Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited research examining the contribution of face recognition-based attendance systems to improving the accuracy and effectiveness of teacher attendance management in schools. In addition, manual and fingerprint-based attendance systems still face several limitations, including data manipulation, inefficient recording processes, and limited real-time monitoring. Therefore, SMK Negeri 2 Paguyaman implemented a face recognition-based attendance system through the Mo’olohu application. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the system in improving the accuracy and effectiveness of teacher attendance. A qualitative case study approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation involving the principal, teachers, the operator, and administrative staff. The findings revealed that the system improved attendance accuracy through biometric identification, reducing the potential for attendance manipulation. It also enhanced attendance management effectiveness by enabling real-time recording, easier monitoring, and integrated attendance data for discipline evaluation. However, challenges related to internet connectivity, lighting conditions, and user adaptation were still encountered. Overall, the system contributed positively to improving teacher attendance management. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih terbatasnya kajian yang mengkaji kontribusi sistem presensi berbasis face recognition terhadap peningkatan akurasi dan efektivitas pengelolaan kehadiran guru di sekolah. Selain itu, sistem presensi manual maupun fingerprint masih memiliki berbagai kelemahan, seperti potensi manipulasi data, kurang efisien dalam pencatatan kehadiran, dan keterbatasan pemantauan secara real time. Oleh karena itu, SMK Negeri 2 Paguyaman menerapkan sistem presensi berbasis face recognition melalui aplikasi Mo'olohu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan sistem tersebut dalam meningkatkan akurasi dan efektivitas kehadiran guru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi yang melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru, operator, dan staf tata usaha. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu meningkatkan akurasi pencatatan kehadiran melalui identifikasi biometrik yang lebih valid sehingga meminimalkan potensi manipulasi absensi. Selain itu, sistem meningkatkan efektivitas pengelolaan kehadiran melalui pencatatan real time, kemudahan monitoring, dan penyediaan data terintegrasi untuk evaluasi kedisiplinan guru. Meskipun masih terdapat kendala berupa gangguan jaringan internet, pencahayaan, dan adaptasi pengguna, secara keseluruhan sistem memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengelolaan kehadiran guru.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji sejauh mana peran penerapan apersepsi dalam mempengaruhi kesiapan siswa dalam pembelajaran ekonomi di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo. Studi ini menerapkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui survei, Pengolahan data. dilakukan menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. dengan bantuan perangkat lunak statistik Informasi dikumpulkan langsung dari responden melalui kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada siswa di kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo yang berlokasi di Jalan Poigar No. 26, Kelurahan Molosipat, Kecamatan Sipatana, Kota Gorontalo. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan apersepsi yang dilakukan oleh guru memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kesiapan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi menunjukan koefisiensi determinasi sebasar 0,444, yang mengindikasikan bahwa 44,4% variasi kesiapan siswa dijelaskan oleh penerapan apersepsi guru. Hal ini menandakan pegaruh positif antara penerapan apersepsi guru terhadap kesiapan belajar siswa, sementara 55,6% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain di luar penelitian ini

Abstract

The objective of this present Research was to determine to what extent the effect of the bidikmisi scholarship program funds on students’ learning achievement at the Departement of Economics Education, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, Class of 2018. This Research employed a quantitative approach using aquantitative correlaional method with a sampel of 81 students. At the same time, the data collection techniques used in this Research Wet observation, interviews, questionnairess, and documentation, while the data analysis technique was simple linear regression. The Research dinding based on hypothesis testing indicated that the Bidikmisi scholarsip had a positive effect on students’ learning achievement at the Departement of Economics Education with a correlation coefficient value indicating a low level of correlation and the value of the coefficient of determination indicating the percentage level of the effect of the Bidikmisi scholarsip variable on students’ learning achievement of 13,7%.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the Influence of Village Funds on the Poverty Level in Sidomukti Village, Mootilango Sub-discrict, Gorontalo Regency. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey research method. The primary data were obtained from distributing questionnaires to the recipient of Village Fund Assistance in Sidomukti Village, Mootilango Sub-district, Gorontalo Regency. The samples were 52 respondents, while the data analysis applied simple linear regression.The results show that,Village Funds influence the Poverty Level in Sidomukti Village, Mootilango Sub-district, Gorontalo Regency.The influence of Village funds on the Poverty Level is 24,9%, while the remaining 75,1% is influenced by variables not examined in this current study.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether fishermen's income has an influence on the purchasing power of coastal communities in Kayubulan Village, Batudaa Pantai Subdistrict. This study employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a sample size of 37 households. The instrument used was a questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the data analysis indicate that fishermen's income has a significant influence on the purchasing power of the community. The contribution of fishermen's income to purchasing power is 33.3%, while the remaining 66.7% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study,

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether there is any effect of the Role Playing Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes in Social Science for Class VII at SMP 3 Paguyaman.This is a descriptive quantitative research with a sample size of 34. The instrument used was a questionnaire,and data analysis technique used was simple linear regression analysis. Based on the data analysis results,it was found that there is a significant effect of the Role-Playing Learning Model on Student Learning Outcomes at 37.1%, while the remaining 62.9% was affected by other variables not studied in this research.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on Social Studies learning outcomes at SMP Negeri 1 Atinggola in North Gorontalo, Indonesia. Conducted over four months with 65 Grade VIII students, the research used a quantitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed with SPSS v20.0. Results show a positive and significant effect of PBL on academic achievement, with a t-count of 5.212 and R² of 0.301. The equation (Ŷ = 53.445 + 0.531X) indicates each increase in PBL implementation improved scores by 0.531 points. Students displayed greater motivation, participation, and engagement. Observations and interviews supported these findings, revealing enhanced autonomy and relevance of learning. This study confirms that PBL is an effective strategy for Social Studies, aligning with national curriculum goals like Merdeka Belajar and Profil Pelajar Pancasila. It offers practical insights for improving student-centered learning and contributes to research on active learning strategies.

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between teacher professional competence and student learning activity among Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Bonepantai, Indonesia. While policy frameworks emphasize competence-based instruction, challenges remain in translating this into active student engagement, particularly in under-resourced contexts. Employing a quantitative descriptive–correlational design, the study gathered data from 64 respondents using validated and reliable Likert-scale instruments. Instrument testing confirmed high validity (r > 0.412) and reliability (α = 0.923 for competence and 0.922 for activity). Descriptive findings revealed high average scores for both teacher competence (4.34) and student learning activity (4.45). Regression analysis produced the model Ŷ = 24.291 + 0.730X, with a significant positive effect (t = 6.267 > t-table = 1.669; p < 0.05) and R² = 0.388, indicating that competence explains 38.8% of the variation in student activity. Strongest indicators included creative material development and student group discussions, while the lowest were contextualization and opinion expression. These findings confirm theoretical assumptions that professional competence enhances learner participation and underscore the need for CPD focused on culturally responsive and dialogic teaching. The study contributes to empirical knowledge on instructional quality in Indonesian secondary education and invites further research using multivariate approaches to examine the remaining variance in student engagement.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship-oriented learning in vocational schools requires instructional approaches that promote active inquiry, practical competence, and meaningful engagement. This study examined the effect of problem-based learning on Grade XI students’ learning outcomes in Creative Products and Entrepreneurship at SMK Negeri 4 Gorontalo. A quantitative, causal design was used with total sampling of 32 students. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and supporting documentation, and were analysed using simple linear regression with assumption checking through a residual normality test. Results show that students perceived problem-based learning implementation as very strong across its core stages, and learning outcomes were similarly rated very highly across cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains. The regression model indicates a positive association between problem-based learning and learning outcomes, supported by a statistically significant coefficient. The relationship is strong, and the model explains more than half of the variance in learning outcomes, suggesting that problem-based learning is a substantial instructional contributor to entrepreneurship-related attainment in this context. Nonetheless, a meaningful proportion of outcome variance remains linked to other influences. These findings indicate that consistent implementation of problem-based learning can improve vocational students’ entrepreneurial learning outcomes and that optimisation efforts should be complemented by supportive conditions such as adequate learning facilities and motivational supports.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran efektif terhadap minat belajar siswa kelas VIII dan IX pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di SMP Negeri 4 Tabukan Utara Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian asosiatif kausal. Populasi sekaligus sampel penelitian berjumlah 48 siswa yang ditentukan melalui teknik sampling jenuh. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket dengan skala Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa analisis statistik deskriptif menunjukkan media pembelajaran berada pada kategori baik hingga sangat baik, sedangkan minat belajar siswa berada pada kategori baik. Selanjutnya, hasil analisis regresi linier sederhana dan uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap minat belajar siswa. Temuan ini membuktikan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran yang relevan, mudah digunakan, dan menarik mampu meningkatkan rasa senang, perhatian, ketertarikan, serta keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran IPS Di Smp Negeri 4 Tabukan Utara Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang efektif memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa.
