Abstract

Research aims: This study aims to analyze the effect of organizational support and emotional intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) through employee organizational commitment.Design/Methodology/Approach: This research was conducted in the Central Bureau of Statistics in Medan City with a population of 100 permanent partner employees. Using non-probability sampling, the entire population became the research sample. Meanwhile, the analysis technique employed path analysis.Research findings: The results proved that organizational support and emotional intelligence had a significant effect directly on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and indirectly through employees' organizational commitment. In other words, increased organizational support and emotional intelligence of employees will intensify the level of employee organizational commitment, raising the level of organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and vice versa. In this case, organizational support strongly predicts employees’ high organizational commitment. Theoretical contribution/Originality: Further research that explores other predictors needs to be carried out with more significant respondents to generalize the findings better.Practitioner/Policy implication: It is essential to provide more intensive organizational support to employees since this variable is a strong organizational predictor of generating a superior level of employee organizational commitment. Organizations also need to conduct in-depth personality tests to detect the level of individual emotional intelligence of employees who work in the field and interact with the community for better work effectiveness.Research limitation/Implication: The limited number of population and samples in the agency is a limitation of the study to generalize the findings better.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the impact of human resource quality on employ­ee performance, with work stress as a mediating variable in the sales division of PT Astra Toyota Auto 2000 Medan. This causal research employed a quantitative ap­pro­ach. The population for this study consisted of 125 individuals, with a total sam­ple size of 125. The sampling method used was saturated sampling. The data ana­ly­sis techniques utilized included test sobel and multiple linear regression, with the assistance of SPSS Statistics version 26. The findings of this study indicated that the variable of human resource quality had a positive and significant effect on both work stress and employee performance. Work stress had a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Both human resource quality and work stress sig­ni­fi­cantly influenced employee perform­ance. Furthermore, the work stress variable could mediate the impact of human resource quality on employee performance. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas sumber daya manusia pada kinerja karyawan dengan stres kerja sebagai variabel mediasi pada divisi sales PT Astra Toyota Auto 2000 Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kausal dengan pendekatan ku­antitatif. Populasi dalam penelian ini berjumlah 125 orang dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 125 orang. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah sampel jenuh. Teknik analisis data yang di­gu­nakan adalah Sobel test dan regresi linear berganda dengan menggunakan alat bantu SPSS Statistics versi 26. Hasil pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel kualitas sumber da­ya manusia berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada stres kerja dan kinerja karyawan. Stres ker­ja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada kinerja karyawan. kualitas sumber daya ma­nu­sia dan stres kerja berpengaruh signifikan pada kinerja karyawan. Variabel stres kerja mampu memediasi pengaruh kualitas sumber daya manusia pada kinerja karyawan.
