Abstract

Strengthening the 2013 curriculum learning process is carried out through an approach known as a scientific approach that starts with observing, asking, trying, associating and communicating. Through learning activities using a scientific method, one of which is with the help of the Phet simulation, which is expected that students will be able to achieve graduate competency standards. In Team-Based Learning (TBL) learning, the activities carried out by students are mostly used for group activities, such as completing worksheets or tests given by the teacher. One of the assignments or tests is an experiment using a Phet simulation. The results of the activities carried out by the teacher can be used to create more structured groups. The device development model in this study uses the 4-D (four-D) model, which consists of (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Development, and (4) Disseminate. Based on the results of the research and development of Team-Based Learning devices that have been carried out at SMP Negeri 2 Pulubala, several conclusions can be drawn: Through this research, science learning devices were produced that were valid, practical, and effective. The developed learning device is assessed by a construct validity test with a valid category with minor revisions/slight revisions to fulfil the eligibility validity as a learning device. Likewise, in terms of practicality, team-based learning-problem solving learning devices have met the level of suitability in terms of the implementation of learning and teacher and student response questionnaires. There was a significant change in the average score of students from pretest to posttest in individual and group tests after implementing Team-Based Learning devices. Using Phet simulations as learning media can facilitate the learning process in science learning

Abstract

Website-assisted learning in science learning can make it easier for students to increase their understanding of knowledge concepts and construct their knowledge based on problems encountered in everyday life to improve learning outcomes. One application that is quite well-known and can be used as a website-assisted learning site is the Google Sites site. Google Sites is a structured application that can easily create websites. Google Sites is an online application launched by Google for creating classes, schools, or other websites. This study aims to determine the quality (validity, practicality, and effectiveness) of the Google Sites Assisted Learning Device on Vibration, Waves, and Sound material. This type of development research refers to the 4-D Model development research consisting of four stages of development, namely Define, Design, Development, and Dissemination. After being validated by two validators, a limited trial was carried out by 58 students consisting of 29 class VIII-A students and 29 class VIII-B at SMP Negeri 1 Kwandang, then the most comprehensive test was carried out by 30 class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Kwandang. Data collection techniques in this study used expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and student learning outcomes tests. The results of this study indicate that the validation of Google Sites assisted learning devices is included in the “Valid” category. The practicality of Google Sites helped learning devices is seen from the results of the implementation of learning in class and the student's responses from both trials showing the “Good” category. The Google Sites assisted learning device developed meets the valid, practical, and effective criteria to be suitable for use in science learning in schools.

Abstract

Student learning independence is currently low, this is indicated by the lack of a variety of learning media used by teachers. The problem to be raised is that students are not independent in exploring their knowledge, including in science subjects (results from interviews with teachers at SDN 80 Kota Tengah). To overcome these problems, the purpose of this study is to develop an android-based gravity e-comic to increase student learning independence. The method used in this research is the R D (research development) method, the development model used to produce android-based gravity e-comics is four d, with steps namely define, design, development, disseminate. The data collection procedure is to describe the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the e-comics that are made. Data analysis uses analysis of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The results showed that the gravity e-comic developed was valid, received positive responses from students and was very good for training the learning independence of elementary school students, so it was feasible to use in the science learning process in elementary school. The conclusion of this study is that android-based gravity e-comics are valid, practical to use in the learning process, and effective in increasing student learning independence at the elementary school level
