Abstract

Asthma gymnastics is one type of exercise therapy that conducted in groups (exercise group) that involving activities of body movement or an essential activity to help the process of respiratory rehabilitation in patients with asthma and it is one of the supporting element in the treatment of asthma. Asthma is a lung disease with characteristics: a reversible airway (but incomplete in some patients) spontaneously or treatment; Inflammation of the airways; Increased airway response to various stimuli (hyperreactivity). This study aims to find out whether asthma gymnastic can reduce the frequency of recurrence of asthma, increase oxygen saturation and physical fitness in patients with asthma in Lung polyclinic of Wangaya hospital Denpasar. This study is an experimental study with the pre and post test control group design. Number of samples were 30 people with asthma consist of 15 patients with asthma as treatment group and 15 patients with asthma as control group. The results showed that in the treatment group have improvement on well controlled relapse and decrease of well uncontrolled relapse. Based on the value Mann Whitney test p = 0.008, it means asthma gymnastics can reduce recurrence in patients with bronchial asthma. Effect of asthma gymnastic on oxygen saturation in treatment group by mean values of % SpO2 increased from 95.1 to 96.5. By using the Mann Whitney p = 0.001, it means asthma gymnastics can improve oxygen saturation in patients with bronchial asthma. Conclusion that administration of asthma gymnastics training for three times a week for eight weeks can reduce the frequency of recurrence, improve oxygen saturation and physical fitness in patients with asthma. Asthma gymnastics will be expected to conduct by asthma sufferer regularly in an effort to control the frequency of asthma attacks effectively.

Abstract

The long term use of analgesic drugs in patients with myofascial syndrome had a bad effect. So it is very important to find another methods. Upper trapezius muscle myofascial syndrome is a collection of symptoms such as chronic pain with increased sensitivity to pressure, muscle spasms, tenderness, stiffness, limited motion, and weakness of the upper trapezius muscle. The aim of this study was to compare the rate of decline in the neck disability of interventions for Integrated Neuromuscular Inhibitation Technique (INIT), Myofascial Release Syndrome (MRT), and ultrasound therapy. This research used experimental method with pre-test and post-test group design. This experiment was conducted in RSPI Puri Indah, Jakarta. These samples included 20 people who were divided into two groups of samples, are 10 people in the first group and 10 people in the second group. Samples in the first group had an average age of 30.9 years old with men as much as 4 people and women as much as 6 people. While the second group had an average age of 32.8 years old with men as much as five people and women as many as five people. The results of testing the hypothesis by using test independent sample t-test showed significantly differences between the average after intervention disability first group with mean after intervention disabilities neck second group, with the value of the first group (21.6 ± 4.6)% and the second group (15.6 ± 3.6)% with values p <0.05. It was concluded that the Inhibitation Integrated Neuromuscular Technique (INIT) and ultrasonic therapy was better in reducing the neck disability in the upper trapezius muscle myofascial syndrome, compared to Myofascial Release Syndrome (MRT) and ultrasound therapy. The decline in neck disability will significantly optimize the functional activity of the cervical spine.

Abstract

The speed is one of the biomotoriccomponents which dominantin the run race100 meters. 100 meters run is part of athletics which has a short duration, highintensity and anaerobic systems develop. The purpose of this study was todetermine the increasing of 100 meter run speed, therefore this research is anexperimental study was conducted in SMK N Kakulukmesak Belu regency NTT,for 6 months from March - May 2014, with the frequency of exercise 3 times aweek. This study uses two types of training, and were divided into two treatmentgroups, ie group one is the training of interval run 4 x 50 meter on the sandybeach 4 reps 3 sets andgroup twois the interval run 4 x 50 meter in the yard 4 reps3 sets, implemented in the afternoon at 15.30 to 17.00 pm in the yard of SMK NKakulukmesak and Atapupu Beach, Belu regency - NTT. Sample was 20 people,chosen simple randomly from a population of 53 people who meet therequirements of inclusion and exclusion. The number of samples for each group is10 people. The speed of 100 meter run was measured using stopwatch, while the100-meter dash speed data before and after training in both groups, were testedwith parametric statistical analysis. With a paired t-test of mean difference testsobtained the 100 meter dash speed after training on each group with p <0.05. Themean speed of 100 meters before training in the group one is 16.06 seconds and13.01 seconds after training. Means increased speed of 3:05 seconds, or at =19:02%. While the average running speed of 100 meters in group two beforetraining is 16.02 seconds and after training is 13.95 seconds, the increasing ofspeed is 12.91%. This shows that the average speed of 100 meters before and aftertraining on each group there is a significant difference, with value p<0.05. Thusthe training of group 1is interval run 4 x 50 meter on the sandy beach and intervaltraining run 4 x 50 meters in the yard, after training is equal to increase the speedof the 100 meterin 10th grade student of SMK N Kakulukmesak. However, in theanalysis of data on the paired sample test, the speed training of group oneon thesandy beach is faster = 0.94 seconds than thetraining of group twoin the yard.

Abstract

This study was conducted to know the improvement the explosive power of leg muscle. It was done through 5 set 12 repetitions during 6 weeks in the field of SMP Negeri 3 Sukawati started from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. There were 3 groups applied in this study such as group 1 (control group) that was instructed to kick a ball, group 2 (plyometric training of alternate leg bound), and group 3 (plyometric training of double leg bound). The sample was 14 male students who were in the seventh grade class of SMP Negeri 3 Sukawati in the academic year 2012/2013. The data was gained by doing the movement of alternate leg bound and double leg bound that each movement was done three times before and after the training. The hypothesis was examined by using independent t-test with the result 0.05 (p<0.05). Based on the different result of analysis test in each group, the gain score of the group 2 with the group 1 about 0,51 that shows the significant differences p = 0,00, the gain score of the group 2 with the group 3 about 0,31 that shows the significant differences p = 0,00, the gain score of the group 3 with the group 1 about 0,20 that shows the significant differences p = 0,00. Thus, alternate leg bound plyometric training is more effective than double leg bound. It is expected that the coach and the gym teacher to apply alternate leg bound plyometric training as an alternative to improve the explosive power of leg muscle.

Abstract

Type of 80 meters ran is one of the numbers on athletics competed in early age of child. In early age, the physical condition and mind can still be developed continuously and systematically. The exercise in early age should be an element of play and competition, thus this exercise is attempted to develop the speed by two types of exercise: back to back relay run of 20 meters six reps four sets and back to back relay run of 30 meters four reps four sets. The aim of research is to know the increasing of 80 meters speed of run. The exercise was conducted for six weeks with a frequency of three times a week with the aim to increasing the speed. The numbered of sample was 24 people selected randomly from junior high school students of Dharma Praja Badung that meets the requirements of inclusion and exclusion. The numbered of each group consists of twelve people. Each group was given a different treatment i.e. group I was treated by back to back relay run of 20 meters six reps and four sets and group II treated by back to back relay run of 30 meters four reps four sets. Data derived from the duration time of 80 meters ran before and after exercise, with t paired test to determine the difference average speed of duration time before and after exercise in each group. Abstract

Fase pemulihan merupakan bagian yang sangat penting untuk menjaga sistem kardiovaskulertubuh.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk membandingkan efektivitas renang lambat gaya bebas dan senam Tai Chi dalam menurunkan denyut nadi pemulihan pada anggota TNI-AD Rindam IX/Udayana.Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan penelitian pre dan post test group design. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan simplerandomsampling.Penurunan denyut nadi diukur menggunakan metode Brouha. Sampel dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok, kelompok 1 (n=15) diberikan intervensi renang lambat gaya bebas setelah renang sprint gaya bebas 50 m, sedangkan kelompok 2 (n=15) diberikan intervensi senam Tai Chi setelah renang sprint gaya bebas 50 m. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 18 kali selama 6 minggu. Analisis statistik dengan Uji Paired sample T-test pada masing-masing Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 sebelum dan sesudah intervensi menunjukkan hasil p = 0,000. Hal ini menunjukkan pada kedua kelompok terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna pada penurunan denyut nadi. Sedangkan uji beda Kelompok 1 dan Kelompok 2 dengan Uji Independent Sampel Test menunjukkan hasil p = 0,000 yang berarti bahwa penurunan denyut nadi pemulihan pada kedua kelompok menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna. Penurunan denyut nadi pemulihan pada Kelompok 1 sebesar 31,47 kali/menit, pada Kelompok 2 penurunan denyut nadi pemulihan sebesar 24,27 kali/menit. Disimpulkan bahwa renang lambat gaya bebas lebih efektif menurunkan denyut nadi pemulihan daripada senam Tai Chi pada anggota TNI-AD Rindam IX/Udayana. Abstract

Physical fitness is very important to facilitate a person perform daily activities without causing significant fatigue . In an effort to improve the physical fitness training needs to be implemented and measured regularly.The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of physical fitness in terms of general endurance, the training Gymnastics Gymnastics Ayo Bangkit and Ayo Bersatu Series. The sample is students at Midwifery Department in Polytechnic of Health, Ministry of Health with an average age of 18 years . This study is a randomized experimental design with pretest - posttest control group design with a total sample of 11 people in each group . Samples were selected , respectively then each group was given training exercises . Treatment 1 (P1) given training and treatment of Gymnastics Ayo Bangkit  while treatment 2 (P2) was given training of Gymnastics Ayo Bersatu  Series 2 . Training conducted for 8 weeks with a frequency of 3 times a week starting at 17:00 to 18:00 pm located in the campus of Midwifery Department of Polytechnic of Health, Ministry of Health Denpasar. The results of computer-assisted analysis showed a significant decrease in the time of aerobic run 2.4 km at (p < 0.05) for both groups of gymnastics , and also an increase in the pulse rate at the end of exercise treatment in both groups . Ayo Bangkit Gymnastics group increased pulse rate by 11 % and the group of Ayo Bersatu  Gymnastics Series 2 by 6 % . Besides occurring differences training increased pulse rate significantly (p < 0.05) . Results of statistical analysis of differences in the time of aerobic run 2.4 miles in P1 and P2 is 42 % and the difference in pulse rate of P1 reaches training zone while P2 is not at the training zone . P1 does not get to the training zone .

Abstract

Pendahuluan: Performa seorang pelari dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, salah satunya daya tahan kardiorespirasi. High-intensity interval training (HIIT) telah diusulkan sebagai strategi latihan yang menghemat waktu untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi (VO2max). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan pengaruh HIIT rasio work-to-rest 2:1 dengan 1:1 dalam meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi pada pelari komunitas. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan rancangan berupa randomized pre and post test group design, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan consecutive sampling. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 22 orang usia 20-30 tahun. VO2max diukur dengan menggunakan 1,5 mile run test / tes lari 2,4 km. Hasil: . Hasil analisis uji t tidak berpasangan setelah intervensi pada kedua kelompok diperoleh nilai p = 0,579 (p > 0,05) yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada intervensi HIIT rasio work-to-rest 2:1 dibandingkan dengan HIIT rasio work-to-rest 1:1 terhadap peningkatan daya tahan kardiorespirasi pada pelari komunitas. Simpulan : HIIT 1:1 sama baiknya dengan 2:1 dalam meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi. Latihan HIIT dengan rasio work-to-rest 1:1 dan 2:1 dapat digunakan sebagai strategi latihan untuk meningkatkan daya tahan kardiorespirasi (VO2max).

Abstract

Employee's performance can be determined from physiological responses, alertness, work abilityand work engagement. The performance can be achieved when employees are able to adjust the capacity to the existing task demands, once is in accounting department. This department requires the ability to adjust the capacity of employees physiologically and psychologically with the tasks demands, one of the tasks was maintaining financial balance by using a computer. Employees work comfortably, safely, healthy thus increasing productivity. The working conditions need to be improved to prevent fatigue, complaints, discomfort, injury, stress, until disorder/disease that affects the company performance. It is to apply ergonomics interventions with emphasis on the psychological approach or Ergo-Psychophysiology.Experimental studies have been carried out with treatment by subject design to the 17 employees at accounting department of Bali Hyatt Hotel, Denpasar. Sample performance observed when working in conventional condition (first period) and when working with treated Ergo-Psychophysiology (second period). Employee performance data between the two periods compared and analyzed by t-paired test at the significance level of 0.05.The data results showed that a decreased in the physiological response based on the decrease of fatigue was 22.18 % and musculoskeletal complaints was 9.08 %. The alertness of employee increased based on increase of pace of work was 12.73 %, an increase of accuracy was 9.52 % and increased of constancy was 21.62 %. An increased of work ability was 7.57% and an increased of work engagement was 16.73 % (p<0.05). There was no significance result for workload based on the working pulse (p>0.05). The results showed that the Ergo- Psychophysiological influenced employee performance based on physiological responses, alertness, work ability and work engagement, although the workload is not affected. This suggests that task demand of employment in the accounting department is more mental abilities than physical activity.It was concluded that the Ergo-Psychophysiology decrease the physiological response based on the decrease in fatigue and musculoskeletal complaints. Ergo-Psychophysiology also increases alertness, work ability and work engagement. It is suggested to support on mental working condition in the accounting department.

Abstract

The aging process is a process that occurs in every human being old it is inevitable dependent and run at different speeds. Some researchers have argued about theories of aging one of which is the free radical theory and the wear and tear that is most often a factor in the aging process, aging process involves a decrease in organ function followed with increasing age means increasing the length of time working these organs. With the phenomenon is then conducted research on the relationship to sleep late with premature aging of Bali State Polytechnic Lecturer of the Department of Tourism. This research is an analytic study to find a relationship between them. This study uses primary data consists of 37 samples consisted of 25-50 years of age. Found results decreased function of muscle endurance, physical endurance, emotional control, and elasticity of the skin on the respondent who sleep late with the results of the Pearson Correlation 1 (p> 0.01.) It is considered significant. Further research is needed to determine the relationship more closely about the aging process. Keywords: Sleep late at night, early aging
