Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to develop and test the reliability of the Level 2 Numeracy AKM instrument presented through an online quiz platform. The development of this instrument aims to address the need for a practical, easily accessible digital assessment tool that can enhance student engagement, particularly in efforts to strengthen the numeracy skills of elementary school students in Indonesia.Methodology - This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, adapting the ADDIE model and Retnawati's instrument development framework (analysis, design, development, user trials, and evaluation). The instrument, comprising 20 items, was designed to cover key numeracy indicators. Data were collected from 38 fourth-grade students across four elementary schools and two expert validators. The analysis included content validity assessment using Gregory's model, media feasibility analysis, reliability testing with McDonald’s Omega, and a descriptive analysis of student performance and feedback.Findings – The research confirmed the high quality of the developed instrument. The developed instrument demonstrates very high content validity, as indicated by a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 1.00 and an average validator rating of 3.45 on a scale of 4. Its reliability level is also strong, as evidenced by a McDonald's Omega value of 0.81, reflecting good internal consistency. Student responses were also very positive. The practicality score indicating that the instrument is considered engaging, easy to use, and convenient to access. In the field trial, students were able to solve fundamental problems. However, most still had difficulties when dealing with more complex material, especially fraction comparisons and algebraic concepts.Contribution –Overall, this study makes an important contribution in the form of a practical and validated model for developing digital-based numeracy assessment instruments that align with national AKM standards and international evaluation frameworks, such as PISA.

Abstract

Integrated Junior High School, Tual City, Maluku Province. It focuses on three main aspects: lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation.Methodology – This study employs a descriptive research design and a qualitative approach. Stake's Countenance Evaluation model was used to assess programs. The study evaluated 11 teachers. Data was collected through classroom observation, interviews, and document analysis related to lesson planning, process, and evaluation. Analysis revealed various findings about teacher performance.Findings – Most teachers perform their professional duties effectively. This is demonstrated by the creation of modules, mastery of teaching materials, and the development of assessment instruments. However, some key aspects still need improvement, including planning, process, and evaluation. Although overall performance is good, weak detailed planning and limited innovation in teaching methods and media hinder student attendance, participation, and achievement of minimum competency scores.Contribution – This study can serve as a reference for Al-Ikhlas Integrated Junior High School and other schools to improve teacher performance and education quality.

Abstract

History learning in high schools, including at SMAN 14 Gowa, often emphasizes rote memorization of facts, leading to low historical thinking skills among students. This quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group study tests the effect of Scrapbook media integrated with a Deep Learning approach on 11th-grade students' historical thinking skills and history learning outcomes, using a sample of 36 students (18 per experimental and control group) selected via purposive sampling from a population of 36. Instruments included essay tests for historical thinking, objective tests for learning outcomes, observation, and documentation, with data analyzed via the Shapiro-Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and the independent t-test. Results revealed significant gains in the experimental group (historical thinking: mean pretest 55.67 to posttest 83.22; learning outcomes: 58.11 to 86.89) compared to the control group using infographics (historical thinking: 56.72 to 72.28; learning outcomes: 58.50 to 74.33), with mean differences of 10.94 (t=5.55, p=0.000) for historical thinking and 12.55 (t=7.69, p=0.000) for learning outcomes. Scrapbook media with Deep Learning proved more effective for student-centered history education.

Abstract

History learning in high school often suffers from low student interest and motivation because of teacher-centered, conventional methods that fail to engage the digital generation. This study aims to examine the effect of the Game-Based Learning (GBL) model on students' learning interest and motivation in history at Athirah Bukit Baruga Islamic High School. A quantitative pre-experimental approach with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design was employed on 30 purposively selected Class X students. Data were collected using a five-point Likert-scale questionnaire and observational instruments, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, and a paired-samples t-test (α = 0.05) in SPSS. Results showed a significant increase in learning interest (M = 55.73 to M = 85.37) and motivation (M = 57.50 to M = 88.20), both with p = 0.000. Observations confirmed heightened student enthusiasm, collaboration, and interaction. Game-based learning is found to be effective in enhancing students' interest and motivation in history learning.

Abstract

This study examines the socio-historical dynamics of the Christian community in Batu Pute hamlet, Congko Village, Soppeng Regency, South Sulawesi, within a predominantly Muslim Bugis society from 1940 to 2024. The research focuses on the processes of emergence, survival, and transformation of Christian minority identity within a Muslim-majority social structure. The main research questions address: (1) the socio-cultural and spiritual factors influencing religious conversion in Batu Pute; (2) forms of adaptation, resistance, and survival strategies developed by the Christian community in response to political and ideological pressures during the colonial period, the Japanese occupation, and the DI/TII rebellion; and (3) the reconstruction of social relations and collective identity in the post-conflict period through the New Order and Reformasi era. This study employs a qualitative socio-historical approach, utilizing in-depth interviews, archival research, and literature analysis. The findings reveal that Christianity in Batu Pute did not emerge as a result of colonial religious intervention, but rather developed through local initiatives shaped by spiritual experiences and the integration of Bugis cultural values, particularly the concept of Dewata SeuwaE as a monotheistic theological framework. During periods of political turmoil, the community experienced marginalization and structural pressures, yet demonstrated remarkable social and spiritual resilience. In the post-conflict era, interreligious reconciliation was fostered through the internalization of local ethical principles such as sipakatau (humanizing others), sipakalebbi (mutual respect), and sipakainge (mutual moral reminding), which functioned as social capital for rebuilding intercommunal harmony. This study argues that the integration of minority religious identity with local cultural values constitutes a powerful social foundation for peacebuilding, social cohesion, and community resilience in plural societies
