Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe how social studies teachers in the use of instructional media in SMPN IPS 9 Padang. This study aims to determine the type of tool used by teachers in the teaching and learning of history in the SMPN IPS 9 Padang and whether the media are used in accordance with the material presented. Ideally media that can be used in teaching and learning history is a map, images/photographs and documentary films. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with research sites in SMPN 9 Padang. The informants in this study include social studies teachers, amounting to 3 people, the principal and several students through observation, interview and document through the RPP. The accuracy of the materials research was tested by using triangulation, the materials research were analyzed with an interactive model that consists of data collection, data reduction , data display and conclusion. The results showed that the use of tool in teaching social studies in the history of the SMPN 9 Padang generally not been implemented to the fullest, because of the lack of tool  provided by the school. While factors - factors that cause teachers not using media in teaching social studies in the SMPN 9 Padang, among others: the lack of tool provided, even though the teacher is equipped with sufficient material and mature science in college, it can not guarantee that teachers can deliver material with more extensive and complete. Limitations of the media provided by the school teachers also resulted in less use of media in accordance with the material presented. From the above it can be concluded that the use of instructional media in SMPN 9 Padang IPS is not maximized because the teachers do not understand the function of the media and the lack of media in schools.  Key Words: Media, Teaching and Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis thesis examines the process of expansion Balingka Koto district, who officially split from Beremas River District in 2003 with the issuance of Law No. 38 Year 2003 on the establishment of Balingka Koto district and two other district in Pasaman.The methot of historical research, the firs heuristic is data collection. The second criticism is the source of the tes data. The third interpretation of the combined data with other data. Historiography is the fourth present the results of research in the from of thesis.These results indicate that peoples desire to establish Balingka Koto district itself has existed since the existence of a problem that occurs between the Trenches with Air Bangis Nagari, District Koto Balingka birth is a very long struggle and also a very unique event as the birth of a Balingka Koto district, with the demands of citizens in the Trenches of regents then form a new district with the name Koto Balingka district. Keywords: regional growth, power, rule

Abstract

ABSTRACT This thesis study about the development Muslim Boarding School Pembangunan Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya (1952-2004). The wole problem in this thesis is about the history, condition, development and the factors that influence of the development of muslim boarding school Pembangunan Pulau Punjung. In generally the purpose of this research is to uncover the education’s development of muslim boarding school Pembangunan Pulau Punjung since 1952 until 2004, mean while the specific purpose is to describe the development of muslim boarding school Pembangunan Pulau Punjung since 1952-2004. The method of this research is the history method which the phases below, heuristic is collectiy the data. Interpretation is master about meaning and interpretation of the information that has collected, then historiografi is writing the  result of the research in scientific writing or thesis. The result of this research is the establisment Muslim boarding school Pembangunan Pulau Punjung motivated by the desire Hj. Rawiyana after she graduated her education in one of the school at Bukittinggi, that is Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah to establish a school that Islamic. The purpose is to help the society to solved the problem in education. In 1952, Muslim Boarding School named Madrasah Tarbiyah Islamiyah with non formal education. In 1966 changed be Islamic of junior high school. In 1969 that establish of PGA, in 1978 PGA changed be MTS and MA and in 1983 establish the institute of Muslim Boarding School Pembangunan Pulau Punjung. In it’s development of muslim boarding school Pembangunan Pulau Punjung, in part of education although in buildings can not separate of help from the religion department, the foundation of Amal bakti Muslim Pancasila, society, and the leader of muslim boarding school. Abstract

ABSTRAC Background history of the Foundation for the Tri Bhakti was originally intended to establish private educational institutions to be able to help people who can not afford education. The decision was taken based on stewardship policies implemented as a result of deliberation and consensus on the management of the institution implemented. The results of the stewardship agreement is also likely to determine the shape and range of activities that can be run at this educational institution. This thesis aims to describe the background of the establishment of the Foundation Tri Bhakti Foundation role in the Mentawai Islands District Sikakap in education and religion during the years 2002 to 2012.The results showed that the first, historical background of the establishment of the Foundation Tri Bhakti was originally intended to establish private educational institutions to be able to help people who can not afford education. The decision was taken based on stewardship policies implemented as a result of deliberation and consensus on the management of the institution implemented. The results of the stewardship agreement is also likely to determine the shape and range of activities that can be run at this educational institution. Second, the role of the Foundation in the field of education Tri Bhakti new limited formal education activities for junior high schools. However, Tri Bhakti Foundation has also helped organize non-formal education by opening English and computer courses. Furthermore the role of religion and religious foundations have been run properly, which for people who want to embrace a religion management is assisted by the foundation. As for the matter of religion, the foundation guiding young people through workshops to be able to understand the customs and culture, as well as several arts and cultural activities Mentawai tribe. Based on the research that has been done can be concluded that, Tri Bhakti Foundation has been carrying out its role in the District Sikakap in the field of formal education by setting up SMP, and non-formal with open courses in English and Computer. It also has roles in the field of religion by establishing cultural workshop to teach the younger generation the art of indigenous cultures Mentawai tribe.Keywords : Education, Religious, Tri Bhakti Foundation

Abstract

Belajar sejarah adalah salah satu kunci dalam proses pembentukan karakter bangsa. Tercapainya hal itu tentu ditentukan oleh proses pembelajaran sejarah itu sendiri. Pada tingkat mikro, pencapaian kualitas pembelajaran tergantung pada kemampuan seorang guru. Sedangkan pada tataran makro harus didukung oleh sistem yang efisien dan efektif. Sehubungan dengan itu, maka tulisan ini mencoba menguraikan tentang keterkaitan kedua hal itu dalam melaksanakan pengajaran sejarah.

Abstract

Education is one of social institution that has important role to enhance prestiges and human's dignities. Education helps people to build a good relation each others. Higher education usually indicate better social life. Therefore, parents have the responsibility to their children's education. Government also have responsibility to make a good system that agree with development of various fields. Coconut farming communities generally have low income, but they have good motivation to send their children to university.This study aims to know  the motivation of farmers to provide a better education for their children and also some of  factors that influences their successful studies. Based on this study, to get a better social life than their parents is the motivation of coconut farmers that their children get higher education. Meanwhile, the success rate of farmer's son graduated depending on the favorable situation to supporting them to learn better and also good financial supports from their families during the studiesPendidikan merupakan suatu lembaga sosial dalam membentuk individu dalam bersosialisasi untuk meningkatkan harkat martabat manusia. Pendidikan merupakan tanggung jawab masyarakat sebagai orang tua dan pemerintah, maka itu pendidikan perlu menyesuaikan dengan tuntutan pembangunan yang memerlukan berbagai jenis keterampilan dari berbagai bidang. Masyarakat petani kelapa pada umumnya memiliki penghasilan yang rendah, akan tetapi mereka memiliki motivasi yang kuat agar anak-anak mereka bisa mengecap pendidikan sampai ke Perguruan Tinggi.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi petani untuk memberikan pendidikan yang lebih baik untuk anaknya dan juga beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan dari anak petani untuk mewujudkan cita-citanya tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa motivasi petani ingin anaknya mengecap pendidikan hingga perguruan tinggi adalah agar anak mereka memperoleh kehidupan yang lebih baik. Sementara itu, faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan anak petani dalam menyelesaikan pendidikan mereka di perguruan tinggi adalah situasi kondusif yang mendukung mereka untuk belajar dengan lebih baik dan juga dukungan ekonomi yang baik dari keluarga selama menempuh pendidikan.

Abstract

This study focused on the Implementation of Character Education by History Teachers The purpose of the study was to describe describing the implementation of character education and describing the obstacles faced by history teachers in the implementation of character education. The type of research used is qualitative analysis. The results of the study show: 1) The implementation of character education assigns tasks to students, gives direction, to be honest in doing assignments, cooperates together to clean each other, 2) Teacher constraints in carrying out character education there are still students who do not attend congregational prayers and throw trash carelessly, students do not do assignments, cheat when testing, not confidence when told to read the results of the discussion in front of the class, still behave poorly to friends and still argue the results of the discussion by maintaining opinions own. It can be concluded that the implementation of character education by history teachers has been carried out but there are many obstacles in its implementation.

Abstract

Character education is a must for countries that want to make their citizens have good attitudes and behaviors. The goal to be achieved in Community Service activities is to make students aware of the need to have and implement attitudes that have character. In the school environment, the teacher's role is to educate the character of students. Thus, community service activities want to make students aware and want to instill and develop character attitudes through socialization. Socialization is given to provide direct literacy of character education to students. Socialization is filled with questions and answers so that students who are not familiar with matters relating to character can immediately ask the implementation team.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the implementation of the discussion that has not been optimal. The purpose of the study was to describe the implementation and constraints of the Two Stay Two Stray (Ts-Ts) Cooperative Learning Model in Integrated Social Studies Subjects Class VIII.B at SMP Negeri 34 Tebo Regency. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study: 1) The division of groups has been carried out but there are groups that have 3 members, ideally each group has 4 people. 2) The distribution of materials has been carried out. Intragroup discussions have been carried out. 3) The implementation of Two Stray, has not been fully implemented. The problem was that there was one meeting that did not carry out Stray activities. 4) Implementation of Two Stay. The problem is that there are two groups where only one member stays, ideally there are two members who stay (Stay). 5) Discussion of the results of the Two Stay Two Stray (TS-TS) activity was not carried out. The presentation activity has been carried out. Activities of the Two Stay Two Stray Type Cooperative Learning (TS-TS) model was not fully implemented and there are still obstacles in its implementation.
