Abstract

The fluctuating price of cayenne pepper can be caused by the characteristics of agricultural commodities and also inefficient supply chain management arrangements. The research objective was to examine the performance of the cayenne supply chain with the approach of SCOR supply chain performance attributes based on reliability, responsiveness, agility, and assets in Gorontalo. The research method used was a survey method using purposive sampling technique. The study was conducted a year (July 2017-July 2018) in Gorontalo Province. Data were obtained from direct interviews with farmers, collectors, wholesalers, retailers. Data analysis utilized DEA (Data Envelopment Analysis). The results showed that the performance of the cayenne supply chain doer in Gorontalo was mostly efficient, only 5 farmers, 1 collecting trader, 1 large trader and 2 retailers whose performance was not efficient.

Abstract

Increasing corn production in Indonesia is one of the government's concerns to ensure the strengthening of food towards self-sufficiency. Improvement of fertilization methods and the use of superior varieties are parts of the intensifications to increase crop productivity. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of NPK fertilizer doses, types of varieties, and their interactions on the growth and production of corn. This study was conducted from July to October 2022 at Bajeng Cereal Research Center (KP) Experimental Garden, Bajeng Sub-district, Gowa District, South Sulawesi at 27.2 m asl, specifically 5o18'21.5” S, 119o28' 38.6” E. The study used a split-plot design with fertilizer doses N:P: K as the main plot (P), namely N:P: K 60% = 120:90:60, N:P: K 80% = 160:120:80, N:P: K 100% = 200:150:100, N:P: K 120% = 240:180:120, and N:P: K 140% = ‎‎280:210:140. The varieties were used as subplots (V), namely Sinhas 1 (V1), Jakarin 1 (V2), Nasa 29 (V3), JH 36 (V4), ‎Bisi 18 (V5), ADV (V6), and Pioner ( V7). The results of the study showed that the combination of the fertilizer doses of N:P:K 100% = ‎‎200:150:100 with Pioner variety (P3V7) obtained the highest average yield of ‎11.81 t. ha-1 among other combinations of N:P: K fertilizer doses with varieties

Abstract

A study aimed to determine the effect of coconut water on the growth of Chrysanthemum explants was conducted. The study was carried out in the form of factorial experiments at Tissue Culture Laboratory, Department of Agronomy, Faculty of Agriculture, Hasanuddin University from December 2022 to March 2023. Media used was Murashige and Skoog (MS) added with three dose of coconut water, 100, 200, and 300 ml, respectively. Plantlets of five varieties of Chrysanthemum, Pinka Pinky, White Bakardy, Maruta, Kineta, and Dera obtained from Tissue Culture Laboratory, Horticultural Plant Seed Center, Bonto-bonto District, Gowa Regency. The explants were planted in Murashige and Skoog (MS) media containing the coconut water according to the treatments. Each combination of treatment was repeated three times. Results show that addition of 100 ml coconut water into the MS media was the best dose for plantlets growth indicated by earliest shoot emergence (9.04 days) and plantlet formation (9.25 days), and highest average number of leaves (15.00 leaves). The coconut water treatment of 200 ml showed the highest average number of roots (14.67 roots). Variation in responses between varieties were observed.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper is one of the horticultural commodities with high economic value in Indonesia. In addition, this plant also never runs out of enthusiast because almost everyone needs it. Therefore, the fulfillment of this demand must be supported by the availability of sufficient cayenne pepper in Indonesia. This research aims to obtain better diversity in the results of double cross and three way cross than their parents, to obtain characters with good genetic parameters in predicting the results of double cross and three way cross crosses, and to obtain hybrid combinations of cayenne pepper resulting from double cross and three way cross which has purple fruit properties. The results of the evaluation of crosses showed that all cross-evaluation characters had a high heritability predictive value and were followed by high genetic diversity in the characters of plant height, dichotomous height, plant habitus, flowering age, harvesting age, fruit weight, fruit length, fruit diameter, fruit stalks length, and yield.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui interaksi antara varietas dengan paket pemupukan yang memberikan produktivitas berbasis IoT, mengetahui varietas yang memberikan produktivitas tinggi untuk setiap paket pemupukan berbasis IoT, mengetahui paket pemupukan yang memberikan produktivitas tinggi untuk setiap varietas berbasis IoT serta mengetahui korelasi antara setiap parameter dengan parameter utama produksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Apala, Kecamatan Barebbo, Kabupaten Bone pada bulan September 2022 hingga Januari 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terpisah dengan petak utama yaitu paket pemupukan NPK = 200:100:100 tanpa kompos, NPK = 150:75:75 + 3 t.ha-1 kompos, dan NPK = 50:25:25 + 5 t.ha-1 kompos sedangkan anak petak adalah varietas Padjajaran, Cakrabuana, Inpari 13, Inpari 19, M70D, dan Inpari 32. Interaksi antara paket pemupukan NPK = 200:100:100 tanpa kompos dengan varietas Inpari 32 (P1V6) memberikan produktivitas terbaik yaitu dengan rata-rata 7.89 ton ha-1 dengan nilai NDVI 0.58. Varietas yang memiliki produktivitas tertinggi yaitu Inpari 32 (V6) dengan rerataan 7.11 ton ha-1 yang memiliki nilai NDVI 0.568. Pada varietas genjah, Inpari 13 (V3) memberikan produktivitas tertinggi dengan rerataan 6.68 ton ha-1 sedangkan nilai rerataan NDVI-nya adalah 0.542. Paket pemupukan dengan produktivitas terbaik adalah NPK = 150:75:75 + 3 t.ha-1 kompos (P2) dengan rerataan 6.11 ton ha-1 sedangan nilai NDVI yang dihasilkan yaitu 0.552. Karakter tanaman yang memiliki korelasi positif dengan produksi adalah tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan produktif, umur berbunga, umur panen, klorofil a, klorofil b, klorofil total, jumlah cabang, total gabah permalai, persentase gabah berisi permalai, panjang daun bendera, lebar daun bendera, bobot 1000 biji, produksi per rumpun dan NDVI. The research aims to determine the interaction between varieties and fertilization packages that provide IoT-based productivity, determine varieties that provide high productivity for each IoT-based fertilization package, determine fertilization packages that provide high productivity for each IoT-based variety and determine the correlation between each parameter with the main parameters of production. The research was conducted in Apala village, Barebbo sub-district, Bone Regency from September 2022 to January 2023. This study used a Separate Plots Design with the main plot being NPK fertilization package = 200:100:100 without compost, NPK = 150:75:75 + 3 t.ha-1 compost, and NPK = 50:25:25 + 5 t.ha-1 compost while the subplots were Padjajaran, Cakrabuana, Inpari 13, Inpari 19, M70D, and Inpari 32. The interaction between NPK fertilization package = 200:100:100 without compost with Inpari 32 variety (P1V6) gave the best productivity with an average of 7.89 tons ha-1 with NDVI value of 0.58. The variety that has the highest productivity is Inpari 32 (V6) with an average of 7.11 tons ha-1 which has an NDVI value of 0.568. In the early maturing variety, Inpari 13 (V3) gave the highest productivity with an average of 6.68 tons ha-1 while its average NDVI value was 0.542. The fertilizer package with the best productivity was NPK = 150:75:75 + 3 t.ha-1 compost (P2) with an average of 6.11 tons ha-1 while the resulting NDVI value was 0.552. Plant characters that have a positive correlation with production are plant height, number of productive tillers, flowering age, harvest age, chlorophyll a, chlorophyll b, total chlorophyll, number of branches, total grain yield, percentage of filled grain yield, flag leaf length, flag leaf width, 1000 seed weight, production per clump and NDVI.

Abstract

Efficiency and effectiveness in controlling crossbreeding are pivotal in yielding superior hybrid varieties with desired traits such as genetic purity and high productivity. Cytoplasmic Male Sterile (CMS) is a crucial component in hybrid variety assembly. This study aims to identify the genotypes that can induce male sterile lines based on genetic diversity and the level of pollen sterility in the prospective male sterile genotypes tested, consisting of seventeen genotypes. The research findings revealed that the genetic diversity among the seventeen observed male-sterile candidate genotypes tends to vary in quantitative traits. Among the quantitative traits, JHD14 exhibited indications of being a male sterility inducer compared to the other genotypes observed, demonstrating a value of 0.00 g in terms of pollen weight. This is further substantiated by the microscopic examination of JHD14 pollen grains, which displayed 100% sterility.

Abstract

Food gardening is an alternative to meet the food and nutritional needs of the family. Empowerment the community in the nickel mining area of Pesouha Village, Kolaka Regency is carried out using the DFT hydroponic system with the aim of ensuring adequate family food through PKK groups in degraded environments. Community empowerment is carried out in 4 stages, namely (1) socialization stage (2) training stage (3) product packaging stage and (4) monitoring and evaluation stage. The results obtained from this community empowerment activity are that the PKK group partners of Pesouha Village have understood, have the ability and infrastructure for hydroponic planting in their yards

Abstract

Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2 menghadapi tantangan rendahnya produktivitas padi akibat penggunaan benih berkualitas rendah dan kurangnya benih yang adaptif terhadap perubahan iklim. Hal ini disebabkan oleh terbatasnya ketersediaan benih unggul di Kabupaten Barru. Sebagai solusi yang ditawarkan, kedua mitra dilatih untuk memproduksi benih padi varietas genjah yang lebih resilien terhadap perubahan iklim. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani dan menunjang kemandirian perbenihan dengan memproduksi benih padi varietas genjah di Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi sosialisasi program pengabdian, pelatihan produksi benih unggul mulai dari awal hingga pemasaran benih serta para kelompok tani dilatih memproduksi kompos dari sumberdaya organik, serta dilakukan pendampingan pembuatan demplot perbenihan padi. Hasil yang dicapai menunjukkan bahwa Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2 kini mampu memproduksi benih secara mandiri dan meningkatkan hasil panen. Pada Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1, hasil panen varietas Cakrabuana meningkat dari 3,05 ton/ha (kontrol) menjadi 4,14 ton/ha setelah pemupukan, sedangkan pada Kelompok Tani Cendrana 2, hasil panen varietas Padjajaran meningkat dari 5,2 ton/ha (kontrol) menjadi 6,7 ton/ha. Pendapatan yang semula Rp. 550.000.000,- kini menjadi Rp. 1.265.000.000,- Program ini berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan produktivitas padi dan kemandirian benih unggul di Kabupaten Barru. Dengan keberlanjutan program ini, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraan pada Kelompok Tani Cendrana 1 dan 2. Kata kunci: Benih unggul, hasil panen, kemandirian perbenihan, kelompok tani, padi genjah, perubahan iklim, produktivitas. ABSTRACT Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2 face the challenge of low rice productivity due to the use of low-quality seeds and the lack of seeds that are adaptive to climate change. This is due to the limited availability of superior seeds in the Barru District. As a solution, Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2 were trained to produce early-maturing rice seeds more resilient to climate change. This community service activity aims to increase farmers' income and support seed independence by producing early-maturing rice seeds in Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2. The methods applied include socialization of the service program, training in superior seed production from the beginning to seed marketing farmer groups are trained to produce compost from organic resources, and assistance in making rice seedling demonstration plots. The results show that Cendrana Farmer Groups 1 and 2 can now produce seeds independently and increase yields. In Cendrana Farmer Group 1, the yield of the Cakrabuana variety increased from 3.05 tons/ha (control) to 4.14 tons/ha after fertilization, while in Cendrana Farmer Group 2, the yield of the Padjajaran variety increased from 5.2 tons/ha (control) to 6.7 tons/ha. The income that was initially IDR. 550,000,000 is now IDR. 1,265,000,000 This program significantly contributes to the increase in rice productivity and superior seed independence in the Regency. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh pemberian kompos Azolla dan Trichoderma asperellum terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman bibit kopi arabika. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Penangkar Bibit Buntu Pasele, Rantepao, Toraja Utara, Sulawesi Selatan, dengan luas perkebunan sebesar 1 ha dan berada pada ketinggian 800-1200 mdpl. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Petak Terpisah (RPT). Petak utama adalah dosis Trichoderma asperellum terdiri atas 3 taraf, yaitu: 0 g/polybag, 20 g/polybag, dan 40 g/polybag, sedangkan anak petak adalah dosis kompos Azolla terdiri atas 4 taraf yaitu: 0 g/polybag, 10 g/polybag, 20 g/polybag dan 30 g/polybag. Berdasakan kedua faktor tersebut terdapat 12 kombinasi perlakuan, dan setiap kombinasi perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali sehingga diperoleh 36 satuan percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 3 (tiga) tanaman, sehingga jumlah keseluruhan adalah 108 tanaman percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi antara Trichoderma asperellum dan kompos Azolla memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap jumlah daun (11,33 helai), klorofil total (592,8 µmol.m-2) dan kerapatan stomata (422,9 µm2). Dosis kompos Azolla memberikan hasil terbaik pada tinggi tanaman (23,81 cm), bera akar basah (3,04 g), berat akar kering (0,79 g), berat kering tajuk (5,28 g), klorofil a (401,4 µmol.m-2), klorofil b (202,3 µmol.m-2), luas bukaan stomata (57,3 µm2). Dosis Trichoderma asperellum memberikan hasil terbaik pada berat basah tajuk (18,32 g).

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan memperbaiki sistem produksi benih padi untuk mendapatkan metode perbenihan padi yang ideal dikembangkan pada setiap wilayah pengembangan berdasarkan agroekologi padi dengan teknologi minapadi secara terpadu dengan penentuan varietas yang sesuai dan perbaikan kualitas lahan melalui pemanfaatan limbah organik dengan menggunakan mikroorganisme lokal (MOL). Kegiatan ini berlangsung selama 8 bulan di Kabupaten Bone dengan menggunakan sistem tanam legowo 2:1. Disamping itu, sistem legowo yang memberikan ruang yang luas (lorong) sangat cocok dikombinasikan dengan pemeliharaan ikan (minapadi legowo).  Hasil ikan yang diperoleh mampu menutup sebagian biaya usahatani sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan petani.  Perbenihan padi merupakan salah satu usaha tani yang dapat dikelola oleh petani dan keluarganya secara berkelompok pada kelompok tani Wanuae dan Harapan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan benih padi sendiri dan dapat juga dijual ke petani di daerah lainnya sebagai suatu usaha agribisnis teknologi minapadi. Selain memproduksi padi juga memproduksi ikan yang secara langsung akan menambah pendapatan petani sehingga diharapkan teknologi ini dapat diserap oleh petani dan dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan.  Untuk keperluan tersebut, maka sebuah lembaga penelitian dan pengabdian masyarakat bekerja sama dengan Fakultas Pertanian Unhas diharapkan dapat membina kelompok tani menjadi penangkar benih melalui pelatihan dan praktek di wilayah kerjanya masing-masing, yang meliputi: teknik pembuatan/cara menghasilkan benih padi berkualitas, cara mempertahankan kualitas benih dan cara mendeteksi atau mengukur kualitas benih, serta teknik budidaya minapadi yang baik dan benar. Kata kunci: perbenihan padi, minapadi, mikroorganisme lokal
