Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue : The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced various aspects of human life, including education. ChatGPT, as a popular AI tool, is increasingly used by students in the learning process, yet its level of use and acceptance among students varies due to psychological factors and user perceptions. Purpose : To examine the influence of awareness and enjoyment on the acceptance of ChatGPT among first-year students using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. Research Methods : A quantitative approach using a survey of 145 first-year students. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) method. Results : Awareness and enjoyment significantly affect perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU). Perceived usefulness (PU) significantly influences behavioral intention to use (BITU), while perceived ease of use (PEOU) does not have a significant effect on behavioral intention to use (BITU). Research Contributions : The study expands the theoretical framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by integrating the effects of awareness and enjoyment in explaining technology adoption, particularly in the context of ChatGPT use in education. The findings also provide insights for curriculum design and educational policy to enhance the benefits of AI technology in learning processes

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how formative and summative assessments are managed in the context of Islamic education, particularly in Fiqh learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN). The research is motivated by the importance of assessment as a component of the Merdeka Curriculum and the need to understand its implementation and management strategies within religious education. The method used is quantitative with an ex post facto approach and multiple regression analysis technique. The sample consists of 100 eleventh-grade students at MAN 1 Bandung Regency. The results of the study indicate that both formative and summative assessments do not significantly influence students' learning outcomes in Fiqh, with a contribution of 0.1% (R² = 0.001). These findings highlight that while assessment practices are an important component, student learning success in Fiqh is more strongly influenced by institutional support and academic readiness. The study contributes to expanding understanding of how assessment practices can be effectively managed and integrated into values-based learning.

Abstract

The urgency of this research is that the development of Android-based digital textbooks for Electronic Records Management courses is urgently needed to support the OBE curriculum, improve 21st-century skills, and facilitate interactive and accessible learning. This research aimed to measure students' perceptions to develop an Android-based digital textbook for the Electronic Records Management course to support the implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) in higher education. Utilising the 4D development model, Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate, the study involved 60 students from the Office Administration Education program at a state university in East Java. Validation by experts in content, media, and language resulted in scores of 92.83%, 95.65%, and 86%, respectively, indicating a high feasibility level. Student responses were overwhelmingly positive, with mean scores exceeding 4.21 across categories such as format, relevance, engagement, satisfaction, and confidence. The findings confirm the digital textbook's effectiveness in enhancing 21st-century skills and meeting learning outcomes aligned with OBE standards. Recommendations include refining visual elements and adding interactive features to maintain engagement. This research contributes significantly to digital textbook development, emphasising accessibility and adaptability to meet the demands of modern education and professional readiness.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence has influenced learning practices, particularly through the use of ChatGPT as a learning support tool. This study aims to examine the factors influencing students’ intention to use ChatGPT in learning by integrating the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Uses and Gratifications Theory (UGT). The variables analyzed include Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Convenience, and Information Seeking toward Intention to Use. This study employed a quantitative explanatory approach with respondents consisting of 11th grade students majoring in Office Management. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Generalized Structured Component Analysis (SEM-GSCA). The results indicate that Perceived Ease of Use significantly influences Perceived Usefulness but does not directly affect Intention to Use. Furthermore, Perceived Usefulness and Information Seeking have a significant effect on Intention to Use, while Convenience shows no significant influence. These findings suggest that students’ intention to use ChatGPT is driven more by perceived benefits and information needs than by ease or convenience of use.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the design of a preventive guidance and counseling program in efforts to reduce students’ academic anxiety. Academic anxiety is one of the psychological problems frequently experienced by students and has the potential to hinder academic achievement, learning motivation, and emotional well-being. A preventive approach in guidance and counseling services is considered strategic because it focuses on preventing problems from emerging before they develop into more complex disorders. This research employed a qualitative method with a descriptive-analytical design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with guidance and counseling teachers, observations of service activities, and documentation studies of program planning. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and thematic conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that an effective preventive guidance and counseling program design to reduce academic anxiety includes components such as students’ needs assessment, formulation of measurable objectives, development of service materials based on coping skills and stress management, collaborative implementation strategies involving subject teachers and parents, and continuous evaluation. The approaches applied in the program include classroom guidance services, group counseling, and emotional regulation skills training. These findings emphasize that a systematic, contextual, and needs-based program design can serve as an effective preventive strategy in minimizing academic anxiety and supporting the optimal academic and personal development of students.

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between the implementation of religious programs and the religious and nationalistic character of students. The implementation of religious programs has the potential to produce a double impact, namely strengthening the moral integrity of individuals while fostering a nationalistic character in students. However, there has been no research that explicitly discusses how nationalistic character values such as loyalty, appreciation of national culture, or willingness to sacrifice are measured or evaluated as a direct impact of these religious programs. This study aims to fill the gap in the existing literature, which is mostly descriptive, qualitative, or observational, by analyzing the relationship between the implementation of religious programs in schools and the formation of students’ religious and nationalistic character. This study is important to empirically prove that strengthening spiritual values can be in line with the spirit of nationalism in the educational environment. The research method used is a quantitative correlation approach. Data collection was conducted through questionnaires to measure the intensity of student participation in religious programs and their level of religious character and nationalism, which were then analyzed using statistical tests in the form of correlation and simple linear regression tests. The results show a positive and significant relationship between the implementation of religious programs and the formation of students’ religious character and nationalism. These findings indicate that the more intensive the implementation of religious programs, the stronger the students’ religious commitment and love for their country, thus refuting the assumption of dualism between the two. Therefore, educational institutions are advised to optimize these programs as a key strategy in producing a generation of students with comprehensive and balanced character.
