Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk : 1) mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, 2) mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, 3) mengetahui pengaruh model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan 4) ‘mengetahui pengaruh kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan berpikir kritis secara bersama-sama terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu dengan sampel penelitian sebanyak 72 siswa yaitu kelas Fase E SMA Hang Tuah 5 Sidoarjo yang dipilih dengan menggunakan cluster random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan instrumen: tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, berpikir kritis, dan berpikir kreatif. Teknik analisis data pada rumusan masalah pertama sampai ketiga dilakukan menggunakan uji ANCOVA dan rumusan masalah keempat menggunakan uji multivariat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan : (1) adanya pengaruh signifikan model PBL terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah, (2) adanya pengaruh  signifikan model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis, (3) adanya pengaruh signifikan model PBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dan (4) adanya pengaruh signifikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis dan berpikir kritis secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif sebesar 87, 8%.

Abstract

This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with the aim of analyzing the effectiveness of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model compared to the expository model. Additionally, the study also evaluated the significance of the interaction between the learning models and learning styles on students' critical thinking abilities and learning outcomes. The research method applied was a quasi-experiment using a 2 x 3 factorial design technique. The population involved all tenth-grade students in the academic year 2022/2023. Through random sampling, two classes were selected as the research sample. One class served as the experimental group implementing Project Based Learning, while the other class served as the control group with conventional (expository) learning. The data collection process was carried out using non-test instruments that included the variable "learning style" and test instruments consisting of pre-tests and post-tests. The measurement of test results was conducted utilizing a rubric to evaluate critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes. To address hypothesis 1, the Mann Whitney test was employed, obtaining a sig. (p-value) of 0.00 < 0.05, proving that PjBL is more effective than the Expository model. Similarly, for hypothesis 2, using the same test, Mann Whitney, yielded a sig. value of 0.02 < 0.05, demonstrating that PjBL is more effective in improving learning outcomes compared to the expository model. As for proving hypothesis 3, the Anova test (2 ways) was utilized, obtaining a sig. value of 0.390 > 0.05, indicating that the interaction between the learning model and learning style on critical thinking skills is not significant. Likewise, in responding to hypothesis 4, using the Anova test (2 ways) resulted in a sig. value of 0.137 > 0.05, meaning that the interaction between the learning model and learning style on learning outcomes is not significant. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dibandingkan dengan model ekspositori. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengevaluasi signifikansi interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis serta hasil belajar siswa. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan teknik factorial design 2 x 3. Populasi yang menjadi objek penelitian melibatkan seluruh siswa kelas X pada tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Dengan menggunakan metode random sampling, terpilih dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian. Satu kelas dijadikan kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan Project Based Learning, sedangkan kelas lainnya menjadi kelompok kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional (ekspositori). Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan instrumen non-tes yang mencakup variabel "gaya belajar" dan instrumen tes yang terdiri dari soal pre-test dan post-test. Pengukuran hasil tes dilakukan dengan memanfaatkan rubrik untuk mengevaluasi kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Untuk menjawab hipotesis 1, digunakan uji Mann Whitney yang memperoleh nilai sig. (p-value) sebesar 0,00 < 0,05 sehingga terbukti bahwa PjBL lebih efektif daripada model Ekspositori. Begitu pula pada hipotesis 2, masih menggunakan uji yang sama, yaitu Mann Whitney, yang memperoleh hasil nilai sig. = 0,02 < 0,05 sehingga membuktikan bahwa PjBL lebih efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar dibandingkan dengan model ekspositori. Sedangkan untuk membuktikan hipotesis 3, maka digunakan uji Anova (2 jalur) yang memperoleh nilai sig. = 0,390 > 0,05, menandakan bahwa interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap daya kritis tidak signifikan. Begitupula dalam merespon hipotesis 4, dengan menggunakan uji Anova (2 jalur) menghasilkan nilai sig. = 0,137 > 0,05, yang berarti bahwa interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar tidak signifikan.

Abstract

Online learning has its perks and challenges to student learning outcomes. This study aims to develop educational products that meet the validity, effectiveness, and practicality criteria in the form of scrapbooks and videos on Tu web (Web-based Tutorial) for the Statistics Education course to tackle these negative impacts. In this developmental research, field tests were conducted on 83 Open University students from three different study groups in East Java. The development stages started from planning, exploratory studies, initial product development, expert validation, and initial field tests had been carried out in the previous year. The instruments used in this research are Tutorial Activity Design, Tutorial Activity Unit, scrapbook, video, student response questionnaire, and final test. The results showed that students responded positively to the use of these products in the Tuweb of Statistics Education courses. Since all students solved problems in the scrapbook, the product met the practicality criteria. Furthermore, the average student learning outcomes were 82.17 with a minimum of 70, better than students who did not participate in the study. Therefore, these products met the effectiveness criteria. As the research has demonstrated, the scrapbooks and videos developed can improve student learning outcomes in the Statistics Education course.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the validity, practicability and effectiveness of LKPD based on learning outside the classroom. This type of research is R&D using the ADDIE model with stages, including analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation. The research subjects were students in classes VIA, B, C at SDN Tanggul Wetan 02, Tanggul District, Jember Regency. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests and documentation. The data analysis method used is preliminary data analysis, observation and interview data in preliminary research are analyzed using comparative analysis. Analysis of LKPD validity data, LKPD practicality data analysis, effectiveness data analysis. The results of the research showed that the validity of the syllabus, lesson plans, LKPD, teaching materials, learning outcomes tests was obtained in the mode value category 4 with an average reliability of above 89% and was declared valid/suitable for use. The practicality of LKPD development based on the assessment results of three observers in three classes stated that the LKPD developed was very practical and was at 89.62% to 90.69%. The effectiveness of developing LKPD based on out-of-class learning based on the N-Gain results obtained from the pre-test and post-test in classes A, B, and C was obtained in the high category, so it can be stated that LKPD based on out-of-class learning is declared effective and can be used. improve inquiry abilities and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model and emotional intelligence on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri. The research method used is experimental with a post-test only control group design. The research subjects are fifth-grade students at SDN Ki Hajar Dewantara, Cilincing District. The research instruments include mathematics learning outcomes tests and emotional intelligence questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using t-tests and multiple regression. The results show that the PjBL model and emotional intelligence significantly affect students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Literacy skills are one of the important aspects of education in Indonesia that should be prioritized from the primary level. Science literacy and numeracy to build critical thinking skills and help face global challenges in the 21st century. This study aims to analyze the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model with digital learning media on science literacy and numeracy skills of fifth-grade students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah in East Java Province through a quasi-experimental method. Through cluster random sampling, 61 students were assigned to three research classes: two experimental and one control group. Test questions, questionnaires, observation sheets, and interviews were used as instruments in this study. Data processing was done using a normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing using ANOVA. The study results showed a significant value of 0.000 for science literacy and 0.005 for numeracy literacy. Based on the test results of science literacy and numeracy skills, the average value of the class given the PjBL model learning with digital-based learning media is superior to other research classes. So, the PjBL model with digital-based learning media affects students' science literacy and numeracy skills.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pembelajaran berbasis mind mapping terhadap minat dan hasil belajar bangun datar peserta didik kelas V. Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan konsep true experimental design dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi yang digunakan seluruh peserta didik Kelas V SD Negeri Telukan 2 Kecamatan Grogol Tahun Pelajaran 2020/2021 sejumlah 57 peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh, sehingga populasi dijadikan sampel. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan meliputi perangkat belajar, angket dan tes. Teknis analisis data dengan uji ANAVA dua jalan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pembelajaran berbasis problem based learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata sebesar 86,34, sedangkan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar Matematika dengan pembelajaran berbasis mind mapping sebesar 77,57 dan uji t diperoleh nilai thitung (2,714) dan p (0,009) < 0,05. Kesimpulan, terdapat perbedaan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan pembelajaran berbasis mind mapping terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi bangun datar peserta didik kelas V.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether Project Based Learning (PjBL) and learning motivation on students' critical reasoning abilities in the Science Material of Forms of Substances and Their Changes at SD Muhammadiyah Terpadu Ponorogo partially or simultaneously. The population in this study were all fourth grade students at the Ponorogo Integrated Muhammadiyah Elementary School which consisted of 5 groups with a total of 130 students, while the sample was taken from 2 groups using random sampling to obtain a sample of 52 students. This research instrument uses a questionnaire for the variable implementation of Project Based Learning (PjBL) and student learning motivation, and uses a test for the variable students' critical reasoning abilities. Data analysis uses partial and simultaneous correlational analysis. For statistical testing, the SPSS version 25.0 program was used. The results of the research concluded that the application of Project Based Learning (PjBL) and student learning motivation had a very strong influence, both partially and simultaneously, on students' critical reasoning abilities in the Science Material of Forms of Substances and Their Changes at the Ponorogo Integrated Muhammadiyah Elementary School.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of GeoGebra-based mathematics learning media on the critical thinking skills of 11th-grade high school students in the topic of geometric transformations. The research employed the ADDIE development model, consisting of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. During the analysis stage, interviews and pre-tests were conducted to identify students' needs and assess their initial abilities. The design stage involved creating GeoGebra-based learning media, developing assessment instruments, and designing lesson plans (RPP) using the PMRI model. In the development stage, the learning media were validated by media and content experts and tested on students of class XI MIPA 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Bangorejo. The implementation stage consisted of two sessions for teaching and testing. The evaluation stage included analyzing pre-test and post-test results using N-gain tests, normality tests, homogeneity tests, and paired sample t-tests. The results showed that the GeoGebra-based learning media achieved an excellent level of validity, with media validity at 95% and content validity at 85%. Furthermore, the media were rated as highly practical by students, with an average questionnaire score of 85%. The N-gain test indicated a "moderately effective" category with an average score of 56%. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.000, demonstrating a significant improvement in students' critical thinking skills after using the media. Thus, it can be concluded that GeoGebra-based mathematics learning media are valid, practical, effective, and positively impact students' critical thinking skills in geometric transformations.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a Desmos-assisted module and implement it through Problem-Based Learning (PBM) to improve the mathematical communication and representation skills of ninth-grade students. The research employed the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Validation by three experts resulted in an average validity score of 90.42%, indicating that the module is highly valid. Student response questionnaires yielded an average score of 4.03 out of 5, suggesting that the module is practical to use. Student improvement was measured through pretests and posttests. The average pretest scores for communication and representation skills were 66.93 and 63.41, respectively, which increased to 92.39 and 90.72 in the posttest. The N-Gain score of 0.78 indicates a high level of improvement. These results show that using the Desmos-assisted module in PBM is effective in enhancing students’ mathematical communication and representation skills. Therefore, the developed module is feasible for use in mathematics learning at the ninth-grade level.
