Abstract

Purpose - This study aims to analyze the effect of the work environment and Knowledge sharing on employee performance by mediating innovative behavior.Design/methodology/approach - The sampling method used was the census method. The research subjects were the Settlement Infrastructure Agency for DI Yogyakarta Region employees, while data retrieval employed a questionnaire for 146 respondents. However, questionnaires only processed data for 100 respondents. Data analysis used Partial Least Square (PLS) inferential, variance-based SEM with SmartPLS Version 3.0 software.Findings - The results showed that the work environment and knowledge sharing had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, the work environment had no effect on innovative behavior or was not proven, knowledge sharing had a positive and significant effect on innovative behavior, innovative behavior had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The mediation results showed that innovative behavior could partially mediate the influence of the work environment and Knowledge sharing on employee performance. The role of innovative behavior in mediating the work environment and Knowledge sharing had a positive and significant effect on employee performance, so, in this study, innovative behavior could mediate the work environment and Knowledge sharing on employee performance.Research limitations/implications – Respondents who returned the questionnaires to the researchers were not 100% of the total sample population, so the analysis results were not the same as the hypothesis.Originality/value - The novelty of this research is to examine the role of mediating innovative behavior in the influence of KS and the work environment on employee performance in public service employees who have different characteristics when compared to employees of non-public organizations.

Abstract

Purpose - This article is a bibliometric study of innovation research and internal collaboration in organizations at three levels (i.e., individual, work team, and organization). Design/methodology/approach - This research was conducted using Publish or Perish software and VOS Viewer to analyze 6,356 academic articles from 2000 to 2022 in four aspects: temporal distribution of published papers, the scientific community (country/region/authors cited), intellectual structure (journals) cited/references cited), and research centers. Findings and Discussion – The results show that the number and growth rate of publications at the organizational level is much higher than the other two levels (individual and teamwork). This is based on innovation which is often related to collaboration within the organization. The publications with top three countries for the most publications are the United States, China, and the United Kingdom. The top five most cited authors were identified and listed from the individual, work team, and organizational levels Originality - The author combines innovation and collaboration as an interesting subject because not many have made a review of this material. These findings provide a snapshot and comparison of innovation research in management at three levels namely, individual, work team, and organizational levels, which are useful for researchers and students to understand and explore innovative behavior in organizations from a multilevel perspective.

This research is a quantitative study that uses questionnaires as the main data collection tool with a Likert scale. Data analysis methods using descriptive and inferential analysis, the analytical tool used is variance-based Partial Least Square (PLS) SEM, with SmartPLS V.4.0 software. PLS testing consists of indicator testing, model fit, hypothesis testing and mediation analysis. Conclusion – The results of this study indicate that the high level of Ki Hajar Dewantara's leadership and emotional intelligence does not affect the high level of turnover intention; Ki Hajar Dewantara's leadership trilogy and emotional intelligence have a significant positive effect on distributive justice; and distributive justice has a significant negative effect on turnover intention

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objectives: Current business growth cannot be optimal if it is not accompanied by innovation performance. This study explores the relationship between innovation performance, temporal leadership, and transformational leadership involving an intervening variable of self-efficacy. Background Problems: The process of transforming management from manual to digital requires leaders to be temporal and transformational to support direct and indirect atmosphere of innovation performance through employees’ self-efficacy.  Novelty:  Temporal and transformational leadership are like two complementary currency coins in the process of changing from manual management to a digital system. Furthermore, this research has never been carried out, therefore validation is needed. Research Methods: The nonprobability sampling method of the study using saturated sampling involved 85 respondents of the employees of distributor company. The hypotheses were tested using SmartPLS. Finding/Results: The results showed that temporal leadership has a direct significant positive impact on innovation performance and self-efficacy. Additionally, transformational leadership also shows a direct significant positive impact on innovation performance and self-efficacy. This study argues that self-efficacy also shows a significant positive impact on innovation performance. In addition, self-efficacy intervened the impact of temporal and transformational leadership on innovation performance. Conclusion: Temporal and transformational leadership have a beneficial effect in increasing innovation performance and self-efficacy is proven to be a mediation. The practical implication is the need to strengthen leaders to maintain a positive attitude towards employee self-efficacy to carry out innovative performance.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) are of importance in the success and growth of Indonesia's national economy. These enterprises form the backbone of the workforce and their marketing performance is a key indicator of progress. However, studies by marketing experts indicate a disagreement between the outcome of market sensing capability and marketing performance. Based on several reports, a sales team that can see the market ahead of time impacts marketing personnel's performance. In contrast, other marketing experts discovered that market sensing quality does not hold such influence. Therefore, this study aimed to resolve the controversy surrounding the investigation by proposing a new concept, such as customer response quality, using a theoretical model. The participants included were 259 MSME actors in Yogyakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Furthermore, questionnaire, data were collected and analyzed using SEM. The results showed that customer orientation, learning orientation, and market sensing quality significantly and positively affected customer response quality. Among these, learning orientation has the most considerable influence. The novelty of this study is that customer response power capability had a significant positive effect on marketing performance. Meanwhile, customer orientation, learning orientation, and market sensing quality had no direct impact, therefore, it was recommended that MSME should focus on the company's ability to sense market quality, customer orientation, and learning orientation to respond to customers, and subsequently increase marketing performance.
