Abstract

The limited availability of teaching materials that connect mathematical concepts with students’ real-life and cultural contexts has become a critical challenge in improving students’ conceptual understanding and cultural awareness in mathematics learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop a culture-integrated teaching module based on the Realistic Mathematics Education approach for students at SMAN 1 Palopo, particularly on the topic of systems of linear equations in three variables. This study employed a research and development (R&D) method using the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate) development model. The research subjects consisted of students of SMAN 1 Palopo and mathematics teachers involved in the implementation stage. Data were collected using module validation sheets, learning implementation observation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The product analysis procedures included validity analysis by experts, practicality analysis based on teacher and student responses, and effectiveness analysis based on learning implementation and student learning outcomes. The results of the development analysis indicate that the Realistic Mathematics Education-based teaching module integrated with local culture is valid, practical, and effective. Expert validation results show that the module meets the language and presentation criteria. Teacher and student responses indicate positive perceptions of the module’s usability and relevance. Furthermore, learning outcome test results demonstrate that students were able to solve problems according to the indicators of Realistic Mathematics Education integrated with culture, indicating improved understanding of systems of linear equations in three variables.

Abstract

The low level of students' numeracy literacy and the limited availability of contextual teaching materials that encourage active problem-solving highlight the need to develop innovative learning resources aligned with the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to develop a numeracy literacy teaching module based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) for 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Palopo, focusing on the topic of data presentation. The study employs a modified 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) and was carried out up to the Develop stage. The research subjects consisted of 32 students from class VII B, with instruction conducted over six sessions in April 2026. The results indicate that the module meets the following criteria: (1) valid, with an average validation score of 3.4 (highly valid); (2) practical, with a student response rate of 81% (excellent), an instructional implementation rate of 98.9% (fully implemented), and a student activity rate of 85.4% (highly active); and (3) effective, with an average post-test score of 77.6. The results of this study indicate that the developed PBL-based literacy and numeracy teaching module meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Perkembangan kehidupan di era digitalisasi, penerapan teknologi sudah semakin merata terutama dalam dunia pendidikan, sehingga dilaksanakan kegiatan pengembangan keterampilan digital anak SD dengan Microsoft Office yang menjadi solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk membantu meningkatkan pemahaman serta memperluas wawasan peserta didik di Desa Tarengge Timur tentang pengoperasian komputer/leptop terutama penggunaan microsoft office sebagai bekal untuk masuk ke jenjang pendidikan yang lebih tinggi. Adapun beberapa tahapan yang dilakukan dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yang pertama yaitu tahapan observasi dan diskusi dengan pemerintah desa dan masyarakat setempat terkait pelaksanaan kegiatan tersebut, selanjutnya tahap pelaksanaan yang diawali dengan pemaparan materi dasar tentang microsoft office secara umum, setelah itu dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan tentang microsoft word. Pemaparan tentang microsoft word ini menjelaskan tentang manfaat dari penggunaan microsoft word, menjelaskan tentang pengertian microsoft word, mengenalkan macam-macam menu dan fungsi yang ada di halaman microsoft word, memformat teks dan paragraf, membuat dan memformat tabel, serta cara untuk menyimpan dokumen.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan memperkenalkan konsep, aplikasi, dan potensi deep learning dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matematika pada jenjang pendidikan sekolah menengah pertama. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan selama dua bulan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan ini pada tanggal 17 Mei 2025 yang diikuti oleh guru MGMP matematika SMP Kabupaten Luwu Utara. Melalui paparan materi, diskusi, dan praktik langsung, peserta diajak memahami bagaimana deep learning dapat membantu visualisasi konsep abstrak, serta memberikan umpan balik yang personal dan real-time. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa integrasi deep learning tidak hanya meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan motivasi belajar siswa, tetapi juga mendorong terciptanya pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif, interaktif, dan menyenangkan. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini diharapkan menjadi langkah awal dalam transformasi pedagogis yang relevan dengan tuntutan pendidikan abad ke-21, sekaligus memperkuat kolaborasi antar pendidik dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran matematika yang inovatif dan inklusif
