<![CDATA[Interviewing technique was attractived technique to implement on English learning process specially in speaking field of the students that still low, caused of teachers teachnique that made students less of self-confidence and doesn’t actively in learning process. It was proved based on the students achievment in researchers observatioan data which was showed that their speaking ability was still low. Therefore, the objective of this research was to find out whether or not the implementation of interviewing technique can increase students speaking ability at the tenth grade students of SMAN 4Parepare in online class by using whatsapp group as a teaching media. The researcher applied pre-experimental class design with one group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research was tenth grade students of SMAN 4 Parepare academic year 2020/2021. The sample of this research was taken by using purposive sampling which was class X MIPA 3 that consisted of 20 students as a samples. The result of data analysis showed that the students speaking ability was increased. It was proved by the mean score in pretest was 56,3 while the mean score in posttest was 80,95. So, the score of t-test 2,217 was greater than t-table th degree of freedom (df = n − 1) 19 for 0,05 level of significance. It can be said that the implementing of interviewing technique increased the students speaking ability at the tenth grade students of SMAN 4 Parepare.]]>

<![CDATA[The result research of students in grade VII.4 of SMP Negeri 3 Parepare showed that student learning outcomes were still relatively low, namely that the learning completeness score only reached, which had not achieved DEPDIKNAS 2015 standards of 75. This research used quasi-experimental design with two groups namely pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Parepare of gazal semeste in academic year 2017/2018 with sample taking technique which was clustering random sampling consisting of 58 students from two classes taken from the seventh grade population, where class VII.4 is an experimental class and VII.5 as a control class. The results showed that the learning process using guided inquiry method could improve students' writing ability, based on the results of the research in Chapter IV it was known that the average score of learning outcomes before applying guided inquiry method or giving a pre-test was 60.00 from the DEPDIKNAS 2015 standard score with the learning outcomes category in the low category. After applying the guided inquiry method, the researcher obtained the results of the average score of students in the post-test was 79.82. Based on data analysis through the test formula shows the final t-test (6.39) was higher than the value of t-table (2.000). This showed that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, students who are taught to use guided inquiry methods are more effective than guided discovery methods.]]>

<![CDATA[Muhadhoroh is a human activity in discussing a problem by giving a speech or discussion which is attended by many people. In this case, muhadhoroh is one of an training activity that focused on the way of students speak. Therefore, The objective of this study was to find out how is the influence of muhadharoh as extracurricular activities on students' speaking ability in PPM Rahmatul Asri. This study used qualitative research. The participants in the study consisted of 14 eighth grade students at PPM Rahmatul Asri junior high school. Researchers conducted interviews to obtain data from participants. The results of this study indicate that extracurricular muhadharah is a good school extracurricular activity that can affect students' speaking ability based on the results of interviews, the results of interviews show that muhadharah extracurricular activities greatly affect students' speaking ability in English. As for the supporting things contained in muhadharah activities such as debriefing in speech procedures, increasing students' vocabulary, learning how to make facial expressions or body gestures and also being able to directly train students mentally to speak in public. The results of the interview also show that there are deficiencies in extracurricular activities such as muhadharah when the activity is not appropriate because it is carried out at night so that it takes students' rest time and makes some students tired and sleepy, there are also students who say that in this activity there are penalties if students violate.]]>

<![CDATA[Based on observation, the researcher found that students’ vocabulary mastery relatively low where the big triggers was the learning media used by teacher. So that, the objective of this researcher was to measure whether the use of telegram application can improve the seventh grade students’ vocabulary mastery at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. In this research the researcher applied quasi-experimental method.The population of this research was the seventh grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. The samples of the research taken using cluster random sampling technique, there are two classes as sample, experimental class and control class, both classes consisted of 28 students.The data was collect using vocabulary test (pre-test and post-test) and analyze employ statistical calculation to test the hypothesis. The result of this research shows that the mean score of pre-test was 45.35 and the post-test was 83.57. Besides the different score of pre-test and post-test, the mean score of the students in post-test 83.57 is higher than the Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (75) in UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. The result of t-test value in post-test was 2.214 and t-table value was 1.684. It means that H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected and The seventh grade students at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru who are taught by using telegram application is have better vocabulary mastery than the seventh grade students who are taught without using telegram application.]]>

So that the purpose of this study is to measure whether or not the use of youtube videos can improve students' speaking skill class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. This research was conducted using a pre-experimental method, with one pre-test and post-test design. The research population was the seventh grade students of UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. The research sample was class VII-2, where the class consisted of 27 students. This sample was taken using a random sampling technique. The results of this study indicated that after the treatment was carried out, most of the students felt that learning English was not so difficult, especially in learning speaking skills, they had started to feel confident to speak using English, and had a high enough enthusiasm to continue learning it. This is supported by data showing that the mean score of pre-test is 56.48 and the post-test is 80. In addition to the different scores from pre-test and post-test, the mean score of students in the post-test is 80 which is higher than the minimum score (75) at UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru. The result of the t-test score in the final test is 2.665 and the t-table is 1.706. So the researchers hereby conclude that the use of youtube videos can improve students speaking skills of class VII UPTD SMP Negeri 22 Barru.]]>

<![CDATA[The problem statement of this research is “Can the use graphic organizer improve the students reading comprehension at the second grade students of SMP universitas muhammadiyah makasar?” The objective of the research is to find out whether or not the use of graphic organizer can improve the reading comprehension of the second grade students of SMP universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. This research employed Quasi-Experimental method that applied experimental and control class.The population was the second grade students of SMP Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar 2019-2020 academic years. Total number of population was 40 students , they are class VIII. A as experimental class consisted of 20 students and class VIII. B as control class consisted of 20 students. The instrument used in this research was graphic organizer methode. The result of this research showed that the experimetal group got mean score (69,5) while the control class group got (57,5). This showed that there was improvement the students who were taught by using graphic organizer method. The result of the t-test value (4,379) was higher than t –table (1,685), this means that was accepted and was rejected .The students who taught by using graphic organizer were better than konventional srategy.]]>

<![CDATA[Movie script is a medium that can help students in learning to read. The researcher gave a movie script to students to read and understand the content of the story in the movie script that had been distributed and filled in on the kwl sheet about what they knew, wanted to know and what they had learned in the movie script story. Researchers checked each job. The reading comprehension of grade 11 students at SMAN 3 Sidrap is still low due to a lack of motivation to learn to read due to a lack of media that can attract students' interest in reading. To overcome this problem, researchers apply teaching reading using Movie Script media. The purpose of this study was to see the effect of movie scripts on reading comprehension and motivation of 11th grade students of SMAN 3 Sidrap for the 2021/2022 academic year. This study used a pre-experimental method which was only applied to one class. Students were divided into 5 groups of 25 students, after that each group was given a movie script and each group was given the task of understanding the contents of the story and writing their thoughts on the KWL column sheets that had been distributed. The population in this study were 11th grade students of SMAN 3 Sidrap. The research sample is class XI.IPA 1 with a total of 25 people. The results of the data analysis showed that students' reading comprehension increased but not significantly. The results showed that the pre-test got an average score of 57.2 while the post-test got an average score of 76.4. This means that teaching reading comprehension through movie script media is beneficial for some students in understanding reading content. In addition, the post test score is 76.4, higher than the minimum criteria at SMAN 3 Sidrap, which is 70 points. Data analysis using the t-test, the results of the t-test value (0.250) are lower than the t-table (α = 0.05: 1.729). This means that the Null Hypothesis (H0) is accepted and (H1) the Alternative Hypothesis is rejected. The results of the study concluded that teaching reading comprehension through movie script media was able to improve students' reading comprehension but not significantly. However, the results of the questionnaire showed positive results of 60.01% -100% (strongly agreed) that students were interested and motivated in the movie script teaching materials provided.]]>

<![CDATA[Pandemic Covid-19 is a problem that is afflicting almost every country in the world. Learning that is done face-to-face at school has turned into online learning that is accessed at home. This online learning applies to all levels of education, from elementary school to university. All lessons, including English, are conducted online. The change in the system is expected to support learning during pandemics, but it is reaping various problems among the community and even those involved in learning. This research uses qualitative research with the case study method. Participants in this study consisted of seven students and two English teachers at SMA Negeri 4 Parepare. In addition, this study conducted semi-structured interviews to obtain data. The results of this study indicate that the learning carried out during pandemic covid-19 has not been maximally implemented. Teachers and students try to apply the applicable learning system but are hampered by various problems such as internet network access and difficulty understanding the material.]]>

<![CDATA[The students’ vocabulary at MA PP Nurul Azhar Talawe Sidrap is still lacking and need to improve. Based on observation, the researcher found several problems in students’ vocabulary. First, students are less interested in learning English and students’ awareness to memorize vocabulary is still lacking because students think there are many words that are difficult to understand. Second, students’ perception about learning English is difficult because there are many words they have to memorize. Therefore, the researcher proposed a solution to overcome this problem by implementing a different learning strategy, namely the extensive reading strategy. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the applying extensive reading strategy can increase students’ vocabulary. The researcher used a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the students of class XI MA PP Azhar Talawe Sidrap. The sample used purposive sampling. The sample of this research was class XI.A consists of 20 students. In collecting data, the researcher used vocabulary test which was divided into pre-test and post-test. The technique of analysis data used mean score and t-test formula for an independent sample. The result showed that the mean score of students in post-test (82) was higher than the mean score in pre-test (56,5). The standard deviation of the posttest was (7,6). At a significance level of 0,05 and degree of freedom (df) 19, the value of t-test (17,70) was higher than the t-table (1,729). As a result, the hypothesis H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The researcher concluded that the applying extensive reading strategy had improved the students’ vocabulary at MA PP Nurul Azhar Talawe Sidrap.]]>

<![CDATA[Crossword Puzzle Games provides a number of questions or word phrases as a key to fill in a series of blank boxes that are designed in such a way. Crosword Puzzle can be used as a good games and fun learning without losing the essence of learning. The researcher applied a quasi-experimental method in this research. For the population, SMPN 1 Watangpulu has 210 students in eighth grade which is divided into 7 classes. Then, with 27 students in class VIII D as the experimental class and 19 in class VIII C as the control class. The results showed an improvement in the vocabulary mastery of students who used the Crossword Puzzle Games compared to students who used the Word Searches game. This was evidenced by the average score of students before treatment was the experimental class obtained 42.85 and the mean score of class control was 45.26. So, it can be concluded that applied the Crossword Puzzleis an effective to improving students’ vocabulary mastery in Eighth grade of SMPN 1 Watangpulu for the 2021/2022 academic year.]]>
