Abstract

The objectives of community service are as follows: (1) analyzing knowledge about providing training in the development of social studies learning tools oriented to Perpres Number 87 of 2017 for MGMP IPS teachers in Pekalongan Middle School as a Form of Social Conservation; (2) train IPS-oriented learning tools in Perpres Number 87 of 2017 for MGMP IPS teachers in Pekalongan Middle School. The methods for carrying out this service include outlining priority issues; detailing the justification of problems and solutions; approaching service through lectures, group discussions, questions and answers, brainstorming, and demonstrations; detail work procedures. The results of community service activities, namely community service participants, were very enthusiastic about the Presidential Regulation no. 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education. In the second stage of service, namely implementing the Presidential Regulation No. 87 of 2017 concerning Strengthening Character Education in learning tools. The conclusion in this community service is the Development of Social Studies Learning Tools Oriented to Perpres Number 87 of 2017 For Teachers' Teachers Social Sciences MGMP Pekalongan Middle School as a Form of Social Conservation.     Tujuan dalam pengabdian masyarakat sebagai berikut: (1) menganalisis pengetahuan tentang pemberian pelatihan pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPS berorientasi pada Perpres Nomor 87 Tahun 2017 bagi guru MGMP IPS SMP Pekalongan Sebagai Wujud Konservasi Sosial; (2) melatihkan perangkat pembelajaran IPS berorientasi pada Perpres Nomor 87 Tahun 2017 bagi guru MGMP IPS SMP Pekalongan. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini antara lain memaparkan persoalan prioritas; merinci justifikasi permasalahan dan solusi; melakukan pendekatan pengabdian melalui ceramah, diskusi kelompok, tanya jawab, curah pendapat, dan demonstrasi; merinci prosedur kerja. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yaitu peserta pengabdian sangat antusias pada materi Perpres No. 87 Tahun 2017 tentang Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter. Pada tahap kedua pengabdian yaitu melaksanakan implementasi Perpres No. 87 Tahun 2017 tentang Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter dalam perangkat pembelajaran. Simpulan dalam pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu terdapat Pengembangan Perangkat Pembelajaran IPS Berorientasi Pada Perpres Nomor 87 Tahun 2017 Bagi Guru MGMP IPS SMP Pekalongan Sebagai Wujud Konservasi Sosial.

Abstract

The character building in school which is conducted through the learning process to develop. Further, one of the character values ​​is discipline. (1) the improvement of learning values ​​in social science learning in SMP Negeri 1 Boja; (2) the obstacles which are experienced by the teachers who apply character value in SMP Negeri 1 Boja; (3) the way teachers overcome obstacles when applying the discipline character in the process of social science learning in SMP Negeri 1 Boja. The results of this study indicated that (1) the discipline character building ​​in social science learning in SMP Negeri 1 Boja was integrated through learning tools, activities and evaluation; (2) the problem experienced by the teachers in applying the discipline character in social science learning was there were some students who spoke by their own in learning activity process; (3) the teacher's way to overcome the problem was by giving warning and question. Penanaman pendidikan karakter di sekolah dilaksanakan melalaui proses pembelajaran yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan nilai-nilai karakter Salah satunya nilai karakter disiplin.Tujuan dari penelitian ini (1) penanaman nilai karakter disiplin dalam proses pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Boja; (2) kendala yang dialami guru dalam menerapkan nilai karakter disiplin pada proses pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Boja; (3) cara guru dalam mengatasi kendala saat menerapakan nilai karakter disiplin pada proses pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Boja. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) penanaman nilai karakter disiplin dalam pembelajaran IPS di SMP Negeri 1 Boja diintegrasikan melalui perangkat pembelajaran, kegiatan pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran; (2) kendala yang dialami guru dalam menanamkan nilai karakter disiplin dala pembelajaran IPS adalah masih ada peserta didik yang berbicara sendiri ketika proses kegiatan pembelajaran; (3) cara guru dalam mengatasi kendala tersebut adalah menggunakan teguran halus dan diberikan pertanyaan.

Abstract

Teacher is an important part in the learning process. Besides teaching, the teacher should act as facilitator and motivator for students. Teachers’ Creativity is very important as a support in learning to achieve the learning objectives of the students. Efforts which are done by the teachers are showing up new various ideas, new ways that can make students active, and be able to minimize the causes of learning difficulties of students in Social Science or Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) subject. The research method is qualitative research, with the location of the research is in SMP Negeri 34 Semarang. The research result of teacher creativity in overcoming learning difficulties of students in Social Science subject, there were two factors, namely the internal factors and external factors, the teachers were trying in overcoming learning difficulties of students, as for the efforts that have been done by the teachers, there were obstacles that must be faced by the teachers in overcoming learning difficulties of students. Guru merupakan peranan penting dalam proses pembelajaran. Selain sebagai pengajar, guru harus berperan sebagai fasilitator dan motivator bagi siswa. Kreativitas guru sangat penting sebagai penunjang dalam pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan belajar siswa. Upaya yang dilakukan guru dengan memunculkan berbagai ide-ide baru, caracara baru yang dapat menjadikan siswa aktif, serta dapat meminimalisir penyebab kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS. Metode penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif, dengan lokasi penelitian di SMP Negeri 34 Semarang. Hasil penelitian kreativitas guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS terdapat dua faktor yaitu faktor internal dan faktor eksternal, guru berupaya dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa, adapun upaya yang telah dilakukan oleh guru, terdapat kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa.

Abstract

Character Education Strengthen (PPK), that consists of social care characther education, is applied at SMP 1 Karangtengah. The purposes of this study are: (1) Describing the implementation of social character education in Social Science learning. (2) Describing how the school culture in implementing social care character. (3) Describing the obstacles in the implementation of social care character education in SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah. This is a qualitative descriptive study. Researchers conducted observations, interviews, and documentation. Analysis date uses reduction data, display data, and conclusions. The technique of data validity uses triangulation technique and triangulation source. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of educational character of social care starting from preparation of learning, the implementation of learning and evaluation of learning have been going well. (2) The school culture implemented in SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah already supports the inculcation of social caring character in the students. (3) Obstacles experienced in the implementation of social care character education in the form of obstacles from IPS teachers, differences in the level of understanding of students, and the influence of the outside environment. Penguatan pendidikan karakter (PPK) diantaranya terdiri dari karakter peduli sosial sudah diterapkan di SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu (1) Mendeskripsikan implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli sosial dalam pembelajaran IPS. (2) Mendeskripsikan bagaimana budaya sekolah dalam penanaman karakter peduli sosial. (3) Menjelaskan hambatanhambatan dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter peduli sosial di SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Peneliti melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pengimplementasian pendidikan karakter peduli sosial mulai dari persiapan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran dan evaluasi pembelajaran sudah berjalan dengan baik; (2). Budaya sekolah yang diterapkan di SMP Negeri 1 Karangtengah sudah mendukung penanaman karakter peduli sosial pada siswa. (3). Hambatan yang dialami dalam berupa hambatan dari guru IPS, perbedaan tingkat pemahaman siswa, serta pengaruh lingkungan luar.

Abstract

Teachers must be able to integrate local wisdom in the learning process to create contextual learning. This study aims to determine the learning of social science based on local wisdom, know the inculcation of local wisdom values in Social Studies learning and nalyze the constraints in learning social knowledge based on local wisdom in SMP N 2 Jatinom. This study used qualitative research methods. The results of the study show: (1) Social studies learning by utilizing local wisdom emphasizes the ability to use local wisdom potential. The planning, implementation and evaluation stages are inseparable from the use of local wisdom including legen, pasaran, merak temples, ya qowiyyu and durian festivals. (2) The value of local wisdom instilled in social studies learning in the form of ethical values, social values, and religious values, outside of learning is carried out through the school culture-based character building strengthening program. (3) The obstacles found by the teacher in learning are in the form of external and internal constraints. Guru harus mampu mengintegrasikan kearifan lokal dalam proses pembelajaran agar tercipta pembelajaran yang kontesktual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pembelajaran IPS berbasis kearifan lokal, penanaman nilai kearifan lokal dalam pembelajaran IPS dan menganalisis kendala dalam pembelajaran IPS berbasis kearifan lokal pada SMP N 2 Jatinom. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pembelajaran IPS dengan memanfaatkan kearifan lokal menekankan pada kemampuan pemanfaatan potensi kearifan lokal. Tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan maupun evaluasi tidak lepas dari pemanfaatan kearifan lokal meliputi pasar legen, pasaran, candi merak, ya qowiyyu dan festival durian. (2) Nilai kearifan lokal yang ditanamkan dalam pembelajaran IPS berupa nilai etika, nilai sosial, dan nilai religius, di luar pembelajaran dilakukan melalui program Penguatan Pendidikan Karakter (PPK) berbasis budaya sekolah. (3) Kendala yang ditemukan Guru dalam pembelajaran berupa kendala eksternal dan internal.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence with the Formation of Values and Character in the Field of Education. Artficial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that emphasizes the development of machine intelligence, thinking patterns and working like humans. For example, voice recognition, problem solving, learning and planning. AI is a branch of the digital literacy system that has a major role in the intelligence development process. In the field of education it also needs innovation efforts in learning media, and one of them is the application of AI. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of student learning and to instill values and character while adapting to the AI system. The method used uses experimental methods to find out how adaptation and student responses to the base system in overcoming the problems that occur. AI makes it easy for students and students to support their studies in a visibility and comprehensive manner. Artificial Intelligence does create a student's mindset to be more critical and observant, but it will not completely guarantee good grades and character. So, there is a need for direct guidance and direction from educators coupled with the use of artificial intelligence-based features.

Abstract

The purpose of this community dedication is to provide provisions for the implementation of online Civics and Social Sciences learning at home in Junior High School students as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This dedication uses a situation analysis where in gathering the data information about Civics and Social Sciences learning in the middle of the relevant Covid-19 Pandemic. The result of community dedication showed that the impact of COVID-19 on Civics and Social Sciences online learning in Junior High School has not been implemented well enough. It can be seen from the readiness of the implementation of Civics and Social Sciences online learning in Junior High Schools, as well as creativity in learning Civics and Social Sciences during the new normal period carried out by teachers must be improved. While learning in the new normal period is very much needed collaboration between teachers, students and parents in learning at home. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberi bekal implementasi pembelajaran PKn dan IPS daring dirumah pada peserta didik jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama akibat dari adanya pandemik COVID-19. Pengabdian ini menggunakan analisis situasi dimana dalam mengumpulkan informasi data mengenai pembelajaran PKn dan IPS di tengah Pandemi Covid-19 yang relevan. Hasil dalam pengabdian kepada masyarakat, menunjukkan bahwa dampak COVID-19 terhadap pembelajaran daring PKn dan IPS di Sekolah Menengah Pertamabelum terlaksanakan dengan cukup baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kesiapan implementasi pembelajaran daring PKn dan IPS di Sekolah Menengah Pertama, serta kreativitas dalam pembelajaran PKn dan IPS pada masa ­new normal yang dilaksanakan oleh guru harus ditingkatkan. Sedangkan dalam pembelajaran pada masa new normal sangat diperlukan kerjasama antara guru, peserta didik dan orang tua dalam belajar di rumah.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the understanding of pedagogic and professional competence of social studies teachers in Bawen District, Semarang Regency. The results of the analysis show that pedagogical and professional competence is not fully understood due to several constraints. Pedagogical competency constraints include; (1) the frequency of meeting and emotional closeness, (2) the number of teachers, (3) the ability of human resources, (4) the readiness of students, (5) the burden of multiple subjects, (6) less effective communication, (7) preparation of evaluation procedures not , (8) low willpower. While professional competency constraints include; (1) educational background is irrelevant, (2) readiness of students, (3) motivation to learn, (4) lack of willpower, (5) HR ability. The school seeks to develop teacher competencies, among others through the IHT (In House Training) program including training in the use of instructional media, training in writing scientific papers, training in the preparation of learning tools, etc. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional guru IPS di Kecamatan Bawen Kabupaten Semarang. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional belum dipahami secara maksimal karena beberapa faktor kendala. Kendala kompetensi pedagogik meliputi; (1) frekuensi bertemu dan kedekatan emosional, (2) jumlah guru, (3) kemampuan SDM, (4) kesiapan peserta didik, (5) beban mata pelajaran ganda, (6) komunikasi kurang efektif, (7) penyusunan evaluasi tidak prosedural, (8) rendahnya kemauan. Sedangkan kendala kompetensi profesional meliputi; (1) latar belakang pendidikan tidak relevan, (2) kesiapan peserta didik, (3) motivasi belajar, (4) rendahnya kemauan, (5) kemampuan SDM. Pihak sekolah berupaya untuk mengembangkan kompetensi guru antara lain melalui program IHT (In House Training) meliputi pelatihan penggunaan media pembelajaran, pelatihan penulisan karya ilmiah, pelatihan penyusunan perangkat pembelajaran dsb.

Abstract

Region potential based learning is reflected goverment regulations in the 2013 curriculum, where students must be able to link knowledge with all aspects of life. This study used qualitative research methods. Data collections tecniques throught observation interviews, and documentation. Data sources were obtained from primary and secondary data sources. The validity test in the study used triangulation and data analysis techniques consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the learning implementation plan as a result of the covid-19 pandemic. In implementating the learning proces the teacher use the social studies package book and the Menganti Beach tourism booklet as a social science learning resources. The focus of the material in this research is natural resources and maritime materials. The output of the learning is the from of a summary of the material potential of natural and maritime resources. The obstacles found were the lack of learning resources, limited learning media and internet networks. Pembelajaran berbasis potensi daerah tercermin dalam peraturan pemerintah dalam kurikulum 2013, dimana peserta didik harus mampu mengaitkan pengetahuan dengan seluruh aspek kehidupan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data diperoleh dari sumber data primer dan sekunder. Uji validitas dalam penelitian menggunakan triangulasi dan teknik analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran dilakukan secara daring berpedoman pada kurikulum darurat dan penggunaan rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran satu lembar akibat dari adanya pandemic covid-19. Dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran guru memanfaatkan buku paket IPS dan buklet pariwisata Pantai Menganti sebagai sumber belajar IPS. Fokus materi dalam penelitian ini adalah materi sumber daya alam dan kemaritiman. Adapun output dari pembelajaran tersebut berupa rangkuman materi potensi sumber daya alam dan kemaritiman. Kendala yang ditemukan adalah minimnya sumber belajar, terbatasanya media pembelajaran dan jaringan internet.
