Abstract

To support the production of white snapper seeds, it is necessary to deepen and understand the community in the rearing process in order to produce high quality white snapper seeds. In this way, distribution of white snapper seeds will be easy because the seeds are in very good condition and can survive until the grow-out process. The aim to be achieved from carrying out this research is to find out and deepen the methods and processes for raising white snapper seeds at the Situbondo Brackish Water Aquaculture Fisheries Center (BPBAP). The research method of this study was to obtain data on survival rate, absolute length growth, absolute weight growth and specific growth rate in rearing activities for white snapper seeds. The results of the research show: 1). The survival rate resulting from seed maintenance that has been carried out is 73%; 2). Absolute length growth during maintenance was 4.31; 3). The absolute weight growth resulting from seed rearing activities was 7.02 grams; 5).Specific growth rate of 10% in the first week, 18% in the second week and 68% in the third week. ABSTRAKUntuk mendukung produksi benih ikan kakap putih, perlunya dilakukan pendalaman serta pemahaman dari masyarakat dalam proses pemeliharaan agar dapat menghasilkan benih ikan kakap putih yang berkualitas tinggi. Dengan begitu, distribusi benih ikan kakap putih akan mudah dilakukan karena kondisi benih yang sangat baik dan mampu bertahan hingga proses pembesaran. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari pelaksanaan Penelitian ini adalah guna mengetahui serta memperdalam bagaimana cara dan proses pemeliharaan benih ikan kakap putih yang ada di Balai Perikanan Budidaya Air Payau (BPBAP) Situbondo. Metode penelitian dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh data survival rate, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak, pertumbuhan bobot mutlak dan spesific growth rate dalam kegiatan pemeliharaan benih ikan kakap putih. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan: 1).Survival rate yang dihasilkan dalam pemeliharaan benih yang telah dilakukan adalah sebesar 73%; 2).Pertumbuhan panjang mutlak selama dilaksanakan pemeliharaan adalah sebesar 4,31; 3).Pertumbuhan bobot mutlak yang dihasilkan dalam kegiatan pemeliharaan benih sebesar 7,02 gram; 5).Spesific growth rate sebesar 10% pada minggu pertama, 18% pada minggu kedua dan 68% pada minggu ketiga.

Abstract

Artemia has good nutrition for larval growth so that the larvae have adequate nutrition and are able to pass through their crucial period. This research was carried out to increase the insight, knowledge and abilities of Cadets/I in cultivating natural food, especially artemia. So, it can and is capable of contributing to the progress of fisheries cultivation. This research method is data analysis which is used to process the data is a descriptive method and calculating Hatching Rate. The aim of this research is to determine the techniques for cultivating Artemia salina and determine the development of cysts and the hatchability of Artemia salina. The results of the study showed that the average hatching rate resulting from hatching artemia cysts at BPBAP Situbondo decreased every day the longer it was stored in the refrigerator. When the cysts were immediately cultured, 94% of artemia hatched. Meanwhile, cultures using cysts that had been stored for 4 days experienced the lowest hatching, namely 56%. ABSTRAKArtemia memiliki nutrisi yang baik untuk pertumbuhan larva sehingga larva tercukupi gizinya dan mampu melewati masa krusialnya. Dilakukannya Penelitian ini adalah untuk menambah wawasan, pengetahuan serta kemampuan Taruna/I dalam membudidayakan pakan alami, terutama artemia. Sehingga, dapat dan mampu berkontribusi dalam kemajuan Budidaya perikanan. Metode penelitian ini merupakan analisis data yang digunakan untuk mengolah data adalah metode deskriptif dan hitungan Daya Tetas/Hatching Rate. Tujuan yang ingin dicapai dari dilakukannya Penelitian ini ini adalah untuk mengetahui teknik budidaya Artemia salina serta mengetahui perkembangan kista dan daya tetas dari Artemia salina. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata – rata hatching rate yang dihasilkan dari penetasan kista artemia di BPBAP Situbondo setiap harinya menurun apabila semakin lama disimpan di lemari pendingin. Pada saat kista langsung dikultur, artemia yang menetas sebanyak 94%. Sedangkan pada kultur menggunakan kista yang telah disimpan selama 4 hari mengalami penetasan paling rendah yaitu 56%.

Abstract

Fish growth is one of the problems faced by many grouper fish farmers, where this problem requires a large amount of money. The problem with growth is the lack of feed needed to increase protein for the growth of grouper fish. The aim of carrying out this research is: To determine the effect of feed on the survival of Cantang Grouper. The results of the research show that in providing feed at CV. Jaya Utama Abadi suits the nutritional needs of grouper fish, from natural food to artificial food. Natural food in the form of phytoplanton and zooplanton. The type of phytoplanton used is Chorella sp. and for zooplanton there are two types, namely Rotifera sp. and Artemia. The planton is cultured itself starting from fertilization, hatching, and harvesting. Butane feeding is also supplemented with rebon shrimp

Abstract

Bintang pomfret is an introduced fish from Taiwan and has quite good prospects in the Asia Pacific region with quite high prices. This Final Practical Work Activity (KPA) aims to carry out a t-test and to determine the effect of water quality on growth, the correlation coefficient (r calculation) is calculated. The water quality parameters observed included temperature, pH and salinity. The t-test results showed that t calculated (0.008) < t table (), this means there was no significant difference between the two growth patterns in length and weight. Meanwhile, the results of the correlation coefficient between water quality and growth show that there is no real influence between the water quality parameters observed on the growth of the pomfret.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Larangan Coastal Fishing Port (PPP) on 15-17 November 2022 and 13-14 October 2023. The research focused on mini purse seine used to catch anchovy. The research method used was survey method and data tracking of vessels and fishing gear. Samples were selected from 50 mini purse seine vessels with brand engines: Mitsubishi, Dongfeng, Tianli, Jiandong, Yanmar, Changfa, Hiundai, JF, DH, and Inda. The engines were dominated by Mitsubishi and Dangfeng, at 36% each. Then the two groups of ships with different engine brands were determined the Gross Tonage and Hourse Power (GT/HP) ratio value of each ship. The ratio value of Mitsubishi engine brand is 0.03-0.11 while that of Dongfeng brand is 0.07-0.30. The mode of GT/HP ratio value of Mitsubishi brand is 0.10 at 33.3% and Dongfeng brand is 0.15 and 0.20 at 16.7% respectively. The average GT/HP ratio value of the Mitsubishi brand is 0.0733 and the Dongfeng brand is 0.1539. The results of previous studies range the value of the GT / HP ratio from 0.11 to 0.28. Both in terms of the mode and the average value of the two engine brands, it is found that the Mitsubishi brand GT / HP ratio value with a mode of 0.10 and an average of 0.0733 < 0.11-0.28. While the Dongfeng brand mode 0.15 and 0.20 and an average of 0.1539 are in the range of 0.11-0.28. Because the GT / HP ratio value is directly proportional to GT and inversely proportional to HP engine power, the Mitsubishi brand tends to use a larger HP engine power. So that the operational cost is higher and vice versa for the Dongfeng brand the operational cost is lower or more economical. In choosing the engine brand, it was found that mini purse seine fishermen in Prohibition used Mitsubishi brand engines for the reasons of ‘strong power’ and ‘rarely broken’ at 35% each. While the Dongfeng brand chose the reason ‘The price is cheap’, ‘easy spare parts’ and ‘rarely broken’ each by 26%.

Abstract

The goal of technology refresh initiatives is to spread awareness of suggested technological advancements, particularly those created by the Maritime and Fisheries Research and Development Agency. However, there is a disparity between the technological needs at the community level and the available technology in different regions. The extent of this disparity varies depending on the region's potential and the carrying capacity of its human resources. A number of inferences can be drawn, including: 1. According to the participants, this activity is very helpful for expanding knowledge, particularly in the area of technology, which serves as the basis for technical advise. With varying degrees of progress, participants' knowledge increased. Naturally, this has to do with the participants' varied educational and professional backgrounds (capture and aquaculture), as well as the potential of the fisheries in their respective regions and the range of information offered.

Abstract

All cadets in the Fishery Product Processing Engineering and Fish Cultivation study programs participated in Community Service Activities (PKM), with the goal of understanding, adapting, and identifying various activities in the cultivation and processing areas in order to train themselves before entering the workforce. The goals of this PKM activity are to learn about the characteristics of the Nila Village cultivation and processing area, Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency, as well as the social and economic income activities of the Nila Village cultivating and processing community. According to the findings of this activity, the types of fish processing businesses in Nila Kawali Village are jellyfish products, kurucuk, gemil noodles, tilapia ice cream, and tilapia fish sticks; POKLAHSAR business activities do not have fixed income and expenses because products are processed as orders are received; and all products do not have a long shelf life because they do not contain preservatives.

Abstract

Naturally, greater agricultural output is necessary to satisfy society's growing demands. Increasing the density of stockings is one possible endeavor. The production of fish will increase with the stocking density in a cultivation container, which will also affect the amount of money made. While high fish density affects low growth and increased stress on fish, low density affects good growth and high survival rates but low production per area. Understanding the social and economic income activities of the cultivating and processing community in Nila Village, Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency, as well as the characteristics of the cultivator area—Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency—are the goals of this PKM activity. As a result of this effort, six groups of cultivators have been formed in Kawali Nila Village, Banjarwaru Hamlet, Kawali District, Ciamis Regency. Nila Village raises tilapia, a fish species that goes through three stages: hatching, nursery, and grow-out.

Abstract

The problem that Harapan Mandiri is facing is the lack of consumer buying interest in original Jeju tea products. For this reason, Harapan Mandiri is able to change this condition through product innovation using additional ingredients such as ginger and rosella flowers in the hope of attracting consumer interest. The purpose of this research is to make innovative products to increase sales turnover. The results of the study show the following business analysis: With an investment cost of 6,032,000, fixed costs 2,060,000, variable costs 4,660,000, total expenses 6,720,000/month, revenue costs Rp. 15,000,000, profit/loss Rp. 7,240,000, R/C ratio 2.07, B/C ratio 1.07, BEP price 6,720, BEP production 265 packs. The marketing strategy carried out by Harapan Mandiri in developing its business products is by promoting products more frequently to various community association forums so that people are more familiar with Jeju tea products with the addition of ginger and rosella flowers, always updated with the times so as not to be left behind by market competition. by developing flavor variants in tea and updating packaging to make it more attractive to consumers' purchasing power, collaborating with partnerships so that they can increase marketing relations and collaboration in advancing business and building public trust by maintaining quality taste and product quality.

Abstract

Improper shrimp hatchery can have an impact on the low level of fry quality so that fry production results also decrease. Therefore, quality vannamei shrimp hatcheries must be handled appropriately in accordance with standard operating procedures that have been implemented so that they are marketable. So it is necessary to study more deeply about the vannamei shrimp hatchery, especially the vannamei shrimp hatchery technique. The purpose of this study is to find out a number of things including: Operational Standards for Vanname Shrimp Hatchery; Gonad maturity performance; and Post-harvest activities of vanname shrimp hatchery. The shrimp hatchery technique uses analysis by calculating the Fertilization Rate (HR) and Hatching Rate (HR). Based on the results of the study it was found that: 1). The technical aspects of the CV Manunggal 23 shrimp hatchery in general are in accordance with the standard procedures referred to. 2). The broodstock productivity performance at CV Manunggal 23 has a good rate with an average HR of 75.83% and FR of 62% within 3 weeks. 3). Water Quality in CV. Manunggal 23 achieved optimal numbers with an average temperature of 27-28°C, pH 8, DO 5.5-5.6 mg/L, and Salinity 32-33 ppt within 3 weeks.
