Abstract

The research aims to develop student books based on the potential of coastal areas to improve students' pro-environmental character. Research and development from Sugiyono was used to develop student book. as many as 10 students participated in the product trial. Two experts and one practitioner validated using a validation sheet. Measurement of pro-environmental character using pro-environmental character test. Analysis of pro-environmental characters using n-gain. The results showed that the student's book met the valid criteria (88.77%), increased the pro-environmental character of students at the medium - high level (0.33 - 0.74), and received a very good response (88% - 100%) from the students. This research concludes that the student's book based on coastal natural resources meets the valid criteria, improves the character of the environmental profile and gets a very good response. Further research to test the effectiveness needs to be done through use trials.

Abstract

This study's purpose of find the inquiry-based learning effect on the metacognitive skills of high school students. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design. The sample size is 65 science students at a high school in Manokwari. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney test. The results showed Sig 0.00 <0.05, which means differences in metacognitive skills in the experimental and control groups. It can be concluded that there is an effect of inquiry-based learning on students' metacognitive skills.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a supplement book for ethnobiology courses based on research on traditional medicinal plants in Wonawa District, Kepulauan Yapen Serui Regency. The type of research is research and development. The ADD (analysis, design, and development) stage of the ADDIE model is applied to the development of supplement books. Interviews are used for data collection and identification of medicinal plants. Experts validate books made while students fill out response questionnaires. The validity criteria for supplement books with a value of 88.63% based on the findings of the research are Very Valid. In the Excellent category are responses to supplement books from students with an average rate of 87.5%. The developed supplement book can be used for student learning because it fulfills the valid criteria and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.
