Abstract

Abstract. The development of the world at this time has entered the era of the industrial revolution 4.0, the form of human life has been based on information. Digital literacy is very important for everyone and for the future of nation and state in preparing quality graduates of SMP Bangka Barat and able to compete globally, as well as mastering technological developments. Therefore, digital literacy needs to be developed in today's education world to build a better national character and be ready to face the 21st century education era. The purpose of community service carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Simpang Teritip and SMP Negeri 4 Simpang Teritip Bangka Barat is to analyze how to build the character of students at the junior high school level through digital literacy in learning to face 21st century education. This mentoring method is carried out by observing and inventorying problems, mapping problems, taking actions in the form of providing motivation, counseling, education about character-based digital literacy. The results of community service at SMP Negeri 3 Simpang Teritip and SMP Negeri 4 Simpang Teritip were found some teacher misunderstandings in applying digital literacy in the learning process. In addition, it has succeeded in educating and counseling the use of character-based digital literacy. The conclusion of this community service activity is that the active participation of teachers in this activity is the key to the success of implementing community service. Careful preparation and understanding of character-based digital literacy which is the target is the capital to guarantee the success of the activity. Mentoring, training in the application of character-based digital literacy still needs to be done so that teachers have the ability to develop their professional competencies. Abstrak. Perkembangan dunia pada saat ini telah memasuki era revolusi industri 4.0, bentuk kehidupan manusia telah berbasis informasi. Literasi digital merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk semua orang dan bagi masa depan suatu Bangsa dan Negara dalam menyiapkan lulusan SMP Bangka Barat yang berkualitas dan mampu bersaing secara global, serta menguasai perkembangan teknologi. Oleh karena itu, literasi digital perlu dikembangkan dalam dunia pendidikan sekarang ini untuk membangun karakter bangsa yang lebih baik dan siap menghadapi era pendidikan abad 21. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 3 Simpang Teritip dan SMP Negeri 4 Simpang Teritip Bangka Barat ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana cara membangun karakter peserta didik di tingkat SMP melalui literasi digital dalam pembelajaran untuk menghadapi pendidikan abad 21. Metode pendampingan ini dilakukan dengan cara observasi dan inventarisasi masalah, pemetaan permasalahan, melakukan tindakan berupa pemberian motivasi, penyuluhan, edukasi tentang literasi digital berbasis karakter. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat di SMP Negeri 3 Simpang Teritip dan SMP Negeri 4 Simpang Teritip adalah ditemukan beberapa ketidakpahaman guru dalam mengaplikasikan literasi digital pada proses pembelajaran. Selain itu berhasil dalam edukasi dan penyuluhan penggunaan literasi digital berbasis karakter. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini yaitu partisipasi aktif guru dalam kegiatan ini menjadi kunci suksesnya penyelenggaraan pengabdian pada masyarakat. Persiapan yang matang dan pemahaman literasi digital berbasis karakter yang menjadi sasaran merupakan modal untuk jaminan sukses kegiatan. Pendampingan, pelatihan-pelatihan dalam penerapan literasi digital berbasis karakter ini masih perlu dilakukan agar guru memiliki kemampuan pengembangan kompetensi profesionalnya.

Abstract

One of the largest cities in Indonesia is Semarang City. This city has a very high level of disaster proneness. The following are disasters that often occur in the city of Semarang, including floods, tidal waves, landslides, and droughts. The impact of repeated disasters on urban communities is damage and loss of life. However, currently disaster risk education introduces risk mitigation and disaster preparedness in minimizing the impact of disasters in urban areas. Disaster risk reduction has been included in the school curriculum. The purpose of writing this article is to examine the role of schools in disaster mitigation, disaster curriculum in schools. Empowering school-age children to understand disaster mitigation is the first step in building a disaster-aware community. So that when a disaster occurs, people no longer experience confusion and panic, because they have understood how to reduce disaster risk. School-age children are expected to be able to bring the knowledge they have learned from school and become "agents" who can build a culture of disaster awareness in their environment, so that a resilient society can be realized in dealing with disasters.

Abstract

This paper uses a literature study approach, by dissecting the story of the Wayang Rama Tambak which is analyzed using the theory of character education according to Lickona and Character Education. Lickona's theory is; 1) Love of kindness; 2) Affection; 3) Dare; 4) The value of hard work; 5) Honest; 6) Justice; 7) Value of Responsibility; 8) Cooperation Value. As for the theory of character education values according to Ki Hajar Dewantara, there are also seven that can be imitated from the Rama Tambak puppet story, along with the analysis; 1) Exercise of the Heart (Ethics); 2) Thought (Literacy; 3) Leadership; 4) Gotong Royong; 5) Trust; 6) Nationalists; 7) Character. Wayang is an original Indonesian heritage which contains various character education values that can be used as role models for students, especially elementary school children. This character habituation can be accustomed by imitating the characters or puppet figures.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence with the Formation of Values and Character in the Field of Education. Artficial Intelligence is a branch of computer science that emphasizes the development of machine intelligence, thinking patterns and working like humans. For example, voice recognition, problem solving, learning and planning. AI is a branch of the digital literacy system that has a major role in the intelligence development process. In the field of education it also needs innovation efforts in learning media, and one of them is the application of AI. The purpose of this research is to improve the quality of student learning and to instill values and character while adapting to the AI system. The method used uses experimental methods to find out how adaptation and student responses to the base system in overcoming the problems that occur. AI makes it easy for students and students to support their studies in a visibility and comprehensive manner. Artificial Intelligence does create a student's mindset to be more critical and observant, but it will not completely guarantee good grades and character. So, there is a need for direct guidance and direction from educators coupled with the use of artificial intelligence-based features.

Abstract

In general, this study aims to obtained objective information about the highschool student learning outcomes through learning by discovery-inquiry strategyand expository. The results showed that, the value of the subject matter ofatmospheric post-test experimental group 1 with data analysis using statisticaltest is obtained tcount value (8,186) with a significance level of 5% was obtainedttable (1.70). Value of the subject matter atmospheric post test experimentalgroup 2 with data analysis using statistical test is obtained tcount value (7.981)with a significance level of 5% was obtained ttable (1.70). Because tcount ttablethen stated that there are differences in learning outcomes between discoveryinquirystrategy which helped with laboratory tools with expository learning, andstated that student learning outcomes in experimental group was better (withclass mean value of 77.49) than the student learning outcomes in control group(with class mean value of 69.03).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana implementasi standar proses kurikulum merdeka pada pembelajaran IPS dilaksanakan, selain itu juga untuk mengetahui hambatan apa yang dialami oleh guru IPS dalam implementasi standar proses kurikulum merdeka beserta solusinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian meliputi guru mata pelajaran IPS kelas VII di SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Metode pengumpulan data berupa metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data berupa pengumpulan data, penyajian data, reduksi data lalu penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwasannya implementasi standar proses kurikulum merdeka di SMP Negeri 22 Semarang sudah berjalan sesuai dengan kebijakan yang ada, hanya saja dalam prosesnya muncul berbagai hambatan seperti, belum beradaptasinya guru dalam pelaksanaan standar proses kurikulum merdeka, kurangnya pemahaman dan kesiapan guru, kurangnya sumber daya, serta evaluasi dan penilaian.  The aim of this research is to find out how the implementation of the independent curriculum process standards in social studies learning is carried out, apart from that, it is also to find out what obstacles are experienced by social studies teachers in implementing the independent curriculum process standards and their solutions. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The research objects included class VII social studies teachers at SMP Negeri 22 Semarang. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and documentation methods. Data analysis techniques include data collection, data presentation, data reduction and then drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that the implementation of the independent curriculum process standards at SMP Negeri 22 Semarang has been running in accordance with existing policies, however, in the process various obstacles have arisen such as teachers not yet adapting to implementing the independent curriculum process standards, lack of understanding and readiness of teachers, lack of resources. , as well as evaluation and assessment.

Abstract

This study explores how ethnic identities of Acehnese and Chinese communities are constructed through digital discourse, focusing on narratives of prejudice and integration as expressed on Facebook. Using Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) as the main framework, complemented by Van Dijk’s socio-cognitive approach and Foucault’s discourse-power relationship, this study examines how language, ideology, and social memory shape interethnic representations. Data were collected from public Facebook posts between January and September 2024 using keywords such as “Aceh and Chinese” and “Chinese and Aceh,” and supported by interviews with selected users. The findings reveal a pattern of dualistic representation: historical tensions and symbolic prejudices persist, while efforts towards coexistence and shared identity also emerge. The dominant narratives often come from the Acehnese community, with the Chinese group showing a more cautious approach in digital expression. Labeling, metaphor, polarization, and references to historical trauma and moments of integration are key linguistic strategies identified in the discourse. Social media platforms like Facebook play a paradoxical role—both reinforcing ethnic bias through algorithmic echo chambers and enabling counter-narratives that foster intercultural understanding. Identity construction is shaped by both internal factors (such as education and ideology) and external factors (such as collective memory, interethnic experiences, and digital infrastructure). This study highlights the importance of critical media literacy in multicultural societies, especially in post-conflict areas like Aceh. It suggests the use of inclusive digital spaces and educational interventions that promote reflective historical awareness, reduce prejudice, and support cultural integration in online and offline environments.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi telah memberikan banyak sekali pengaruh dalam kehidupan manusia, dengan memberikan berbagai kemudahan dalam mengakses segala informasi dan komunikasi secara digital, terlebih di masa pandemi Covid-19. Teknologi digitalisasi di era masa kini memberikan pengaruh dalam berbagai aspek, salah satunya dalam aspek pendidikan dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran berbasis digital ditengah pandemi saat ini. Tentunya hal ini berdampak positif bagi anak sebagai peserta didik. Akan tetapi, teknologi juga memberikan dampak negatif bagi anak, yaitu menurunnya nilai dan karakter. Untuk itu, perlu adanya literasi digital agar anak tidak terbawa oleh arus teknologi dan bisa memanfaatkannya dengan sebaik-baiknya. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi melalui literasi digital sebagai upaya untuk mengkonservasi nilai dan karakter kepada anak agar tidak terjadi disintegrasi nilai dan karakter di tengah pandemi Covid-19.Kata Kunci: Literasi Digital, Nilai dan Karakter, Teknologi Digitalisasi

Abstract

This article examines efforts to enhance the capacity of junior high school social studies (IPS) teachers in Semarang City to integrate disaster awareness education into classroom instruction. The study employs a qualitative descriptive approach, conducted through a series of activities including training sessions, mentoring, and evaluations involving participating teachers. Data was collected through direct observation during training and mentoring, documentation of the teachers' lesson plan results, and in-depth interviews. Analysis was conducted using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings indicate a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding of disaster concepts, risk mitigation, and the implementation of pedagogical strategies grounded in local wisdom. The program also successfully produced thematic learning modules that are practical and applicable for disaster-oriented social studies education. Overall, this article contributes to the advancement of disaster education integration within the junior secondary school curriculum.
