Abstract

Character education is a must for countries that want to make their citizens have good attitudes and behaviors. The goal to be achieved in Community Service activities is to make students aware of the need to have and implement attitudes that have character. In the school environment, the teacher's role is to educate the character of students. Thus, community service activities want to make students aware and want to instill and develop character attitudes through socialization. Socialization is given to provide direct literacy of character education to students. Socialization is filled with questions and answers so that students who are not familiar with matters relating to character can immediately ask the implementation team.

Abstract

This thesis examines the implementation of the hypnoteaching method assisted by media images in history class X IPS SMA N 1 Sitiung. The implementation of the hypnoteaching method assisted by media images in the history subject of class X IPS is carried out to increase students' interest in learning history. This writing aims to describe the implementation of the hypnoteaching method assisted by media images in the history subject of class X IPS SMA N 1 Sitiung. This research method is quantitative using a descriptive approach. Data collection is through questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Questionnaires were distributed to students in class X, totaling 30 people. The data analysis technique is through the data collection stage, through descriptive analysis techniques using the percentage formula and after that conclusions are drawn. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Haypotiching method assisted by media images in history subjects at SMA N 1 can create an effective and enjoyable teaching and learning process and is able to provide meaning for students so that the material provided by the teacher can be well received and stays in students' memories.

Abstract

Kegiatan PKM ini mempunyai tujuan untuk memenuhi salah satu pilar pendidikan tinggi, serta dengan maksud untuk melatih mahasiswa dalam mencari referensi jurnal yang terindeks di Scopus dan memahami penggunaan teknis Mendeley Desktop. Tujuannya ialah untuk memberi peningkatan kualitas karya ilmiah mahasiswa tingkat akhir, karena seringkali dosen menghadapi kendala dalam menyusun referensi akademik, yang termasuk masalah umum yang ada di lingkungan akademik sebab kurangnya pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan media bantu yang bisa mengatasi masalah tersebut. Oleh karena itu, pendampingan diperlukan, termasuk dalam mencari referensi berkualitas di jurnal yang terindeks di Scopus dan memakai Mendeley Desktop untuk mengutip artikel internasional yang mempunyai reputasi. Kegiatan ini dijalankan dengan tatap muka serta diikuti oleh 40 mahasiswa tingkat akhir di semester terakhir. Hasil program pengabdian tersebut sukses meraih target yang sudah ditetapkan. Pelatihan dalam mencari referensi di Scopus dan pemahaman teknis Mendeley Desktop telah sukses memberikan peningkatan pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan dalam penulisan ataupun penyusunan karya ilmiah, terutama dalam penulisan skripsi. Hal ini terbukti dari peningkatan nilai persentase peserta yang mengetahui materi itu dengan nilai 58% memahami serta sebanyak 48% sangat memahami

Abstract

Character is an important aspect that needs to be instilled in students in forming morals. Especially for students who have entered the upper secondary level of education. However, the corona virus pandemic makes it difficult for educators to apply distance learning, especially in cultivating student character according to Islamic religious education learning. This is because the previously face-to-face learning system has changed to online. This is what causes educators to make more efforts to instill good character in students. Therefore, the research is aimed at finding out in order to analyze what educators need to do in realizing the formation of student character during the corona virus pandemic using an online learning system. The research method uses quantitative methods (observation, interviews, distribution of questionnaires) to make it easier to collect the intended respondents. The results of this research were analyzed according to the objects obtained from the educator respondents to cultivate student character using an online system. The studies that are formed in cultivating character are cleanliness, discipline, responsibility according to the learning values of Islamic religious education. In this research, there are a few limitations felt by educators, namely regarding the lack of media and supporting applications to fulfill the cultivation of students' character by learning Islamic religious education. So it is hoped that future researchers will be able to provide media development as a means of supporting learning and making it easier for educators to shape students' character through Islamic religious education.

Abstract

Character education is very much needed for today's young generation. This is caused by the progress of the times whose impact is increasingly being felt on changes in the character or behavior of Indonesia's younger generation. Law Number 20 of 2003 also mandates to create students with noble character or morals. This is the basis for this community service activity. This service activity is carried out through several stages, namely (1) needs analysis; (2) work plan; (3) implementation of activities and (4) evaluation. The final result of this community service activity is an increase in the understanding of Sipora 2 Public High School students about the importance of character in responding and continuing life activities in the future.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the existence of a driving teacher who is tasked with leading learning in encouraging the growth and development of a holistic, active, and proactive learning system in shaping student character through the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project at SMAN 5 Sijunjung. This research aims to describe the role of driving teachers in developing student character-building programs through the Project for Strengthening Pancasila Student Profiles in History Learning and the role of driving teachers in implementing student character-building programs through the Strengthening Pancasila Student Profile Project. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, namely explaining the phenomenon of social reality which is complete, complex, dynamic, meaningful, and interactive, expressed rationally, empirically, and systematically. The results of this research show that the driving role of teachers in shaping student character, the role of driving teachers in preparing student character-building programs through P5 is in the form of designing programs, dividing each other's tasks with other teachers, and helping create activity programs with teachers at school.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang peristiwa PRRI dalam pemberitaan koran The Press. Permasalahan yang penulis angkat dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana isi pemberitaan PRRI dalam koran The Press 1958. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mendeskripsikan bagaimana isi pemberitaan koran PRRI dalam koran The Press 1958. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yang terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: 1). Heuristik, merupakan tahap awal yang dilakukan yaitunya pengumpulan sumber-sumber yang berkaitan dengan penelitian yang diperoleh melalui studi pustaka. 2). Kritik sumber, yang bertujuan untuk menguji keabsahan data yang telah diperoleh, dalam tahapan ini dilakukanlah kritik internal dan kritik eksternal. 3). Interpretasi, merupakan tahapan menganalisis sumber-sumber yang sudah didapat, dan 4). Historiografi, tahapan terakhir dari penelitian sejarah yaitu penulisan dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan kedalam sebuah karya ilmiah yang datanya dapat dibuktikan dengan akurat. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan pemberitaan mengenai peristiwa PRRI. The Press merupakan media asing yang memberitakan tentang peristiwa PRRI selama enam bulan pada tahun 1958, dalam pemberitaanya tersebut The Press memiliki berbagai pokok pembahasaan yang berbeda ditiap bulannya diantaranya; komunisme di Indonesia, politik, peristiwa-peristiwa yang terjadi pada masa PRRI, Mr. politikWilhelm Pesik serta pribadi Soekarno, dan beberapa berita yang berkaitan dengan peristiwa PRRI. Selanjutnya diketahui bahwa The Press didalam pemberitaanya tidak hanya melalui sumber berita yang dikumpulkan secara lansung dari lapangan, melainkan juga mengambil sumber dari media lainnya.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the Implementation of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) Cooperative Learning Learning Model in Improving Students' Critical Thinking in Civics Learning at SMP N 1 Sitiung. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with the research location at SMP N 1 Sitiung. The informants in this study totaled 7 people including 6 students, 1 educator who taught Civics subjects. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation techniques, then for data analysis techniques carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the process of implementing the cooperative learning model type Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) in increasing students' critical thinking in learning PPKn at SMP N 1 Sitiung has been carried out well. This is inseparable from the efforts that have been made by educators. The efforts made by educators in increasing students' critical thinking are by changing the learning model used in the learning process. The cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type is an example of a learning model that can improve students' critical thinking. Another effort made by educators to increase students' critical thinking is by creating a fun learning process by providing motivation to students to be more active in learning. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the process of implementing the cooperative learning model of the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) type in increasing students' critical thinking in Civics learning at SMP N 1 Sitiung has been carried out well. The efforts that have been made by educators in increasing students' critical thinking are: (a) creating fun learning (b) conducting intensive guidance to groups experiencing difficulties (c) giving rewards to groups that can present the results of discussions well.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji tentang Perekonomian Masyarakat Kabupaten Bungo Pasca pemekaran 1999-2013. yang merupakan permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Bagaimana perkembangan perekonomian masyarakat Kabupaten Bungo pasca pemekaran. (2) Bagaimana dampak pemekaran Kabupaten Bungo dalam bidang ekonomi terhadap masyarakat. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan perkembangan perekonomian masyarakat Kabupaten Bungo pasca pemekaran. (2) mendeskripsikan dampak di bidang ekonomi setelah di adakan pemekaran. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian sejarah,pertama heuristik adalah kegiatan yang mengumpulkan data dari berbagai sumber dokumen, arsip, dan wawancara. kedua kritik sumber adalah kegiatan untuk menguji sumber-sumber yang telah dikumpulkan melalui kritik internal dan eksternal. ketiga interpretasi adalah data yang diperoleh dilapangan maupun dari studi kepustakaan. mengkaji dan mengaitkan antara sebab dan akibat terjadi peristiwa tersebut. keempat historiografi adalah menyajikan laporan penelitian dengan cara mendeskripsikan secara logis dan sistematis terhadap data yang diolah kedalam bentuk ilmiah atau skripsi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, sebelum wilayah Kabupaten Bungo dimekarkan begitu banyak permasalahan yang muncul salah satunya di bidang ekonomi. setelah Kabupaten Bungo dimekarkan permasalahan yang muncul sudah mulai terlihat perubahan karena pihak pemerintah Kabupaten Bungo sudah mulai fokus mengelola wilayah Bungo dan mulai memperhatikan kesejahteraan perekonomian masyarakatnya. setelah wilayah Kabupaten Bungo dimekarkan dampak pemekaran dibidang ekonomi sudah mengalami kemajuan yang baik salah satu sumber pencaharian masyarakat Kabupaten Bungo adalah di bidang pertanian terutama budidaya tanaman kelapa sawit dan karet. dapat disimpulkan setelah terbentuknya Kabupaten Bungo ini perkembangan berdampak positif terlihat pada pembangunan fisik dan fasilitas penunjang perekonomian masyarakat. serta perubahan dalam taraf kehidupan ekonomi masyarakat terlihat dari segi bangunan, pembukaan jalan dan terus mengalami peningkatan hingga dibangunnya bandar udara Kabupaten Bungo

Abstract

This paper explores the role and identity of the Jalur Shaman within the Pacu Jalur rowing tradition inKuantan Singingi Regency, Indonesia. While the original approach adopts a historical-biographicalmethod, this revision reframes the study through a discourse-analytic lens to better interrogate how theshaman’s role, ritual language, and spiritual objects function as symbolic practices. The central figure,Jasri, a renowned shaman, guides the spiritual preparation of rowing teams through ritual prayers,protective symbols, and oral transmission of traditional values. Drawing from interviews and culturalobservation, the study investigates how speech, artifacts, and biography co-construct the Jalur Shaman'slegitimacy. Adopting theoretical insights from Critical Discourse Analysis and Ritual Theory, the studyanalyzes prayers as performative speech acts and the shaman’s tools (e.g., knives, necklaces) as culturaltexts encoding meanings of defense, identity, and cosmological belief. The article reveals how theauthority of a shaman is not inherited, but constructed through community narratives, ritualperformance, and symbolic alignment with ancestral power. Findings suggest that the shaman’s discoursesustains a sacred space where tradition is enacted, remembered, and renewed. Beyond preservingheritage, Jasri’s role reflects resistance against modern secularization and provides a platform forcollective spiritual identity in the postcolonial context. The study recommends incorporating discourse-sensitive approaches to analyze spiritual roles in Indigenous communities and preserving oral texts as partof intangible cultural heritage. Future research could explore the tension between institutional religiousframeworks and localized spiritual discourse in similar traditions across Southeast Asia.
