Abstract

Bullying is an act of physical or verbal violence that is carried out intentionally and repeatedly, with the aim of causing psychological suffering to the victim. Bullying is a serious problem, which is currently widespread at both local and international levels and can occur directly or online. The current case of bullying that is of particular concern is in the school environment. An example of a case that occurred was an 11-year-old student at an elementary school in Banyuwangi, who was found dead by hanging himself as a result of being frequently bullied at his school. This is the background to the importance of early education for elementary school students. Based on this, the 2023/2024 batch L of Pattimura Unvesitas KKN students carried out an educational program through counseling methods about education and the impact of bullying on children's health, mental and emotional health. This program was implemented for 30 students of SD Negeri 1 Rumah Tiga. The delivery of the counseling material was carried out in 3 sessions, namely a material presentation session, a question and answer session, and a group photo session. The results of the activity can be concluded that at first the students did not understand what bullying was, but after presenting material about what bullying is and how it impacts children's mental and emotional health, the students were very enthusiastic and immediately understood the material presented.

Abstract

The socialization of peaceful elections in Allang Asaude Village, West Seram Regency – Maluku Province, aims to create a common understanding among the community to become smart and responsible voters, as well as the importance of maintaining security and peace during the election process. This program is implemented to support peaceful elections, prevent potential conflicts and the spread of provocative information or hoaxes that can disrupt village social stability. It also provides education to novice voters regarding voting rights to choose leaders who serve the community, as well as avoid money politics. The socialization stage is divided into 3 parts, namely the preparation stage (coordination with village officials and the preparation of socialization materials), the implementation stage (material presentation), and the last stage (evaluation and documentation). The results of the activity showed an increase in public awareness of the importance of peaceful elections, a willingness to avoid provocative actions, and a joint commitment to maintaining a harmonious atmosphere during the elections. Through this socialization, it is hoped that Allang Asaude Village will be able to become an example of a village that prioritizes the principles of peaceful and democratic elections, as well as supporting the 2024 regional head elections later.

Abstract

In today's digital era, social media has become an integral part of people's daily lives, including the people of Allang Asaude. With easy access to information and communication, social media provides a platform for individuals to express opinions, share information, and interact with others. The socialization of UU ITE (Electronic Information and Transaction Law) is an important step in improving the understanding of the Allang Asaude community regarding the rights and obligations in doing activities in cyberspace, especially in limiting expression. This socialization education aims to educate the community about restrictions on expression under the ITE Law, especially related to freedom of expression, as well as the potential for abuse that can occur in the use of electronic media. The methods used in this socialization include counseling, interactive discussions, and distribution of educational materials tailored to the needs of the audience. The results of the socialization activities showed that community participation was quite active, with increased understanding of the ITE Law and awareness of the importance of communication ethics in the digital space. This activity is expected to build a more aware and responsible society in utilizing information technology, as well as being able to protect themselves from legal risks related to ITE Law.

Abstract

Sago waste is a significant environmental problem in sago-producing areas, including Seruawan Village. This waste is often burned or simply dumped, which has the potential to cause environmental pollution and reduce soil quality. Therefore, the utilization of sago waste into biochar can be a sustainable and environmentally friendly solution. Biochar is a carbon product resulting from the pyrolysis process of organic matter, which can improve soil fertility and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. By utilizing sago waste into biochar, the community in Seruawan Village can not only reduce waste, but also increase their agricultural productivity. The methodology used is through observation, interviews, technology utilization, and participatory action research. Through a systematic and participatory methodology, this service is expected to make a significant contribution to the management of sago waste into biochar, and improve the welfare of the community in Seruawan Village.

Abstract

The effectiveness of fish traps (bubu) largely depends on the gear’s ability to attract fish, especially in environments with high competition and dynamic water conditions (Hehanussa et al., 2020). One innovative method that has been increasingly developed over the past few decades to enhance the attractiveness of fishing gear is the use of light attractors. Artificial light, particularly from Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamps, has been proven to improve catch rates across various fishing gears, including nets, longlines, and traps. LEDs are favored due to their high energy efficiency, long lifespan, and availability in a wide range of light spectra. This study aims to evaluate the effect of using blue Light Emitting Diode (LED) lamps on the catch performance of fish traps in the waters of Tepa Village, Southwest Maluku Regency. The research was conducted from August to October 2024 using two fish traps: one equipped with a blue LED lamp and one without a lamp as a control. Results showed that the trap equipped with the blue LED accounted for 69.83% of the total fish caught, significantly higher than the control trap (30.17%). Statistical tests revealed a significant difference in the number of fish caught (p = 0.01) but not in species composition (p = 0.38). The dominant species caught belonged to the families Scaridae, Acanthuridae, and Naso. These findings indicate that blue LED technology is effective in enhancing the efficiency of fishing gear in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner.
