Abstract

Abstract

Kandungan protein keong emas hampir mencapai 56,77%, sementara ikan memiliki 60 hingga 70% protein.

Abstract

Lokop is one of the villages in East Aceh which has a watershed in the Leuser Ecosystem. Human activities have the potential to disrupt the Trophic Status of Lokop River, such as the use of pesticides for agriculture, household waste and the use of potassium for fishing. It is necessary to research the quality of the waters in the Lokop River. The plankton community present in river waters can be an indicator of environmental pollution by analyzing the saprobic index. This study aims to determine the index of plankton diversity and water quality in the Leuser Ecosystem of the Lokop River through the saprobic index. The research was conducted at three stations. A sampling of plankton was taken in the form of a 10 cc filtrate and five replications were carried out for each study site. Water quality measurements include pH, TDS, Temperature, transparancy, depth, and current. 11 potential species can be used as pollution indicators in the Lokop River, namely Cladophora sp, Diatoma elongatum, Fragilaria capucina, Oedogonium sp., Gonatozygon sp, Lyngbya agardh, Melosira sp., Merismopedia punctata, Microspora sp, Pinnularia sp, Synedra ulna. The plankton diversity index is in the medium category. Based on the Saprobic Index, the level of pollution at the research site was not to lightly loaded of organic pollution and lowly loaded of organic pollution. Keywords:IsoprobikPlanktonBioindicatorLokop

Abstract

The large demand for catfish consumption is the main goal of catfish cultivation in Paya Bujok Seuleumak Village to improve the economy of the village community. The location is also very supportive for fish cultivation because the location distance is not too far from the city and the people are creative in entrepreneurship. The problems that are often faced by cultivator is pond waterflow when entering the rainy season due to an increase in water discharge. This situation caused many fish come out of the pond. Besides, fish feed residue and fish waste can also interfere with pond water quality that trigger many fish die which can cause harvest failure. The solution offered is implementing a gravity system pool tarpaulin drain which can maintain pool water discharge and pool water quality, so that it can keep fish in the pond and stay healthy if there is an increase in pool water discharge. The output target to be achieved are article publication in the National Journal, publication in online and print mass media, products of a gravity system pool tarpaulin drain device and HaKI. There are also additional outputs in the form of increasing fish yields and improving the economy of the communities. The service activity plan consists of coordinating with cultivator, socialization, training on the application of the tarpaulin drain gravity pool system, as well as mentoring and monitoring of the activities carried out.

Abstract

Odonata is important as environmental bioindicator as well as pest control. Langsa Urban Forest (LUF) is a 10-ha green open space in Langsa City, Aceh Province which serves the purpose of tourism and support biodiversity conservation, in which Odonata (dragonflies and damselflies) is included. Thereis a lack of Odonata research in Langsa, especially at the LUF area, therefore this study offers a baseline information for wildlife management. Field observations had been conducted between February to March 2022 using line-transect method. As a result, this study recorded 19 Odonata species from four families, of which Orthetrum sabina (Libellulidae) became the most prominent species observed. Odonata diversity in LUF was medium (H’ = 1.863-2.252) with population of each species presumed to be nearly even (J = 0.71-0.79). Odonata diversity in LUF serves as additional information on Odonata species found in Indonesia, especially Aceh Province. Also, the medium category of Odonata diversity index in LUF can be used as a reference for LUF management to support more ecosystems as Odonata habitat.

Abstract

Potential for the development of the mangrove crab business in the coastal area of the city of Langsa, which has a fairly large mangrove forest area and produces abundant mangrove crab resources. However, some of the results of the study stated that the exploitation and the absence of restrictions on the size of the capture of mangrove crabs resulted in a decrease in the number of catchments by fishermen because the condition of crab stock in nature has decreased. The purpose of dedication is to provide education and training to fishermen about selling mangrove crabs, which is more prioritized than fattening results from direct catches from nature, and to increase the production of mud crabs by utilizing local materials. The next goal is the management of crab capture. Implementation of dedication is carried out through socialization and training for coastal communities and fishermen in Sungai Pauh Tanjung Village, Langsa City. The results of the implementation of community service activities contribute to increasing skills and added value, as well as increasing the production of mangrove crabs through the use of Samudra being cages and the use of local materials as potential feed for fattening mangrove crabs before being sold at the market.
