Abstract

The practice of violating electoral rules is a phenomenon that often occurs in the election process, especially during the campaign period. All violations that occur must be responded to by taking action through law enforcement in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in order to maintain the implementation of democratic elections and strengthen popular sovereignty. One of the institutions that has the authority in terms of law enforcement against election violations is the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslih). However, the low capacity, knowledge, and understanding of field supervisory officers make it difficult to take action against election violations during the campaign period. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of field supervisory officers in Southwest Aceh Regency so that they have knowledge and understanding related to election supervision so that they can work optimally. The service activities were carried out through lectures and focus group discussions with a statute approach and case study approach. Participants in this activity were all field supervisory officers in Southwest Aceh Regency. The results obtained from this service are (1) participants understand and can identify potential election violations during the campaign period and (2) participants understand the legal basis and identify articles that can be imposed for each election violation during the campaign period. This activity will be a provision for election supervisors in Southwest Aceh Regency and they will apply this understanding in carrying out their duties and functions as supervisors of the implementation of elections in realizing a democratic party that is based on direct, general, free, confidential, honest and fair.

Abstract

Batee Puteh Beach, West Aceh Regency is a beach tourism object that has historical value, but in recent years this beach has had quite a serious problem with trash around its coast. Therefore it is deemed necessary to carry out a community service program in the form of joint action to clean up the Batee Puteh Beach area by knowing Beach Clean Up which can involve various elements including students, tourists, the youth community who are environmentalists, and local residents who are willing to be involved as volunteers. The implementation of this service began with the delivery of material on social marketing, the concept of Coastal Cleanup, followed by dividing the participants into several small groups consisting of 6 people and distributing them to several points around the coast of Batee Puteh Beach. Each group will clear the area for 30 meters. After the activity, service participants understood the importance of cleanliness and management of the coastal environment, and as many as 90 percent of participants also stated that the quantity of waste and pollution had been visibly reduced.

Abstract

Post-armed conflict and tsunami disasters, the Government of Aceh seek to implement public services and development programs transparent and accountable. One of the strategic steps taken is its implementation based on the mandate of the public information disclosure Act (KIP Law) and Aceh Qanun (Aceh Regional Regulation) Number 7 of 2019 on KIP Management. Even though it already has KIP rules, there are still some problems in its implementation, such as compliance with SKPA in providing public information and the number of disputes over public information. This study aims to identify and analyze the dynamics of the implementation of public information within the Aceh Government and the challenges of public management. This study uses a qualitative method through observation, document review, and interviews. The basis of data analysis uses Information Commission Regulation Number 1 of 2010 and Aceh Governor Regulation Number 57 of 2018. The results are (1) SKPA has work plans, programs, and activities for the management of public information; (2) there is a budget allocation for Information and Documentation Implementation Officers (PPID); (3) It has a list of public information and SOPs. The findings of this study also find logistical consequences for the future of Aceh's development through the KIP perspective. Information that is open, accessible, and inexpensive can nurture public trust in the Aceh Government and in itself will increase community participation in development. Trust is the principal social capital in the development of community welfare

Abstract

 The research objective is to analyze the influence of individual characteristics and disclosure of disaster risk information on community preparedness in facing coastal floods. The methodology used is explanatory research with a quantitative approach. In this study, a questionnaire was used with the number of samples were 82 respondents who were in the desa Pasir, Kec. Johan Pahlawan, Kab.Aceh Barat. The results of this study indicate that the individual characteristics of gender, age, and final education have a significant effect on community preparedness to face coastal flooding, but are classified as quite weak. Meanwhile, the disclosure of disaster risk information, namely the intensity of media use, the frequency of media use, and the quality of information has a significant effect on community preparedness to face coastal flooding, and is classified as strong.
