Abstract

Excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) rays can damage facial skin. Carbon Quantum Dots (CQDs) are active ingredients that can be formulated into peel-off masks needed to protect facial skin from UV exposure. This research aims to formulate a peel-off mask as facial skin protection made from the active ingredient CQDs from rice washing water, test the characteristics, and determine user responses to the product. The mask formulation is divided into five versions, namely F0 (without CQDs), F1, F2, and F3 (with CQDs added at concentrations of 2%, 4%, and 6%, respectively), and F+ (with added vitamin C). The resulting formulations were tested through physical tests, fluorescence using a UV lamp, and UV blocking tests. The test results for the five mask formulas showed a pH range of 4.5-5.6, stability over three weeks of storage, drying time within 27-30 minutes, homogeneity, viscosity ranging from 12,810-18,430 cPs, and spreadability ranging from 5.4-6.6 cm. The results of the organoleptic test using the one-way ANOVA test show that variations in mask formulas do not have a significantly effect on preferences for color, smell, texture, and general preferences. The results of the fluorescence test showed that there was luminescence in formulas F1, F2, and F3. UV blocking properties in the wavelength range 290-320 nm are shown in the formulas F1, F2, F3, and F+. Based on these tests, it can be concluded that the peel-off mask formulation with CQDs from rice wash water successfully produced a good peel-off mask product with a high SPF value, especially in formula F3.

Abstract

Inefficient digital systems for managing chemistry laboratories in secondary schools often impede effective record-keeping, inventory management, and practicum reporting. This study developed Chemlab Excel, a practical and accessible offline Microsoft Excel-based laboratory management system, eliminating the need for an internet connection or additional software. Employing a Research and Development (RD) approach with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), and involved nine purposively selected respondents, including chemistry teachers, laboratory heads, and lab assistants from SMA Negeri 1 Bireuen and SMA Negeri 1 Samalanga. The study utilized expert validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, and the System Usability Scale (SUS) for data collection. Validity was assessed using Aiken's V, and inter-rater reliability was measured via the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Three experts validated the system, with trials conducted in two secondary schools in Bireuen Regency. Results showed high feasibility, with Aiken's V coefficients of 0.852 (media) and 0.869 (material), and ICC values of 0.768 (media) and 0.761 (material), indicating good reliability. The SUS score averaged 72.22%, and teacher responses reached 94.64%, reflecting user-friendliness and enhanced efficiency. Chemlab Excel proves to be a feasible, contextually relevant solution for laboratory management, contributing to streamlined administrative processes in science education and offering a scalable, accessible tool for secondary schools.

Abstract

Inovasi pelayanan publik memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat khususnya dalam proses pelayanan publik di kelurahan. Salah satu wujud inovasi pelayanan publik di Kelurahan Pesurungan Lor melalui aplikasi Whatsapp. Tujuan penelitian ini adlaah untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis inovasi pelayanan publik melalui aplikasi Whatsapp di Kelurahan Pesurungan Lor Kecamatan Margadana Kota Tegal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inovasi pelayanan publik yang diselenggarakan telah memenuhi karakteristik keuntungan relatif, kesesuaian, kemudahan, tingkat kerumitan, dan kemungkinan dicoba. Pelayanan publik melalui Whatsapp memiliki keuntungan relatif, yaitu dapat menjawab tuntutan masyarakat terutama bagi masyarakat yang tidak dapat datang secara langsung ke kelurahan untuk mengurus berkas/dokumen. Inovasi tersebut pun telah berkesesuaian dengan kebutuhan masyarakat, memberikan kemudahan bagi masyarakat, dan inovasi pelayanan tersebut memungkinkan untuk dicoba dan dilanjutkan pada pelayanan di masa depan. Adapun tingkat kerumitan pelayanan telah didukung oleh kejelasan prosedur pelayanan. Kebaruan penelitian ini terletak pada pengembangan model inovasi pelayanan publik berbasis aplikasi pesan instan yang bersifat low-cost dan mudah direplikasi oleh pemerintah daerah lain. Kesimpulannya, inovasi pelayanan publik melalui aplikasi Whatsapp di Keluratan pesurungan Lor telah memenuhi lima karakteristik inovasi, namun masih menghadapi dua tantangan yaitu berkaitan dengan sarana prasana dan aspek sumber daya manusia.   Kata Kunci: Inovasi Pelayanan Publik; Aplikasi WhatsApp; Digitalisasi Pelayanan Publik.
