Early childhood is a group of humans who are in the process of growth and development (Tatminingsih, 2019). Abstract

This journal is motivated by the rise of electronic devices in children's daily lives which has changed their lives. As they raise their children in the digital age, parents should focus on helping them develop positive self-perception and response skills so they can make good use of digital gadgets. Knowing how the PGRI Winaya Mekar Kindergarten in Cikangkung Village, Ciracap District responds to the impact of digital technology on early childhood education is the aim of this research. Case study research is the method of choice in this qualitative investigation. Triangulation, a combinational data collection method, emphasizes meaning rather than generalization in analysis. Meanwhile, the Miles & Huberman interactive model is used for data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The findings of this study include (1) the application of a democratic and permissive parenting style by parents in raising children in the modern digital era. One approach to raising children is known as “permissive parenting”, which advocates letting children know who they are. Democratic parenting style: This approach to raising children usually gives parents greater freedom, but this approach also sets ground rules based on references that have been agreed upon by parents and children. The first negative impact of parenting patterns that are too permissive on children's development in the modern digital era is that many children are very independent, have difficulty adjusting to their peers, and are often disobedient. Second, one of the advantages of democratic parenting is that it encourages children to speak up and share ideas. When parents set limits based on their children's abilities, it helps them express themselves and develop creativity, innovation and a sense of responsibility.

This study was Motivated by the researcher's initial findings that the speaking ability of children aged 5-6 at PAUD Dara Bhakti had not yet emerged. This can be seen from 15 students at PAUD Dara Bhakti. Data obtained around 66.7% or as many as 10 children were still included in the category of children who had not developed, then 2 children were said to be starting to develop or around 13.3% while in children who developed according to expectations only around 20% or around 3 students and no children were found with very good development. Seeing this situation is very unfortunate, because children's speaking abilities include correct pronunciation, simple sentence structure, vocabulary, fluency, and good understanding. Abstract

Abstract

Assistant teachers play an important role in supporting learning in early childhood education. However, previous studies have mainly discussed their duties from a normative perspective, while their actual involvement in classroom practice has received limited attention. This study aimed to describe the role of assistant teachers in supporting the learning process at TK Kartika XIX-18 Cisaat, Sukabumi Regency. A qualitative approach with a case study method was employed. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that assistant teachers function not merely as classroom assistants but as collaborative partners throughout the learning process. During the planning stage, they contributed to preparing learning media, organizing the learning environment, and providing input for activities based on children's needs. During implementation, they supported classroom management, provided individual assistance, strengthened children's learning engagement, and maintained a conducive classroom atmosphere. During evaluation, assistant teachers observed children's development, documented learning outcomes, discussed the results with lead teachers, and used the findings to support follow-up learning plans. These findings indicate that continuous involvement of assistant teachers contributes to more effective, collaborative, and child-centered learning processes.
