Abstract

The new independet curriculum allows students to show off their scientific talents in an environment free of stress, anxiety, and worry thanks to its relaxed and enjoyable learning style. Science learning, an invention of the independent curriculum, combines the scientific and social sciences. In order for children' minds to grow and their imaginations to flourish, science education is crucial. Aiming to foster children's creativity, independence, and psychological well-being, scientific education is methodically designed to facilitate learning via interaction, inspiration, entertainment, challenge, and active involvement. Furthermore, it is anticipated that youngsters can cultivate analytical, imaginative, and inquisitive thought processes. An attempt to tailor the educational experience to the unique requirements of each student is known as differentiated learning. At this time, differentiated learning is not widely used. Content, processes, products, and learning settings were all considered in the researchers' literature assessment. This literature study aims to accomplish three goals: (1) define differentiated learning; (2) describe its principles and characteristics; and (3) examine its applications in scientific education. Books and scholarly papers form the basis of this literature evaluation. The analysis reveals that: (1) students' learning styles can be accommodated by combining differentiated approaches with various models that meet their needs, such as Problem Based Learning (PBL), Project Based Learning (PjBL), and others; (2) students find this approach more engaging and it can improve their learning outcomes; and (3) students' interests and learning styles can be met by using this approach in science learning.

Abstract

Education throughout its history has always been intended as a vehicle to prepare the regeneration of students, so that they can carry out their life in a wise and fulfilling way. The demoralization and dehumanization that occurs in student life is attributed, among other things, to lack of honesty, distrust, lack of sense of responsibility, lack of discipline, and lack of self-integrity. This study aims to describe the PAI (Pendidikan Agama Islam - Islamic Education) learning process in the PPKn (Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan - Pancasila and Civics Education) Study Program at the Bung Hatta University. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. The research subjects are PAI lecturers, Kebunghataan (Bung Hatta inspired ideals) lecturers and all of the students in the PPKn study program. Techniques of data collection used include observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study showed that the PAI learning process in the PPKn Study Program at Bung Hatta University was carried out by referring to the curriculum that applies at Bung Hatta University and the study program. In writing, it has not been integrated with the idea of Kebunghataan. The implications of the above is that students who graduate from this program embody the qualities of Bung Hatta University’s ideals, namely,  politeness, honesty, thrifty, and dignity.

Abstract

Education is an inevitable effort in shaping individuals into quality human beings, yet often spirituality is sidelined. In this research, we explore the integration of spiritual development in education using the Rumi approach and its impact on student achievement. Through literature review, we found that this approach significantly influences student achievement. Integrating spiritual values into the curriculum enhances students' intrinsic motivation, happiness in learning, and mental resilience. The findings highlight the importance of integrating spiritual development in education to enhance overall student achievement. Practical implications of this research include the need for curriculum renewal, teacher training, and school environments that support holistic spiritual growth of students. These steps are crucial to ensure that education not only shapes intellectual intelligence but also nurtures balanced individuals holistically.

Abstract

Students are one of the important social segments that are affected and have an impact on the 2024 Presidential General Election (Pilpres). Therefore, this research aims to describe the rationality of students' political choices between rational, primordial, pragmatic, and emotional preferences or types, as well as their comparison with each other. With a population of 6174 students of Hatta University, spread across 33 study programs in the Even Semester 2023-2024, namely with cluster data collection techniques and proportional random sampling, the research sample was 330 people (5.34%), using a questionnaire instrument. The results of this study show that in real and internal comparison, each type of student political choice between rational and non-rational (irrational) preferences/types is contrasting but weak, namely 60.1% compared to 11.9%, primordial type 55.6% and non-primordial type 15.3%, pragmatic type 59.8% and non-pragmatic type 15.3%, while emotional type is 60.1% and non-emotional type 11.9%. Externally and in real terms, there is no dominant (weak) difference. However, the negative preferences of the primordial and emotional types were still more prominent, namely 55.6% and 60.1% (both less strong), so that the average difference in percentage with non-primordialism and non-emotional was 44.25% (less strong)

Abstract

The use of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies in education has opened new opportunities to enhance learning quality, including within the Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG). As part of the effort to prepare professional teachers who can integrate the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, the exploration of AR- and VR-based learning becomes increasingly relevant for strengthening the values of gotong royong (mutual cooperation) and global diversity. This study aims to analyze the existing literature on the application of AR and VR in PPG and their impact on reinforcing these values. The research employed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, reviewing 38 articles published between 2014 and 2024 in reputable journals indexed by Scopus, Sinta, Springer, IEEE Xplore, and Google Scholar, ensuring relevance to the technological developments of the past decade. The findings indicate that AR and VR can create immersive learning environments that allow PPG participants to deeply understand cultural diversity and collaborate effectively through interactive simulations. Moreover, these technologies assist teachers in developing pedagogical competencies that support cross-cultural and project-based learning. Despite their great potential, the adoption of AR and VR remains constrained by issues of accessibility, cost, and the need for intensive teacher training. In conclusion, AR and VR make a significant contribution to promoting the values of gotong royong and global diversity within PPG; however, more inclusive and sustainable implementation strategies are required to maximize their educational impact.
