Abstract

This study explores students' perceptions of using Jenni AI to improve their ability to write scientific arguments in English classes. Involving 67 students as respondents, this study used a quantitative survey method through Google Forms to collect data related to students' experiences and views on the advantages and disadvantages of Jenni AI. The results showed that most students felt significant benefits from Jenni AI, especially in helping to develop stronger arguments, improve writing structure, and overcome writing obstacles such as writer's block. On the other hand, there were concerns about potential negative impacts, such as over-reliance on technology that could inhibit critical thinking and creativity and the risk of unintentional plagiarism. The findings reflect that while AI can enhance the writing process, its use needs to be balanced with an awareness of the risks involved. The implications of this study emphasize a balanced approach to AI in education, as well as the need for learning strategies that optimally integrate technology without compromising students' independence of thought.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a large population. Based on the results of the 2020 census, Indonesia's population ranks fourth in the world. The Indonesian government has made a policy to reduce population growth, namely the Family Planning Program or Keluarga Berencana (KB). One of the areas that did not escape the target was the DIY. Based on BKKBN DIY data, there is a significant difference between the number of active KB participants and the number of couples of childbearing ages, the number of KB equipment and the number of KB health facilities that exist between sub-districts in Sleman Regency. Then the sub-district classification is carried out based on the 2020 KB data in Sleman Regency using the K-Medoids Clustering method. This study aims to see the sub-district grouping used as a reference by the government in increasing active KB participants in the community to overcome the population in Yogyakarta, primarily focusing on Sleman. The categories in each cluster, namely Cluster 1, which consists of 6 sub-districts, have a high level of KB active participants, couples of reproductive ages, KB equipment, and KB health facilities. Then Cluster 2, which consists of 6 sub-districts, has a medium level of KB active participants, couples of reproductive ages, KB equipment, and KB health facilities. While Cluster 3 consists of 5 sub-districts, where KB active participants, teams of reproductive age, KB equipment, and KB health facilities are low level.

Abstract

Abstract

Phenomenon/Issue : The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) has influenced various aspects of human life, including education. ChatGPT, as a popular AI tool, is increasingly used by students in the learning process, yet its level of use and acceptance among students varies due to psychological factors and user perceptions. Purpose : To examine the influence of awareness and enjoyment on the acceptance of ChatGPT among first-year students using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework. Research Methods : A quantitative approach using a survey of 145 first-year students. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the Generalized Structured Component Analysis (GSCA) method. Results : Awareness and enjoyment significantly affect perceived usefulness (PU) and perceived ease of use (PEOU). Perceived usefulness (PU) significantly influences behavioral intention to use (BITU), while perceived ease of use (PEOU) does not have a significant effect on behavioral intention to use (BITU). Research Contributions : The study expands the theoretical framework of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) by integrating the effects of awareness and enjoyment in explaining technology adoption, particularly in the context of ChatGPT use in education. The findings also provide insights for curriculum design and educational policy to enhance the benefits of AI technology in learning processes

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how formative and summative assessments are managed in the context of Islamic education, particularly in Fiqh learning at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN). The research is motivated by the importance of assessment as a component of the Merdeka Curriculum and the need to understand its implementation and management strategies within religious education. The method used is quantitative with an ex post facto approach and multiple regression analysis technique. The sample consists of 100 eleventh-grade students at MAN 1 Bandung Regency. The results of the study indicate that both formative and summative assessments do not significantly influence students' learning outcomes in Fiqh, with a contribution of 0.1% (R² = 0.001). These findings highlight that while assessment practices are an important component, student learning success in Fiqh is more strongly influenced by institutional support and academic readiness. The study contributes to expanding understanding of how assessment practices can be effectively managed and integrated into values-based learning.
