Abstract

This research aims to comprehensively analyze the online learning effectivity at Senior High School in Padang City. The research is done by using survey method towards 16 public schools as population. The research was conducted in June 2021 by taking three subjects as samplings, such as Bahasa Indonesia (Indonesian), Bahasa Inggris (English), and PPKn (Civic Education). The questionnaire consists of 30 close-type questions using Likert scale. The amount of respondents is 2161 students of grade X and XI. The data is grouped by aspects of learning objectives, infrastructures, teachers ability using technology, time efficiency, and learning outcomes. The result shows that >70% of respondents stated that online learning can increase analytical skills and divergent thinking, and is able to develop new values. The discovery was made possible because 81% respondents stated that the device they owned is compatible for online learning. In relation to teachers ability using technology and learning models, the research resulted in >70% students stated that teachers are skilled at using technology. Also, media and learning model used by teachers are able to increase students creativity and it can achieve better learning outcomes. It can be concluded that online learning at senior high school in Padang city is effective to create conducive learning and achieve maximum learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid Higher Order Thinking Skill based assessment instrument on Pancasila and Civic Education subjects in Grade XI Senior High School. The assessment instrument developed is limited to basic competence 3.1 analyzing cases of human rights violations in the perspective of Pancasila in order to realize the harmony of human rights and obligations in the life of the nation and state. The type of this study is research and development. The development design model used is the Plomp model by dividing the research phase into three phases, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase. This research was conducted up to prototyping phase. This stage is used to see the validity of the HOTS-based Civics subject assessment instrument. The study was done at Bung Hatta University and validated by three experts (validator). The results showed that the validity level of the instrument from the material aspect was 82.66%, the instrument construction validity was 86.00%, the HOTS assessment instrument validity from the language aspect and additional rules were 84.33% for language and 85.33% for additional rules. Thus the average validation of the HOTS assessment instrument is 84.58%. It can be concluded that the HOTS assessment instrument in PPKn subjects has the validity criteria of valid and can be used with minor revisions. It is recommended to continue on the practicality and effectiveness of the instrument.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan respon guru dan siswa kelas 5 SD terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran IPS pada materi “Mengenal Keragaman Budaya Nasional” dalam kurikulum merdeka. Populasi dan Responden penelitian 2 orang guru dan 20 orang siswa kelas V SD IT Permataku Tunggul Hitam, Kecamatan Koto Tangah Kota Padang. teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan angket respon guru dan angket respon siswa, teknik pengolahan data menggunakan Teknik Deskriptif dan teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis kuantitatif. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru dan siswa memberikan respon yang positif terhadap penggunaan Media Pembelajaran IPS Pada materi pelajaran “Mengenal Keragaman Budaya Nasional” berbasis multimedia interaktif. Dimana dari data yang di peroleh, respon 2 orang guru menunjukkan rata-rata respon, sebesar 80% dengan kategori praktis, kemudian rata-rata respon siswa juga menunjukkan kategori praktis dengan rata-rata sebesar 83,9%. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan Media Pembelajran IPS Mengenal Keragaman Budaya Nasional” berbasis multimedia interaktif sudah praktis dan dengan menggunakan media IPS berbasis Multimedia Interaktif. Dengan demikin media Media Pembelajran IPS Mengenal Keragaman Budaya Nasional” berbasis multimedia interaktif dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas V SDIT

Abstract

Character education is crucial in fostering moral and ethical values, which are essential for shaping responsible, respectful, and civically minded citizens. Effective character education must address not only cognitive and emotional dimensions but also integrate religious values, which are fundamental in guiding personal morals and ethics. This research, conducted at SMPN 1 and SMPN 2 in Kota Pariaman, aims to explore a holistic approach to incorporating religiosity into education. The study employed a literature review and case study analysis to identify strategies and best practices for this integration. Results suggest that embedding religiosity within character education through a well-rounded curriculum, targeted teacher training, and a supportive school environment significantly strengthens students' moral and ethical development. The study concludes that an integrated character education approach, enriched by religious values, can play a pivotal role in cultivating good citizenship. As a result, collaborative efforts from government, educators, and the wider community are essential for the successful implementation of these strategies.

Abstract

Perangkat pembelajaran sangat penting dalam mendukung tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat praktikalitas perangkat pembelajaran mata kuliah sejarah pergerakan nasional Indonesia berbasis konstruktivisme berbantu film dokumenter. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran model 4-D Thiagarajan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Perangkat pembelajaran yang akan dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini adalah Lembar Kerja Mhasiswa dan Instrumen Penelitian yang dikembangkan meliputi Lembar Observasi Aktivitas Dosen (LOAD), Lembar Aktifitas Mahasiwa (LOAM), Lembar Angket Respon  Mahasiswa (LARM) dan Lembar Validasi Lembar Kerja Mahasiswa (LKM) dan Instrumen Penelitian. menunjukkan rata-rata keterlaksanaan pembelajaran pada sekolah berada pada kriteria semua aspek dalam pembelajaran terlaksana. semua aspek yang diamati berada dalam kriteria Semua Terlaksana (ST). Respon mahasiswa terhadap semua aspek terutama terhadap perangkat pembelajaran yaitu pendapat mahasiswa terhadap komponen pembelajaran yang terdiri dari rencana pembelajaran semester, lembar kerja mahasiswa, buku ajar dan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah berada di atas 80 %. Abstract

Reactualizing Bung Hatta's character in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at universities is a strategic step towards shaping students who embody integrity, discipline, and responsibility. This is relevant in facing moral and ethical challenges in the modern era. This article aims to describe the importance of reactualizing Bung Hatta's character in PAI Learning at Higher Education Institutions. Data collection was conducted using in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentary studies. The data were analyzed using Sugiyono's framework. This qualitative research employed a case study approach. The research object was the PGSD study program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Bung Hatta. The research subjects were PAI lecturers and all 2021 PGSD students. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentary studies. Data analysis followed Matthew B. Miles Huberman's model, encompassing data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate the importance of reactualizing Bung Hatta's character in PAI Learning at the PGSD study program. Implementation strategies to integrate Bung Hatta's character in Islamic Religious Education include: 1) Developing a curriculum that aligns with contemporary values, 2) Interactive teaching methods, 3) Integration with modern contexts, and 4) Continuous assessment and feedback.

Abstract

Students are one of the important social segments that are affected and have an impact on the 2024 Presidential General Election (Pilpres). Therefore, this research aims to describe the rationality of students' political choices between rational, primordial, pragmatic, and emotional preferences or types, as well as their comparison with each other. With a population of 6174 students of Hatta University, spread across 33 study programs in the Even Semester 2023-2024, namely with cluster data collection techniques and proportional random sampling, the research sample was 330 people (5.34%), using a questionnaire instrument. The results of this study show that in real and internal comparison, each type of student political choice between rational and non-rational (irrational) preferences/types is contrasting but weak, namely 60.1% compared to 11.9%, primordial type 55.6% and non-primordial type 15.3%, pragmatic type 59.8% and non-pragmatic type 15.3%, while emotional type is 60.1% and non-emotional type 11.9%. Externally and in real terms, there is no dominant (weak) difference. However, the negative preferences of the primordial and emotional types were still more prominent, namely 55.6% and 60.1% (both less strong), so that the average difference in percentage with non-primordialism and non-emotional was 44.25% (less strong)

Abstract

Education is an inevitable effort in shaping individuals into quality human beings, yet often spirituality is sidelined. In this research, we explore the integration of spiritual development in education using the Rumi approach and its impact on student achievement. Through literature review, we found that this approach significantly influences student achievement. Integrating spiritual values into the curriculum enhances students' intrinsic motivation, happiness in learning, and mental resilience. The findings highlight the importance of integrating spiritual development in education to enhance overall student achievement. Practical implications of this research include the need for curriculum renewal, teacher training, and school environments that support holistic spiritual growth of students. These steps are crucial to ensure that education not only shapes intellectual intelligence but also nurtures balanced individuals holistically.

Abstract

Education has an important role in ensuring the survival of the nation and state. This is because education is a vehicle for building the quality of human resources. Therefore, this study was designed to describe the role of education in building the spirit of nationalism in students at SMA Negeri 2 Sikakap Mentawai. This study uses qualitative methods with data collection methods using observation, documentation and interview techniques. Data analysis was carried out in several stages, namely; inventorying and organizing data, carrying out the coding process, carrying out activities to describe data according to categories. The results of the study indicate that the problem that is still an obstacle for students to be able to carry out a proper education in the Mentawai is access to transportation which is still difficult. They have to travel long distances to get to school, so students are often late for school. In addition, the economic factor of the community which is still weak is also an obstacle for students to come to school. Because for them it is more important to earn a living than to go to school. And there is no awareness of the importance of education for them. Meanwhile, in terms of schools, good education must be carried out properly because through good education, the spirit of nationalism of students can be built well, meanwhile in practice schools find obstacles with student attendance times who often come late and challenges for teachers to be able to adjust learning. with the school environment and conditions that are still inadequate.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana sikap mahasiswa PPKn di Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Kota Padang terhadap kebijakan pemerintah dalam penanganan Covid-19. Sikap masyarakat di Kota Padang yang cenderung terbelah pasca Pilpres 2019 berhubungan dengan respons yang berbeda dalam menilai penanggulangan Covid-19 oleh pemerintah. Responden mahasiswa yang diteliti merupakan calon guru PPKn yang akan membentuk sikap siswa sebagai warga negara di masa depan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan variabel riset yang diukur melalui kuisioner valid dan reliabel yang dikembangkan sendiri. Jumlah populasi sebanyak 121 mahasiswa dan sampel 95 orang (78,51%). Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket model Skala Likert dengan teknik analisis data menggunakan SPSS-20. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sikap politik mahasiswa terhadap kebijakan Covid-19 pemerintah adalah kurang kuat (42,9%). Hal ini berarti bahwa responden mahasiswa dapat mematuhi himbauan pemerintah terkait Covid-19 tanpa melihat partai politik yang berkuasa. Polarisasi politik yang terjadi pada Pilpres 2019 biasanya masih membekas yang dapat mempengaruhi pandangan masyarakat terhadap penanganan Covid-19. Namun dalam penelitian ini terlihat bahwa mahasiswa dapat menilai secara objektif dan tidak menghubungkan kebijakan pemerintah dengan afiliasi politik partai yang sebelumnya sudah terpolarisasi.
