Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in achieving a company's success because of its strong relationship to employee productivity. Work time discipline at Bali Bird Park is an indication of low employee performance. Coordination that is not yet optimal between leaders and employees, lack of direction and attention from leaders to the division of work and low cooperation between employees creates a bad image. This study aims to determine the effect of leadership and coordination on employee performance. Research data were obtained through a survey of all 86 employees. Data analysis was carried out using SPSS with Multiple Linear Regression Test, Classical Assumption Test and Determination Coefficient Test. It was found that the leadership variable positively and significantly influenced 6.0836% of employee performance. The coordination variable positively and significantly influenced 21.864% of employee performance. Simultaneously, the leadership and coordination variables positively and significantly influenced employee performance by 27.8%.

Abstract

Cooking experience, which is full of interactive and inclusive cultural activities between locals (host) and tourists (guest), is one of the gastronomic tourism activities in Ubud. Four key informants, namely cooking experience owners in the Ubud area and beyond, were involved in this research through interviews and observations. Desk research was also carried out to display comprehensive data. Through a qualitative descriptive approach, this article concludes that the existence of cooking experiences with various unique features ranging from the concept of cooking at home to "farm to table" shows a form of community involvement as innovators and contributors in cultural preservation. In other words, the community helps provide authentic experiences and build bonds with tourists through educational activities and cultural exchanges, as well as strengthening Ubud as a world-class gastronomic destination.

Abstract

Limiting the number of visitors is one of the best efforts that tourism entrepreneurs can make to continue operating safely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, a method for determining the maximum number of visitors accepted during an outbreak is unavailable. This article explains the method to determine the maximum number of visitors using a seafood café in Kedonganan Beach Bali as a case study. The proposed determination method uses a tourism carrying capacity formula that is modified by incorporating physical distancing and correction factors relevant to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, such as temporary closure of destination, attraction, and tourism business, into the equation. This article demonstrates how modifications made to the original carrying capacity formula can produce a formula for determining the maximum number of visitors that can be received during the pandemic while placing the visitors’ and workers' safety as a top priority. This article shows how the modified formula can calculate the maximum number of visitors the tourism operator can accept during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This article contributes an idea in developing a method for determining the maximum number of visitors in the future if the tourism industry faces a similar situation where tourist movement and interaction, as the essence of tourism, can threaten their safety.

Abstract

Cau Belayu Tourism Village is one of the tourist villages located between the border of Tabanan regency and Badung regency, after the establishment of the Regent Decree, Cau Belayu Tourism Village still has not shown significant development. Cau Belayu Tourism Village in Tabanan Regency is experiencing obstacles in its development. Cau BelayuTourism Village faces difficulties in managing human resources who serve as managers, in addition, the management of tourist destinations is also one of the obstacles faced Another obstacle is the problem of marketing. Cau Belayu Tourism Village may be less effective in promoting its attractions to potential tourists. In addition, the lack of variety of tourism products is also an obstacle. Cau Belayu Tourism Village needs to develop more varied and attractive tourism products. Therefore, in this study, researchers want to know more deeply the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the Cau BelayuTourism Village to analyze its development strategy. The approach is descriptive qualitative, and the sources are identified using the pentahelix method based on the following criteria: the sources must be at least 17 years old, have a thorough understanding of the tourist village of Cau Belayu, and be able to communicate effectively through observation, interviewing, and documentation of the research instruments (SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS). The SO Strategy (Strength-Opportunities) score IFAS 0.14 and EFAS 0.42 obtained from the study's results indicate that an aggressive strategy will be used to develop the Cau Belayu tourist village as a suitable competitive tourist village. This strategy will include partnerships for integrated tourism packages, collaboration with government programs, technology innovation for attractions, strengthening branding through cooperation, and global trend-based promotion.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the level of satisfaction of Indonesian tourists, the tourism product attributes that need improvement, and the loyalty of Indonesian tourists towards the tourism products at GWK Cultural Park. This research employs a quantitative method with 100 samples collected through accidental sampling. Primary data collection is conducted through questionnaires, field observations, and documentation. The analysis methods used in this research are the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA). The research findings indicate that the satisfaction index of Indonesian tourists stands at 84%, indicating that Indonesian tourists are delighted with the tourism products at GWK Cultural Park. Based on the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA) results, the top priorities that the management should implement to enhance the satisfaction of Indonesian tourists are providing tourist attractions that match the price paid, having staff who quickly process entrance tickets, and ensuring that the tourist area is free from unpleasant odors. The level of loyalty among Indonesian tourists in the attitudinal loyalty category is 18%, the behavioral loyalty category is 45%, and the composite loyalty category is 37%. This research demonstrates that tourist attractions that align with the price paid, responsive staff, and an odor-free environment are crucial in enhancing the satisfaction of Indonesian tourists, who have an 82% chance of becoming repeat guests at GWK Cultural Park. Abstract

Desa wisata Sidan merupakan sebuah desa wisata rintisan yang memiliki potensi wisata berupa kekayaan sumber daya alam utamanya berupa persawahan. Hal ini menjadikan pengelola memilih untuk mengembangankan produk wisata berbasis ekowisata, dimana sumber daya alam yang dimiliki dikelola dengan mengedepanan konservasi dan edukasi. Namun dalam pengembangannya, belum terdapat tata kelola yang baik sehingga hal tersebut menjadi salah satu kendala bagi pengembangan Desa Wisata Sidan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan dalam bentuk pendampingan tata kelola desa wisata, dengan peserta seluruh pemangku kepentingan di Desa Wisata Sidan. Output dari kegiatan ini adalah meningkatnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang sistem tata kelola desa wisata, terbentuknya sistem tata kelola pariwisata secara profesional di wilayah Desa Sidan yang mengakomodir aspirasi masyarakat lokal sehingga Desa Wisata Sidan dapat berkembang. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan akan memberikan manfaat berupa meningkatnya SDM dari Desa Wisata Sidan yang terampil dan mandiri dalam mengelola potensi wisata di daerahnya secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini juga diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia di Desa Wisata Sidan, menjadikan mereka lebih terampil dan mandiri dalam mengelola potensi wisata yang dimiliki.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the push motivation and pull motivation factors of domestic tourists visiting Sayan Tourism Village, Gianyar Regency. The population of this study were domestic tourists who had visited Sayan Tourism Village, Gianyar Regency. Using the Yamane formula, a total of 100 respondents were obtained with the Purposive Sampling technique, followed by sampling using Accidental Sampling. Data collection was carried out using survey methods (questionnaires), observation and literature studies. The collected data were analyzed using Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) with the SPSS 25 application program. The results showed that 5 new push factors were formed from 24 indicators. The push factors are: cultural exploration and vacation factors; breaking away from routine; relaxation; pride; and nostalgia. The pull factors derived from 21 indicators formed 5 new factors, namely: first, cultural attraction factor; second, natural attraction factor; third, tourism facility factor; fourth, accessibility pull factor; and finally, destination image factor. The dominant factors of the push factors are cultural exploration and vacationing, while the dominant factor of the pull factors is cultural attraction.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui makanan lokal sebagai produk desa wisata Penarungan dilihat dari komponen gastronomi dan mengetahui pengembangan potensi wisata gastronomi sebagai daya tarik desa wisata Penarungan. Data yang digunakan adalah data kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Sebanyak 10 informan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis reduksi data, triangulasi, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan pengembangannya melalui analisis SWOT dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Guling samsam merekak, warung Men Cesver, warung Men Hendra, dan warung Pan Kobleng sudah memenuhi sembilan komponen dalam gastronomi. Namun, pengetahuan literatur akan makanan dan kandungan gizi yang terdapat dalam makanan perlu ditingkatkan lagi. Selanjutnya untuk strategi pengembangan yang tepat dalam pengembangan potensi wisata gastronomi sebagai daya tarik desa wisata Penarungan adalah strategi agresif dengan mengutamakan Strategi S – O yang terdapat dalam hasil matriks SWOT.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze internal and external existing conditions and formulate strategic factors in the development of Petang Village as a community-based tourism village in Badung Regency. This study adopts a qualitative approach by using interview guidance as the primary data collection instrument. The research sample consisted of 6 informants/resource persons where the Chairman of the Petang Village Porkdarwis was the key speaker, the Head of Petang Village was the main resource person and the supporting resources person representing various stakeholders, including the local community, the media, the government, and the tourism industry. Data analysis was carried out using the META SWOT with VRIO to identify internal factors and PESTEL to identify external factors faced in the development of Petang Tourism Village. The results of the analysis show that the Strength-Opportunity (SO) strategy is the most appropriate approach to optimize the potential of Petang Village. This strategy focuses on utilizing the internal strength of the village to capitalize on the external opportunities available. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the SO strategy can effectively encourage the transformation of Petang Village into a more advanced and sustainable tourist destination.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze sentiments in the Instagram post @kemenparekraf.ri regarding the film "The Last of Us 2" and its impact on increasing engagement in promotional content through an infrequently employed approach. The research intends to investigate the effect of using dramatic content in promoting the film "The Last of Us 2" on the Instagram account @kemenparekraf.ri in enhancing audience engagement using a netnography approach. A qualitative research method was employed by collecting data through online observation of content posted on January 24, 2023. Findings indicate that the use of dramatic content significantly increased audience engagement, with an engagement rate reaching 17.7%, although the majority of sentiments expressed were negative. The practical implications of this research are to provide recommendations for government social media managers to exercise greater caution in determining promotional content, while theoretically contributing to the understanding of the netnography approach in the context of tourism promotion.
