Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the best formulation of seaweed pulp and strawberry pulp mixture in making jam slice based on the level of consumer preference for jam slice through hedonic tests, chemical quality characteristics, microbiological quality, and physical quality of jam slice. The production of jam slice from seaweed with the addition of strawberry fruit was carried out with several formulations of seaweed and strawberry fruit ratio, namely F1 (50:50), F2 (52.5:47.5), and F3 (55:45). The data were analyzed using One-way ANOVA, Kruskal Wallis non-parametric and descriptive tests. The results showed that there were no significant differences at the 5% significance level (p<0.05) on the parameters of appearance, aroma, taste, and texture. The best formulation with the highest mean value in making sheet jam is F2 with a composition of 52.5% seaweed; 47.5% strawberry fruit produces the highest level of panelist preference with an average value of appearance parameters of 7.28 (like), taste 7.16 (like), aroma 6.86 (like) and texture 7.12 (like).The chemical quality characteristics of formulation 2 have a moisture content of 40.23% which is higher than SNI-3746-2008, the fiber content is 7.413% and its antioxidant activity has an IC50 value of 0.67%. Furthermore, microbiological quality with a Total Plate Number (ALT) value of 3.04 x 10⁵ which is higher than SNI-3746-2008 and physical quality of texture (hardness) of 397.340974 gf.

Abstract

In the cantang grouper hatchery activities, it can be seen from the low SR results which were calculated during the implementation of research 1 and the number of larvae or fish fry that died in UD. Garuda Laut. In this 2nd study, we tried to see what was the cause of this. From the SR, the results were like that. From a general point of view, the hatchery business was very small and not feasible to continue, but in the cantang grouper hatchery business at UD. Garuda Laut. SR 10% is already profitable, even though this hatchery activity has aquaculture prospects that have the opportunity to increase fisheries production in the future, one of which is with new innovations, it is necessary to increase seed production and quality through hybridization so that it can help the need for seeds in aquaculture. this research are: 1). Know and be able to study the technical aspects of cantang grouper hatchery, 2). Financial analysis of cantang grouper hatchery business.Based on the results and discussion regarding the analysis of the cantang grouper hatchery business at UD. Garuda Laut concluded several things as follows: 1. Cantang grouper hatchery activities at UD.Garuda Laut are considered to be quite good and meet the company's targets which can be seen from aspects of hatchery performance such as Hatching Rate (HR) with an average of 80%, Survival Rate of 10%, and Average Length Growth The average number of larvae at harvest is 3.5-4 cm. Judging from performance, hatchery performance at UD Garuda Laut is categorized as having met the company's target, but the survival rate is not yet optimal, so efforts are needed to improve production quality. 2. Technical aspects of seeding start from stocking, raising larvae or seeds, feed management, water quality and harvesting ABSTRAKPada kegiatan pembenihan kerapu cantang yang dilihat dari hasil SR yang rendah yang telah dihitung pada saat pelaksanaan penelitian 1 dan banyaknya larva atau benih ikan yang mati di UD. Garuda laut.di penelitian 2 ini mencoba untuk melihat apa saja yang jadi penyebab terjadinya hal tersebut,dari SR yang hasilnya seperti itu dari sisi umum mengenai usaha pembenihan itu sangat kecil dan tidak layak untuk dilanjutkan namun di usaha pembenihan kerapu cantang di UD.Garuda Laut SR 10% itu sudah untung, Padahal kegiatan pembenihan ini memiliki prospek budidaya yang berpeluang untuk meningkatkan produksi perikanan di masa mendatang saah satunya dengan adanya inovasi baru maka diperlukan adanya peningkatan produksi dan kualitas benih melalui hibridisasi sehingga dapat membantu kebutuhan benih pada perikanan budidaya.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: 1). Mengetahui dan mampu mengkaji aspek teknis pembenihan kerapu cantang, 2). Analisis finansial usaha pembenihan ikan kerapu cantang. Berdasarkan hasil dan pembahasan mengenai analisis usaha pembenihan kerapu cantang di UD. Garuda Laut disimpulkan beberapa hal sebagai berikut: 1). Kegiatan pembenihan kerapu cantang di UD.Garuda Laut dinilai sudah cukup baik dan memenuhi target dari perusahaan yang dapat dilihat dari aspek performansi kinerja pembenihan seperti Hatching Rate (HR) dengan rata rata 80%, Survival Rate 10%,Serta Pertumbuhan Panjang Rata-Rata Larva Saat Panen 3,5-4 cm.Dilihat Dari Perfomansi Kinerja pembenihan Di UD.Garuda Laut Dikategorikan sudah memenuhi target perusahaan namun tingkat kelangsungan hidup belum optimal sehingga diperlukan upaya peningkatan kualitas produksi, 2). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the feasibility of developing a carp rearing business for the Mina Makmur Farmer Group in terms of financial and non-financial aspects. Knowing the changes that will affect the feasibility of the carp rearing business of Mina Makmur Farmer Group. The results of the study show that first from the technical aspect, this business has a location close to water sources, easy access to production facilities and a relatively small mortality rate of fish. Second, from the aspect of the market, fish production increases from year to year. Third, from the socio-economic and cultural aspects of this business, it has a positive impact on the community. Fourth, from the organizational, management and legal aspects of this business, they have collaborated and consulted with the kelurahan and local government offices. Fifth, from the environmental aspect, the existence of this business does not have a negative impact on the environment. The analysis of the financial feasibility of the carp business without development is declared feasible with an NPV value of Rp. 40,458,531 which is greater than zero, a Net B/C value of 1.63 greater than one, an IRR value of 18 percent greater than the discount rate. determined, and the payback period for the investment is in accordance with the project life of 10 years, which is eight years. While the analysis of the financial feasibility of the carp business with development is declared feasible with an NPV value of Rp 451,876,066 or greater than zero, a Net B/C value of 34.7 greater than one, an IRR value of 28 percent greater than the specified discount rate. , and the payback period for the investment is in accordance with the project life of 10 years, which is one year. The results of the switching value analysis show that the carp rearing business without development is still feasible and profitable if there is an increase in the price of feed pellets up to 2.35 percent where the simulation of a production decline is 8 percent. Meanwhile, the results of the switching value analysis of carp enlargement business with development are still feasible if there is an increase in the price of feed pellets up to 22.21 percent where the simulation of a decrease in production is 9.05 percent. ABSTRAKTujuan Penelitian ini adalah Menganalisis kelayakan pengembangan usaha pembesaran ikan gurame Kelompok Tani Mina Makmur ditinjau dari aspek finansial dan non finansial. Mengetahui perubahan-perubahan yang akan mempengaruhi kelayakan usaha pembesaran ikan gurame Kelompok Tani Mina Makmur. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pertama dari aspek teknis usaha ini memiliki lokasi yang dekat dengan sumber air, akses yang mudah terhadap sarana produksi dan tingkat mortalitas ikan relatif kecil. Kedua dari aspek pasar produksi ikan meningkat dari tahun ketahun. Ketiga dari aspek sosial ekonomi dan budaya usaha ini memberikan dampak positif bagi masyarakat. Keempat dari aspek organisasi, manajemen dan hukum usaha ini telah melakukan kerjasama dan musyawarah dengan kelurahan maupun kantor pemerintah setempat. Kelima dari aspek lingkungan, keberadaan usaha ini tidak membawa dampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Analisis kelayakan finansial usaha ikan gurame tanpa pengembangan dinyatakan layak dengan nilai NPV sebesar Rp 40.458.531 yang dihasilkan lebih besar dari nol, nilai Net B/C sebesar 1,63 lebih besar dari satu, nilai IRR sebesar 18 persen lebih besar dari tingkat discount rate yang ditentukan, dan waktu pengembalian modal investasi sudah sesuai dengan umur proyek 10 tahun yaitu delapan tahun. Sedangkan analisis kelayakan finansial usaha ikan gurame dengan pengembangan dinyatakan layak dengan nilai NPV sebesar Rp 451.876.066 atau lebih besar dari nol, nilai Net B/C sebesar 34.7 lebih besar dari satu, nilai IRR sebesar 28 persen lebih besar dari tingkat discount rate yang ditentukan, dan waktu pengembalian modal investasi sudah sesuai dengan umur proyek 10 tahun yaitu satu tahun . Hasil analisis switching value menunjukkan bahwa usaha pembesaran ikan gurame tanpa pengembangan masih tetap layak dijalankan dan mendapatkan keuntungan apabila terjadi peningkatan harga pakan pelet hingga 2,35 persen dimana simulasi penurunan produksi sebesar 8 persen. Sementara untuk hasil analisis switching value usaha pembesaran ikan gurame dengan pengembangan masih tetap layak dijalankan apabila terjadi peningkatan harga pakan pelet hingga 22,21 persen dimana simulasi penurunan produksi yaitu sebesar 9,05 persen.

Abstract

In 2021, the Fishery Product Processing Engineering Study Program of the Karawang Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic has carried out community service activities by applying the innovation of making seaweed soap products. The implementation of community service activities was carried out in Tambaksari Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency, Karawang Regency. Tambaksari village has great potential in the field of marine and fisheries, one of which is the availability of a wide area of seaweed ponds. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the community's ability to process seaweed so that it can produce products with added value. Community Service Activities in 2021 by Lecturers of the Fishery Product Processing Engineering Study Program (TPPP) were carried out in the people of Tambaksari Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency on October 14, 2021. The implementation method was carried out through a lecture and practice-based approach, where this activity was carried out using demonstrations as media learning and practical activities accompanied by assistance, planning and monitoring and evaluation of all community service activities. There were 25 participants in this activity as a fulfillment of health protocols to prevent the transmission of COVID19. Each participant was given tools and materials to practice the manufacturing method demonstrated by the teaching team. Evaluation is carried out orally after the material is given to determine the extent to which participants can absorb the information provided.

Abstract

In 2019, the Fishery Product Processing Engineering Study Program of the Karawang Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic has carried out community service activities by applying innovations in processing dodol products made from seaweed, namely carrageenan flour, agar flour and gelatin. The implementation of community service activities was carried out in Pisangsambo Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency. Pisangsambo Village is one of the centers for producing seaweed (Gracilaria sp.) in Karawang Regency. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the community's ability to process seaweed so that it can produce products with added value. The First Phase of Community Service Activities in 2020 was carried out in the community of Pisangsambo Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency on October 1, 2020. The implementation method was carried out through a group-based approach, where all community service activities were carried out using groups as learning media and mentoring, planning, and monitoring and evaluation of all community service activities. The participants in this activity were 25 people, divided into 3 small groups to facilitate mentoring from the lecturer. Each group is given tools and materials to practice the manufacturing method demonstrated by the teacher. Evaluation is carried out orally after the material is given to determine the extent to which participants can absorb the information provided.

Abstract

In 2021, the Fishery Product Processing Engineering Study Program of the Karawang Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic has carried out community service activities by applying innovations in processing burr milkfish products. The implementation of community service activities was carried out in Hurip Jaya Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency. Hurip Jaya Village is one of the marine tourism villages in Bekasi Regency and has a Fish Auction Place (TPI Hurip Jaya) and a large pond area. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the community's ability to process milkfish so that it can produce products with added value. Abstract

Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, was designated as a Fish Cultivation Village in 2022. Then to increase awareness of coastal communities, especially fish cultivators, on the importance of the community's role for the welfare of family members from fish farming businesses. This activity is a form of community service from the Fishery Product Processing Engineering Study Program at the KP Karawang Polytechnic as a form of implementing the third dharma of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Activities and continuity of community service are actually very important both for university managers as well as for the existence of these universities in the community. Community service with the topic of "Cultivation and Post-Harvest Techniques Tilapia" was held in Sedari Village, Cibuaya District, Karawang Regency, West Java, attended by community members, especially cultivators, Sedari village officials, Fisheries Extension Officers, and community leaders. Sedari Village The community service method is carried out by direct counseling in the Sedari village meeting room. The community service program has been carried out well with the support of the Sedari village, extension workers, and the Karawang Regency Marine and Fisheries Service.

Abstract

One of the problems that exists among coastal communities in Karawang Regency, especially Tirtajaya District, is that the majority of cultivated land owned by the community is brackish or salty. This causes the diversity of biota types to be cultivated to be limited, so other types are needed. The aim of implementing community service activities in 2023 is: to provide input on innovations in the marine and fisheries sector, especially the fisheries cultivation sector, to community actors or cultivators, with results including: 1. Increased knowledge and skills of the target community in Karawang Regency in aquatic Tilapia Cultivation activities brackish, 2). Implementation of outreach to increase education and motivation among target communities in Karawang Regency in brackish water cultivation businesses, 3). Increasing the competency of members of the Tambaksari community group in cultivating saline tilapia.

Abstract

The application of Good Fish Seedling Practices (GFSP) is critical, as proper broodstock management has a direct impact on enhanced fish output. Furthermore, inoculation with the Triptovac-22 vaccine, created by Marine and Fisheries Polytechnic of Karawang Polytechnic, is used to protect broodstock and produce disease-resistant progeny. This effort intends to: (1) adopt standardized immunization techniques; (2) examine the issues faced by fish farmers during GSFP implementation; and (3) increase tilapia farmers' production and income. The activity produced positive outcomes, including: (1) interactive discussions with tilapia farmers on adhering to GSFP standards in their aquaculture practices; (2) knowledge transfer on fish vaccination to the community; (3) fostering an understanding within the Fish Farmers Group on the importance of fish vaccination; and (4) identifying the lack of public awareness regarding hygienic water.

Abstract

The Cantang Grouper has advantages compared to its two parents, such as having a fast growth rate, being resistant to disease attacks, having tolerance to environmental changes, improving the quality of fish meat, and other superior characteristics. The purpose of carrying out this research is to see the suitability of water quality and feeding management in rearing cantang grouper broodstock. The research method uses qualitative data and all activities carried out during this research activity are analyzed descriptively. Quantitative data was processed using the Microsoft Excel 2013 program and tabulated. The research results show that the water quality in the main rearing pond is in accordance with SNI 8036.2:2014 with a DO range of 4 mg/l, temperature of 280C-320C, salinity of 33 ppt, and ammonia and nitrite conditions below 0.01 mg/l. ABSTRAKKelebihan Ikan Kerapu Cantang memiliki keunggulan dibandingkan kedua indukannya, seperti memiliki laju pertumbuhan yang cepat, tahan terhadap serangan penyakit, memiliki toleransi terhadap perubahan lingkungan, meningkatkan kualitas daging Ikan, dan sifat-sifat unggul lainnya. Tujuan dilaksanakannya Penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat kesesuaian kualitas air serta manajemen pemberian pakan pada pemeliharaan induk ikan kerapu cantang. Metode penelitian menggunakan data kualitatif dan semua kegiatan yang dilakukan selama kegiatan penelitian ini dianalisis deskriptif. Data kuantitatif diolah menggunakan program Microsoft excel 2013 dan ditabulasikan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Kualitas air pada kolam pemeliharaan induk sudah sesuai SNI 8036.2:2014 dengan kisaran DO 4 mg/l, Suhu 280C-320C, Salinitas 33 ppt, dan Kondisi Amoniak dan Nitrit dibawah 0,01 mg/l.
