Abstract

AbstractBSE practice is a breast examination performed by women to detect breast cancer lumps. This disease occupies the highest percentage of cases of other cancers and the highest percentage of deaths in women in the world. Breast cancer can be detected by prevention, one of which is breast self-examination (BSE). The tendency of women in early breast cancer detection with BSE is still low, even in 2015 non-health faculty students at the University of Jember. Many studies state that non-health faculty students are mostly rare and never practice BSE. This study aims to analyze the relationship of knowledge, attitudes, sources of information, peer support and anxiety about BSE practices in 2015 college students at the University of Jember. This type of study is analytic with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted on 227 respondents. The sampling technique is proportional random sampling. The results showed that there was a correlation between knowledge, attitudes, sources of information, peer support and the level of anxiety about BSE practices. After the logistic regression test, it showed that the knowledge most related to BSE practice was p-value 0.083. Keywords: Breast cancer, non-health faculty students, BSE practice

Abstract

Islamic boarding school is a place where students gather in one room such as sleeping, eating, studying and using shared bathrooms so that it becomes a risky place for disease transmission. The activity stages started from setting priorities for existing problems using the USGF (Urgency, Seriousness, Growth, Feasibility) matrix and next stage conducted an introspective survey. Diarrhea is the first priority health problem in the Nurul Hidayah Islamic boarding school. The results of the introspective survey stated that all students did not wash their hands with soap before and after eating and defecating or urinating, all students also often consumed food from outside. Based on observation, the Nurul Hidayah Islamic boarding school did not have a handwashing area yet, a closed trash can, and a Poskestren. Empowerment of the pesantren community through an Mawas Diri survey resulted in setting priorities for health problems in the Nurul Hidayah Islamic boarding school environment, namely diarrheal disease. From the results of filling in the introductory survey instrument, behavioral and non-behavioral (enivornment and policy) factors will be obtained that were at risk of disease transmission, especially diarrhea.

Abstract

Indonesia will follow the global elimination target, is the elimination of TB in 2035 and Indonesia to be free of TB in 2050. The challenge in the Tuberculosis control program in Indonesia is there are many undetected cases of tuberculosis and cases that have undetected and unreported. So, needs to change the case-finding approach from passive to intensive and active. The complexity of filling out TB forms by private doctors has resulted in the low notification of TB patients. So, I made an electronic system using a smartphone-based application, namely the Application Mandatory Notification (WiFi) of TB, which application is made simpler and easier. This study aims to describe the implementation of compulsory TB notification (WiFi) in the Public Health Office Jember District. This research uses descriptive research. The research sample was 2 TB officers. This research was analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicate the description of the input, process, and output aspects of the implementation of mandatory notification (WiFi) TB.

According to Probolinggo Blood Transfusion Unit, there are 55 blood donors screened reactive for anti-HIV antibodies in 2013-2018. Infected Blood by HIV virus causes a risk to donor recipients, especially the transmission of infection through blood transfusions. The purpose of this study is to describe the seroepidemiological trends of anti-HIV antibodies in blood donors. Methods: Descriptive research using annual data from Probolinggo Blood Transfusion Unit. The samples used in this study were all blood donors in 2013-2019 (29,421 blood donors). Blood donors were screened using Murex Ab/Ag Combination Diasorin UK Branch. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Result: There were 0.19% anti-HIV antibodies reactive in the blood of donors with the characteristics of blood donors were males, O blood types, voluntary and recurrent donors and conducting blood donor Kraksaan District. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, Probolinggo has a relatively low number of anti-HIV antibody findings. Nonetheless, the results show there has been an increase in the results of reactive screening for anti-HIV antibodies over the past 6 years in Probolinggo. Therefore, it is very necessary to maintain the quality of the screening that has been done and coordinate with the Probolinggo DHO to follow up on this problem.

Abstract

Intervensi Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) terbukti dapat menurunkan 860.000 kematian anak akibat kekurangan gizi salah satunya stunting.
