Abstract

This study examines the effect of training and work discipline on employee performance, with competency as a mediating variable at the Office of Harbormaster and Port Authority Class II Jayapura. A quantitative approach was employed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with 66 respondents. The findings reveal that training has a positive and significant impact on employee competency, while work discipline also positively and significantly influences competency. Furthermore, employee competency significantly enhances performance. Additionally, both training and work discipline have a direct and indirect positive and significant effect on performance through competency mediation. These results underscore the importance of effective training and work discipline strategies in enhancing employee competency, ultimately contributing to improved organizational performance.

Abstract

Penerapan berbagai keterampilan dalam kaitannya dengan kemampuan guru perlu dikaji lebih lanjut. Mengingat bahwa hasil uji kompetensi guru yang dilakukan ternyata masih jauh dari harapan. Untuk itu patut dipertanyakan apa ukuran kinerja yang melekat pada guru yang kompeten dalam arti memiliki keterampilan-keterampilan prasyarat sebagai seorang guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh keterampilan teknis, keterampilan sosial, dan keterampilan konseptual secara parsial dan simultan terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Dasar di Wilayah Distrik Sentani Timur Kabupaten Jayapura. Populasi dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 90 orang.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan teknis, keterampilan sosial, dan keterampilan konseptual secara parsial dan simultan terbukti berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kinerja guru Sekolah Dasar di Wilayah Distrik Sentani Timur Kabupaten Jayapura. Variabel yang paling berpengaruh dalam penelitian ini adalah variabel keterampilan konseptual.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of compensation, leadership, and organizational commitment, both partially and simultaneously, on employee job satisfaction at the Village and Traditional Community Empowerment Service of Papua Province. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive correlational design. The study population consisted of all Civil Servants (PNS) in the service, with a sample of 111 respondents selected using the census method. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the aid of statistical software. The results showed that, partially, the variables of compensation and organizational commitment had a positive and significant influence on job satisfaction. In contrast, the leadership variable was found to have a negative and significant influence on job satisfaction. Simultaneously, compensation, leadership, and organizational commitment together had a significant influence on employee job satisfaction. These findings confirm that factors such as fair compensation, supportive leadership, and emotional attachment to the organization are crucial pillars in shaping job satisfaction. However, the different result for the leadership variable indicates complex dynamics within the bureaucratic work environment, where the leadership style implemented is not always aligned with employees' expectations for increasing satisfaction. The coefficient of determination (R^2) value of 0.885 indicates that 88.5% of the variation in job satisfaction can be explained by the three independent variables, while the remaining 11.5% is explained by other factors outside the research model.

Abstract

Human resources are a critical determinant of organizational success, particularly in the public sector. Employee performance is influenced by several factors, including leadership, work motivation, and work discipline, which remain challenges in regional government institutions such as the Department of Industry, Trade, Cooperatives, and SMEs in Yahukimo Regency, Indonesia. This study aims to examine the influence of leadership, work motivation, and work discipline on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. A causal-comparative research design with a quantitative approach was employed. The population consisted of all 37 employees of the department, who were included as a saturated sample. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using multiple linear regression with classical assumption tests, t-tests, and F-tests. The findings reveal that leadership, work motivation, and work discipline each have a significant positive effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, the three variables explain 51.1% of the variance in performance, with work discipline contributing the strongest effect, followed by motivation and leadership. The results highlight the importance of strengthening leadership practices, implementing effective motivational strategies, and enforcing consistent work discipline to improve organizational performance in the public sector. This study contributes empirical evidence to the human resource management literature in developing regions and provides practical recommendations for local governments to enhance civil servant performance.

Abstract

Ilmu Ekonomi mikro mempunyai tujuan untuk memahami perilaku mahasiswa (konsumen) dan Dosen (Produsen) dalam mengambil keputusan ekonomi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di Kampus. Hal ini penting disampaikan pada Dosen dan Mahasiswa di lingkungan Universitas Cenderawasih. Mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa adalah salah satu tujuan utama dari sistem pendidikan di Indonesia juga untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat pada Perguruan Tinggi di lingkungan Universitas Cenderawasih. Untuk mencapai hal tersebut, memastikan bahwa ruang Pendidikan baik secara fisik, emosional, maupun psikologis-sehat, aman, dan nyaman menjadi hal yang sangat krusial. Kegiatan Training of Trainer dan Sosialisasi Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual (PPKS) ini perlu dilakukan dengan melibatkan laki-laki dan perempuan yang hasilnya ada pemahaman pengetahuan PPKS dalam kehidupan kampus oleh mahasiswa (konsumen) dan Dosen (Produsen) baik laki-laki dan perempuan dalam setiap Fakultas di Universitas Cenderawasih. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah; Egedukasi pengetahuan tentang Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual (PPKS) pada Dosen dan mahasiswa di lingkungan Universitas Cenderawasih Kota Jayapura. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian pada Dosen dan mahasiswa di lingkungan Universitas Cenderawasih dengan memberikan pemahaman tentang, Pentingnya Mencerdaskan Kehidupan Bangsa dengan Memastikan Ruang Pendidikan Yang Sehat, Aman, Nyaman pada Dosen dan Mahasiswa Universitas Cenderawsih dan Pengetahuan dan Pencegahan dan Penanganan Kekerasan Seksual (PPKS).

Abstract

Arso VII merupakan salah satu wilayah di Papua yang memiliki potensi besar dalam sektor perikanan, terutama budi daya ikan lele. Namun, keterbatasan dalam pengolahan hasil perikanan menyebabkan rendahnya nilai tambah dan pendapatan keluarga. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah pelatihan pembuatan abon lele sebagai produk olahan bernilai ekonomis tinggi. Melalui program pengabdian ini, masyarakat akan diberikan pemahaman mengenai manajemen usaha dan keterampilan dalam pengolahan abon lele. Diharapkan, program ini dapat meningkatkan perekonomian keluarga serta mendorong kemandirian usaha bagi masyarakat Arso VII. Adapun tujuan kegiatan pengabdian adalah: (1) Memberikan pelatihan pembuatan abon lele kepada masyarakat Arso VII. (2) Membantu masyarakat dalam memahami manajemen usaha sederhana untuk pengembangan produk.(3) Meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga melalui usaha pengolahan abon lele. Dan Metode Pelaksanaan (1) Sosialisasi: Penyampaian informasi mengenai manfaat dan potensi bisnis abon lele.(2) Pelatihan Teknis: Proses pembuatan abon lele dari pemilihan bahan baku hingga pengemasan. (3) Pelatihan Manajemen Usaha. Hasil Evaluasi kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa (1) pada umumnya perserta tertarik dengan materi pembuatan abon lele dan materi menjadi wirausaha mandiri, (2) materi yang diberikan sangat bermanfaat dan dibutuhkan oleh peserta, (3) untuk pelaksanaan peserta menyatakan waktu kurang karena banyak hal yang masih dibutuhkan penjelasan, (4) Mengharapkan adanya keberlanjutan kegiatan berikutnya dengan materi yang dibutuhkan oleh ibu-ibu.

Abstract

The Airport Organizing Unit requires reliable apparatus resources, both in terms of ability in their work and behavior in the organization, because apparatus resources are an important element in the context of providing public services. This research aims to analyze the influence of organizational climate, work environment and supervision in motivating employees to form organizational citizenship behavior among Aviation Security Section employees at the UPBU Class 1 Mopah Merauke Office. Data was collected from all Aviation Security Section employees at the UPBU Class 1 Mopah Merauke Office through a questionnaire. A saturated sampling technique was carried out with a total final sample of 94 respondents. The data collected was analyzed using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) technique. The results of the analysis show that there is an influence of organizational climate, work environment and supervision in motivating employee work, but this influence has no effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Thus, work motivation cannot explain the mediating role in this relationship

Abstract

The demand to always have integrity, be professional, be responsible for work and the organization and be an example for others is not an easy matter for Civil Servants in the Ministry of Religion, especially in the South Papua Province region. This research aims to analyze the relationship between leadership style, quality of work life and communication mediated by motivation on employee work engagement. Data collection was carried out using a saturated sampling approach, with a final sample size of 148 respondents. The SEM analysis technique is carried out by evaluating the measurement model and structural model. The results of the analysis show that work motivation does not mediate the influence of leadership style, quality of work life and communication on employee engagement. It was found that there was a significant influence of leadership style, quality of work life and communication on work motivation, but these three variables had no effect on employee engagement.
