Abstract

Education is a conscious and planned effort to make humans intelligent, skilled and have noble character. In educational practice in Indonesia, the government has launched the Independent Learning curriculum. The Independent Learning Curriculum aims to enable students to freely think, express, be creative, and access knowledge from various sources. In practice, the Independent Curriculum certainly cannot be separated from the learning and assessment process. The learning process and assessment are components that cannot be separated, if the learning process carried out is effective then it must be accompanied by an assessment that is able to facilitate students providing feedback on their strengths and weaknesses, so that students always experience development in a positive direction. Diagnostic assessment is a type of assessment that is very important to determine students' learning readiness, talents, interests and learning styles. Conclusions from this research First, implementing diagnostic assessments is very important in order to create learning that supports students. Second, the implementation of diagnostic assessments in class I mathematics learning is based on the Pancasila Student Profile so that its implementation can be in accordance with the nation's noble values. Third, the application of a diagnostic assessment based on the Pancasila Student Profile in class I mathematics learning is based on the learning theory of cognitive development by "Piaget" with the aim that the assessment is in accordance with the stages of cognitive development of class students, namely at the concrete pre-operational stage. Fourth, the implementation of diagnostic assessments based on the Pancasila Student Profile and referring to the "Piagetian" theory of cognitive development has been proven to bring positive changes, including increased student motivation and focus on learning, students understand the learning material better, and student learning outcomes also improve. Abstract

Study findings about students' learning needs became the basis for this research. To improve high-level cognitive learning outcomes based on students' metacognitive characteristics, this research will apply Discovery Learning. This research uses Solomon Four Groups Design, a type of quasi-experimental research methodology. The research population was 216 fourth grade students at Al Kautsar Elementary School. In keeping with the research objectives, a cluster random sampling approach was used to select the sample for this investigation, resulting in a total of 112 students. The data analysis method uses the Man Whitney test which is non-parametric. Research findings show that discovery learning is effectively implemented in elementary schools because it can foster student participation in learning activities, which in turn can improve cognitive learning outcomes at a high level based on students' metacognitive characteristics.

Abstract

Process of learning mathematics in the school that the researcher is aiming for tends to be theoretical, less contextual and pseudo. Applies mathematical concepts in learning with local cultural wisdom able to touch aspects in the daily lives of students. This study aims to apply the ethnomathematics-ground Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to ameliorate critical thinking in mathematics literacy. This explored was type of quasi-experimental explored (pseudo-experiment), with The Non-Equivalent Control Group type design. The population of this study was all fourth grade students at SD Insan Mandiri Bandar Lampung, totaling 121 students. The sample of this studied was determined by intentional slice fashion, which is a sample determination fashion with consideration in opting for the class to be studied and attained by as numerous as 49 students. Data collection technique used valid and dependable test instruments. The data analysis fashion uses a mated t- test with the results attained for the experimental class with a significance value of 0.000 (p<0.05) passing significant changes and in the control class which is not applied to the Ethnomathematics-based PBL model gets a value of 0.070 (p>0.05) indicating that the results of the original test and final test do not witness significant changes. Grounded on the data attained is from the results of this study, the ethnomathematics-ground Problem Based Learning (PBL) model to ameliorate thinking is significant.

Abstract

Abstract: Media, particularly big books, serves as an effective support in low-grade classrooms. Various types of media have been developed to enhance the reading abilities of lower-grade students. The research method employed in this study involves a written survey where reading experts assess, evaluate, and formulate various writings. The findings from the research indicate that the use of large media significantly impacts the development of early reading skills. The primary objective of this research is to evaluate how the utilization of big book media can contribute to the improvement of early reading skills and to describe the developments in big book media observed in previous studies. Furthermore, the research results are compared to derive a final conclusion that the use of large media has a significant impact on early reading comprehension skills. This research highlights the success of involving big book media, taking into account the intelligence levels of students in lower grades. The main instrument in collecting this information is the analyst who compiles various studies in a research diary with points reflecting the subjects explored by specialists.Keyword: Beginning Reading, Elementary School, Big Book Abstrak: Media, khususnya big book, menjadi pendukung yang efektif dalam pembelajaran di kelas rendah. Berbagai jenis media telah dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca para siswa di kelas rendah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini melibatkan survei tertulis di mana para ahli membaca, mengevaluasi, dan merumuskan berbagai tulisan. Temuan dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media besar memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap perkembangan keterampilan membaca awal. Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi bagaimana pemanfaatan media big book dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan keterampilan membaca awal, serta untuk menggambarkan perkembangan media big book yang telah diamati dalam penelitian sebelumnya. Selanjutnya, hasil penelitian dibandingkan satu sama lain untuk mendapatkan kesimpulan akhir bahwa penggunaan media besar memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada keterampilan membaca pemahaman awal. Penelitian ini menyoroti keberhasilan melibatkan media buku besar mengingat tingkat kecerdasan siswa di kelas rendah. Alat utama dalam pengumpulan informasi ini adalah analis yang mencatat berbagai penelitian dalam buku harian riset dengan poin-poin yang mencerminkan subjek yang dijelajahi oleh para spesialis.Kata Kunci: Membaca permulaan, Sekolah Dasar, Big Book

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan serta kesiapan kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan komitmen dan budaya organisasi kepala sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru SMA di Kota Bandar Lampung. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah peserta dapat mengimplementasikan hasil desiminasi penelitian tentang gaya kepemimpinan instruksional sekolah. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan dan target di atas adalah (1) Kegiatan ceramah dan diskusi/tanya jawab tentang pentingnya pemahaman kepemimpinan instruksional, (2) Penyajian materi kepemimpinaan pendidikan khususnya kepemimpinan instruksional, komitmen organisasai, budaya organisasai, kepuasan kerja guru. (3) Memberikan pelatihan dengan menyajikan materi melalui tatap muka langsung mengenai kepemimpinan instruksional, (4) Memberikan pelatihan kepemimpinaan instruksional (5) melakukan pretest dan postest. Hasil dari pretest yaitu sebesar 80% dalam kategori belum memahami, akan tetapi pada hasil postest diperoleh skor rata-rata yaitu 90% meningkat dalam kategori baik. sehingga menunjukkan peserta didik dapat memahami materi pelatihan kepemimpinan instruksional bagi kepala sekolah SMA se Bandar Lampung dan diharapkan kepala sekolah dapat mengimplementasikan gaya kepemimpinan instruksional untuk meningkatkan komitmen dan budaya organisasi dan kepuasan kerja guru.   Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Kepemimpinan Instruksional  ABSTRACT The purpose of this service activity is to provide understanding and knowledge, as well as to prepare the instructional leadership of school principals in enhancing the commitment and organizational culture of school principals and the job satisfaction of high school teachers in Bandar Lampung City. The specific target to be achieved is that participants can implement the results of the research dissemination on school instructional leadership styles. The methods that will be used to achieve the above goals and targets are (1) lectures and discussions/Q&A sessions about the importance of understanding instructional leadership, (2) presentation of material on educational leadership, specifically instructional leadership, organizational commitment, organizational culture, and teacher job satisfaction, (3) providing training by presenting material through face-to-face meetings on instructional leadership, (4) offering training on instructional leadership, and (5) conducting pretests and posttests. The result of the pretest was 80% in the category of not understanding, but in the posttest, an average score of 90% was obtained, indicating an improvement in the good category. This shows that the students can understand the training material on instructional leadership for high school principals in Bandar Lampung, and it is hoped that the principals can implement instructional leadership styles to enhance commitment, organizational culture, and teacher job satisfaction.  Keywords: Training, Instructional Leadership

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini menghasilkan instrumen penilaian kinerja berbasis Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian pengembangan ini mengikuti tujuh tahap metode Borg and Gall. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui observasi, angket, dokumentasi, dan tes kinerja. Berdasarkan hasil validasi ahli materi, ahli evaluasi dan ahli bahasa diperoleh rata-rata 83,7% dengan kriteria sangat layak. Hasil uji reliabilitas cronbach's alpha menunjukkan  hasil 0,79 > 0,5 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen pada penilaian kinerja reliabel atau konsisten dengan kategori tinggi. Uji efektifitas merujuk hasil pretest dan post test menggunakan Uji T Paired, didapatkan nilai mutlak 15,646 berarti t hitung > t tabel (2,040), sehingga disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan dari penggunaan instrumen penilaian kinerja berbasis model Project Based Learning untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara peserta didik kelas IV sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini juga menguji aspek kepraktisan dimana instrumen yang dikembangkan memperoleh hasil rata-rata respon dari pendidik sebesar  93,7% dan rata-rata respon peserta didik sebesar  95,5% dengan kriteria sangat layak.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to characterize and understand the mathematical problem-solving skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 1 Tanjung Sari, particularly with regard to narrative problems with flat forms. This study employs a qualitative descriptive methodology that focuses on close observation and in-depth examination of the research participants, who are SDN 1 Tanjung Sari fifth-grade pupils. Two primary methods were used in this study to gather data: assessments of students' mathematical problem-solving skills and interviews. The Miles and Huberman Model, which has three primary stages data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing was used to conduct the data analysis. The technique of eliminating extraneous or useless data is known as data reduction. Data presentation is the process of arranging and displaying information in a way that is simple to understand. Drawing conclusions from study results entails analyzing data and drawing judgments. The study's findings indicate that pupils' average proficiency in solving mathematical problems involving flat shapes is 75.78, falling within the middle range. This indicates that although there is still need for development, pupils' grasp of the notion of flat forms is adequate. The study indicated that, when considering learning interest, students' average mathematical problem-solving skill was 87.22 for high learning interest students, 74.85 for moderate learning interest students, and 57.80 for low learning interest students. This demonstrates that students' aptitude for solving mathematical puzzles is greatly influenced by their learning interests. Overall, this study offers significant new information on how learning interests might influence students' ability to solve mathematical problems. Future instructional materials for more efficient learning can be developed using these findings as a foundation

Abstract

Efektivitas Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (PBM) Untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berfikir Lancar Siswa Pada Materi Reaksi Redoks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis masalah (PBM) dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir lancar siswa pada materi reaksi redoks. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA yang ada di SMA Negeri 1 Tulangbawang pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2017/2018. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah clauster random sampling dan diperoleh sampel kelas XI IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPA 4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Pengaruh model PBM diukur berdasarkan rata-rata nilai n-Gain keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada kelas eksperimen rata-rata nilai n-Gain keterampilan berpikir lancar siswa sebesar 0,88 (kriteria tinggi). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran PBM efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir lancar siswa pada materi reaksi redoks.

Abstract

Development of Individual Learning Program (PPI) Model for Children with Special Needs in Inclusive Primary Schools in Metro City. The purpose of this research is to analyze and describe the policy of inclusive education in Metro City through the provision of good services and implementation facilities, to increase the competence of special companion teachers for children with special needs, to produce a model for developing Individual Learning Programs for children with special needs in primary schools that provide inclusive education. Produce graduate masters in education management on time. This study uses a research and development, method which is a research method used to produce a lesson plan (RPP) product. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) with a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. Primary and secondary data sources were obtained from informants selected purposively based on their mastery of inclusive education service management. This research was conducted for four months. This research includes research by the research team lecturers in the form of Individual Learning Program Model Development for Children with Special Needs in Inclusive Elementary Schools in Metro City with postgraduate students of the education management study program FKIP University of Lampung as guidance. The results of this study were addressed to the Metro City Government through the Education and Culture Office as a learning material tool(legal draft)of the individual learning program (PPI) model for children with special needs (ABK) through special companion teachers (GPK) in elementary schools (SD) of Metro City.

Abstract

There is a needs analysis of low teacher performance. This research aims to analyze school management models to improve elementary school teacher performance. This research is a type of Research and Development (R&D) research, development is carried out referring to Borg & Gall's theory. The population of this research is elementary school teachers. The subjects in this research were 74 teachers. Data collection tools use valid and reliable test instruments. Data analysis techniques with quantitative and qualitative analysis. The results of the validity data analysis test show that the school management model developed is valid for use. The results of calculating data on attractiveness, convenience and usefulness obtained an average value of 88.35 with very practical criteria. The effectiveness of the management model developed can be seen from the average N-Gain score with medium criteria and the t test shows there is a significant difference in teacher performance. The research conclusion is that the school management model developed is valid and practical to use and effective in improving the performance of elementary school teachers. The implications of this research are that management models can facilitate teachers in improving performance.
