Abstract

The use of Academic Information Systems (SIAKAD) in higher education has become an essential part of supporting students’ academic activities. However, in practice, several issues are still encountered, such as slow system performance, system errors, and less responsive services, which may affect student satisfaction as users. This study aims to examine the effect of system quality and academic service quality of SIAKAD on student satisfaction. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 120 students from the Undergraduate Program of Office Administration Education at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, and were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results show that both system quality and service quality have a significant effect on student satisfaction, both partially and simultaneously. This indicates that better system performance and service quality lead to higher levels of student satisfaction. Based on these findings, SIAKAD administrators are expected to continuously improve and develop the system as well as enhance service quality to better support students’ academic needs. ABSTRAK Penggunaan Sistem Informasi Akademik (SIAKAD) di perguruan tinggi menjadi bagian penting dalam mendukung kegiatan akademik mahasiswa. Namun, dalam pelaksanaannya masih ditemukan beberapa kendala, seperti sistem yang lambat, error, serta layanan yang belum sepenuhnya responsif, yang dapat memengaruhi tingkat kepuasan mahasiswa sebagai pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kualitas sistem dan kualitas layanan akademik SIAKAD terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang dilakukan kepada 120 mahasiswa Program Studi S1 Pendidikan Administrasi Perkantoran Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas sistem dan kualitas layanan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kepuasan mahasiswa, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin baik kualitas sistem dan layanan yang diberikan, maka kepuasan mahasiswa juga akan meningkat. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, pengelola SIAKAD diharapkan dapat terus melakukan perbaikan dan pengembangan sistem serta meningkatkan kualitas layanan agar dapat mendukung kebutuhan akademik mahasiswa secara optimal.

Abstract

Digital archival management is an important element in supporting the effectiveness of office administration in the modern era. The transformation from a manual archive system to an electronic archive provides significant changes in the process of storing as well as managing documents. PT. Jepe Press Media Utama Surabaya is the object of this research. The focus of this research is to understand the management of digital archives used by PT. Jepe Press Media Utama Surabaya. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and interviews, while the data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that: 1) The availability of electronic records has been supported by digital storage facilities and systems that are easily accessible to employees, 2) The use of digital records provides substantive benefits in the form of increased efficiency in document tracing and savings in physical storage space, 3) The majority of employees are able to operate the digital archive system well, even though there are still certain technical obstacles, such as storage limitations.

Abstract

Public relations (PR) plays a strategic role in the successful dissemination of the New Student Admissions Program (PPDB) at private educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the public relations strategy used in the PPDB program dissemination at Santo Yusup High School (SMK Santo Yusup) based on the public relations strategy indicators outlined by Kotler and Keller. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires as supporting data. The data were analyzed inductively to identify patterns and meaning within the information obtained. The results indicate that Santo Yusup High School has implemented all seven public relations strategy indicators. However, the public relations strategy still needs to be optimized, as most people learn about the school through recommendations from individuals already familiar with the school. The conclusions of this study are expected to provide guidance for school public relations practitioners, maximizing the role of alumni through digital communication tools such as WhatsApp or Telegram groups and creating inspirational content with alumni on YouTube or Instagram Reels platforms to broaden their reach to a broader audience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji penerapan manajemen perbekalan pada Bakpia Djava Yogyakarta, UKM pangan tradisional yang telah bertahan lebih dari dua puluh tahun. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data primer diperoleh dari kunjungan industri pada 6 Juni 2026 berupa observasi langsung proses produksi, praktik pembuatan bakpia, dan wawancara, serta data sekunder dari 25 artikel ilmiah terbitan 2020-2025 tentang manajemen perbekalan dan UKM pangan tradisional. Data dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña (2014) melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi, dengan triangulasi sumber untuk menjaga validitas. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kelima dimensi manajemen perbekalan (perencanaan, pengadaan, penyimpanan, distribusi, dan pengendalian kualitas) masih dilaksanakan secara informal. Perencanaan permintaan bersifat adaptif harian-mingguan mengikuti jumlah wisatawan, pengadaan bahan baku rentan fluktuasi harga akibat ketergantungan pada pemasok informal, dan penyimpanan yang secara fisik memadai namun masih mengandalkan pencatatan manual menghasilkan selisih stok 8-12% per bulan berdasarkan hasil observasi dan data internal perusahaan. Distribusi mempertimbangkan masa simpan produk tujuh hari, dengan rasio cacat produk 2-3% berdasarkan data produksi perusahaan, sedikit di atas ambang ideal ≤2%. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa keberlangsungan usaha Bakpia Djava selama ini lebih ditopang oleh pengetahuan tacit dan adaptabilitas operasional dibanding sistem formal, sehingga formalisasi praktik ke dalam prosedur operasional baku tertulis menjadi kebutuhan mendesak untuk menjaga keberlanjutan usaha ke depan

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the strategies used in digitalization to improve the image of East Java Bappeda. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques using interviews and observation. The informants in this research were employees of the multimedia division who also have public relations roles and already have experience in this field. The indicators used in this research are fact-finding, planning, action and communication, and evaluation. The research results show that public relations at East Java Bappeda is more active in utilizing digital media, such as Instagram and websites, to improve the agency's image. The strategies implemented by prioritizing aspects of information disclosure according to facts packaged using post designs that are attractive, contemporary and have philosophical value are actually quite effective. However, in terms of engagement statistics, Instagram is considered to be less effective in attracting people's activity, and the same goes for the website. Nevertheless, a comprehensive evaluation can help the Public Relations of East Java Bappeda to improve, reorganize, and innovate in creating more optimal strategies in an effort to maintain a positive reputation, improve the image, and strengthen public trust in East Java Bappeda.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), has had a positive impact on enhancing learning effectiveness. However, this progress also poses a challenge for the education sector to better understand the role and contribution of AI in achieving educational objectives and fostering scientific development. Training programs on artificial intelligence for teachers serve as an effective means to strengthen their competencies in integrating AI applications into classroom instruction. Through such training, teachers are expected to enhance students’ learning motivation and engagement. This community service activity was conducted at IPIEMS Vocational High School Surabaya and involved 33 participants consisting of Vocational High School teachers from the Office Management Automation Study Program and lecturers from the Undergraduate Office Administration Education Study Program, Universitas Negeri Surabaya. The training was implemented through a combination of lectures and hands-on practice sessions using AI tools. The results showed a highly positive response from the participants. Regarding the relevance of training materials to participants’ needs, 51.5% rated it as very good; for material comprehensibility and applicability, 45.5% rated it as very good; for the clarity and systematic delivery of materials, 69.7% rated it as very good; for the presenters’ mastery of the material, 72.7% rated it as very good; and for the clarity and satisfaction of answers during the discussion sessions, 51.5% rated it as very good. The participants demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the training and expressed their interest in participating in similar programs in the future to continuously support the sustainable integration of artificial intelligence in education

Abstract

Pendekatan pembelajaran yang hanya berfokus pada teori tidak lagi memadai untuk menumbuhkan literasi sains dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas pelaksanaan program Asistensi Laboratorium IPA di SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo 1 Surabaya dengan fokus pada penerapan media interaktif PhET Simulation dan PowerPoint interaktif dalam pembelajaran materi bentuk dan perubahan energi kelas IV. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menelaah berbagai sumber ilmiah yang relevan terkait asistensi mengajar dan inovasi media pembelajaran IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan PhET Simulation sebagai laboratorium virtual mampu membantu siswa memahami konsep energi secara visual dan konkret melalui pengalaman belajar interaktif. Sementara itu, PowerPoint interaktif berperan dalam memperkuat penyajian materi dan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa melalui tampilan multimedia yang menarik. Kombinasi kedua media ini menciptakan suasana belajar yang aktif, kolaboratif, dan menyenangkan, sekaligus meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual dan motivasi belajar siswa. Selain memberikan dampak positif bagi siswa, kegiatan asistensi laboratorium juga memperkuat kompetensi pedagogik dan profesional mahasiswa dalam merancang pembelajaran inovatif berbasis teknologi. Secara keseluruhan, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi program asistensi laboratorium IPA dengan media PhET dan PowerPoint interaktif efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar, terutama pada kondisi keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the intense competition in the workforce faced by students due to their low level of job readiness. This study aims to analyze the influence of technological proficiency and internship experience on the job readiness of Office Administration Education students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. This study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research method. The population consisted of 187 students from the 2022 cohort, with a sample of 126 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through multiple linear regression using SPSS version 26. The results show that technological proficiency has a significant effect on job readiness (Sig. 0.037), as does internship experience (Sig. 0.000). Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on job readiness, contributing 62.1%. Thus, the better a student's technological proficiency and internship experience, the higher their readiness to face the workforce. Future research is recommended to add other variables such as self-efficacy and work motivation

Abstract

This study was motivated by the declining interest in becoming a teacher among Office Administration Education students at Universitas Negeri Surabaya. It aims to analyze the influence of self-confidence and self-regulated learning on students' interest in becoming a teacher. A quantitative explanatory approach was used, with a questionnaire distributed to 126 students selected through proportional stratified random sampling from a population of 187 students, analyzed using multiple linear regression together with validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. The results show that self-confidence has a negative but not significant effect on interest in becoming a teacher, whereas self-regulated learning has a positive and significant effect. Simultaneously, both variables significantly affect interest in becoming a teacher, with an Adjusted R-square of 0.076, indicating that the two variables explain 7.6% of the variance in interest in becoming a teacher, while the remaining 92.4% is explained by other factors outside the model.
