Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Alphabet Fishing game on the letter recognition ability of children in group A. This research is quantitative with an experimental method and uses a pre-test and post-test research design involving tests administered before and after the intervention. The study subjects consisted of 15 children in group A at TK Permata Sunnah Kindergarten, Gorontalo City. The object of this research was to improve the letter recognition ability of group A children through the Alphabet Fishing game. Data collection for one group pretest posttest design was carried out using research instruments. Data analysis was conducted using statistical data processing techniques. The results showed a significant difference in children's average letter recognition ability before and after the intervention, as evidenced by the pre-test and post-test scores of 13.8 and 26.8, respectively. These results demonstrated a significant effect of the intervention. Based on the t-test results, the significance test yielded tcount of 17.00, while the ttable value (α = 0.05) is 2.131. Since tcount > ttabel ; 17,00 > 2,131, H0 was rejected, and H1 was accepted. This indicated that the Alphabet Fishing game significantly affects the letter recognition ability of group A children at TK Permata Sunnah Kindergarten. In conclusion, there is a significant difference in group A children's ability to recognize letters in the pre-test and post-test data. Thus, variable x has an effect on variable y.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the roles of parents and teachers in shaping the spiritual character of early childhood students at TK (Public Kindergarten) Pembina, Kota Timur Subdustrict, Gorontalo City. This This Study utilized a descriptive qualitative method focusing on the roles of parents and teachers in fostering the spiritual character of early childhood. The subjects comprised 6 parents and 3 teachers from class B at TK (Public Kindergarten) Pembina, Kota Timur Subdustrict, Gorontalo City. The objective is to describe their roles in shaping the spiritual character of early childhood. Data collection techniques employed were observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings illustrate that parents play a significant role in shaping the spiritual character of early childhood through five indicators: (1)Teaching honesty, acknowledging mistakes when made, (2)Teaching courag, fostering bravery and resilience againts fear, (3)Teaching Simplicity:promoting frugal living and moderation, (4)Teaching Responsibility:instilling completion of tasks, and (5)Teaching discipline:establishing simple rules. Additionally, the study highlights that teachers contribute to forming the spiritual character of early childhood throug seven indicators: (1)Educator:instilling norms and ethical values, (2)Instructor:imparting knowledge and insights, (3)Mentor:guiding and directing, (4)Advisor:providing advice and solutions in problem-solving, (5)Coach: training accompanied by praise, (6)ModelExemplar:demonstrating behavior directly, and (7)Motivator:providing encouragement, based on the findings at TK (Public Kindergarten) Pembina, Kota Timur Subdustrict, Gorontalo City, the role of parents in shaping the spiritual character of early childhood is effectively carried out by providing consistent teachings,despite varying daily life examples. Similarly, the role of tecahers in shaping the spiritual character of early childhood Keywords: Parents, Teachers,Charakter Spiritual,Early Childhood is effectively implemented within the school environment by consistenly imparting similar teachings through daily life examples.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh metode discovery learning terhadap kemampuan sains anak yang belum distimulasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 20 sampel, hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan antara pre-test (rata-rata 22,5) dan post-test (rata-rata 47,2). Uji hipotesis (thitung = 18,796 > ttabel = 1,725; sig. 0,000 < 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, yang berarti ada pengaruh signifikan antara Metode Discovery Learning Terhadap Kemampuan Sains Anak Usia 5-6 Tahun Di TK Mawar Desa Toto Utara Kecamatan Tilongkabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango Gorontalo. Abstract

This study aims to describe in depth the teacher's strategy in shaping children's behavior according to religious and moral values ​​in Group B at TK Negeri 01 Al-Icmi, PaguyamanPantai District, Boalemo Regency. The study used a qualitative research method. The subjects of this study were twelve children in Group B and one teacher of Group B at TK Negeri 01 Al-Icmi, PaguyamanPantai District, Boalemo Regency. Data were collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out by data editing, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the strategy has been carried out optimally. Teachers act as good role models through positive behaviors demonstrated every day, such as getting children into the habit of washing their hands before eating, praying together, and maintaining politeness and mutual respect. These habits are not only imitated by students, but also become part of the school routine that supports the development of children's religious and moral values. In addition, the teacher's behavior formation strategy uses several methods, including storytelling, singing, habituation, and role models that are adapted to the characteristics of early childhood development. This method is applied both in daily routine activities and special programs aimed at strengthening children's understanding of religious and moral values.

Abstract

This study is a scholarly work by a student of the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Program, Faculty of Education, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo, supervised by Dra. Rapi Us. Djuko as the first advisor and Mr. Nunung Suryana Jamin, SE, M.Si as the second advisor. The objective of this research is to provide a comprehensive overview of foreign language development achievements among early childhood learners in Group B at TK Nurul Ilmih. The study adopts a qualitative descriptive approach, utilizing observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection methods. A total of 22 children participated as the primary subjects and were actively involved throughout the observation process. The research focused on several linguistic aspects, including language comprehension, verbal expression, basic vocabulary usage, pronunciation ability, and children's responses to bilingual instructions (in both Indonesian and English). The findings indicate that the children’s foreign language development falls within the "developing as expected" category, although it has not yet reached an optimal level. Some children still encounter difficulties in pronouncing English vocabulary, constructing simple sentences, and understanding verbal commands. Several factors influence the progress of their language development, including family background, parenting style, the intensity of teacher-provided stimulation, and habitual exposure to foreign languages in daily school activities. The study concludes that consistent, engaging, and developmentally appropriate stimulation from both teachers and parents plays a crucial role in fostering bilingual proficiency in early childhood.

Abstract

This parenting seminar was designed to increase parents' capacity to understand and implement integrative holistic parenting, encompassing education, health, nutrition, and psychosocial aspects of children. An integrative holistic approach is considered important because child growth and development are influenced not only by formal education but also by health conditions, adequate nutrition, and emotional and social support from the family environment. This activity aims to provide comprehensive education to parents so they can carry out their parenting role optimally and sustainably. The activity was implemented using an interactive seminar method involving the delivery of material by competent speakers in the fields of childcare, education, and health, accompanied by discussions and a question-and-answer session that encouraged active participant participation. The material presented focused on understanding the concept of integrative holistic parenting, strategies for implementing positive parenting patterns, and the role of parents in supporting children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in parents' knowledge, understanding, and attitudes regarding the importance of comprehensive and integrated parenting. Parents became more aware of their role as key figures in shaping character and optimizing children's potential from an early age. This seminar made a real contribution in equipping parents to be able to create a healthy, safe, and supportive parenting environment. This activity is expected to become a model for developing parental capacity in a sustainable manner with an integrative holistic approach as the key to successful child growth and development.

Abstract

This study examines the practice of assessing early childhood art development through a community service program conducted at TK Negeri Pembina Telaga Jaya. The assessment was designed to capture children’s artistic development in a holistic manner, encompassing cognitive, fine motor, social-emotional, affective, and creative aspects. Using direct observation and structured assessment indicators, teachers were guided to evaluate not only the final artwork but also the artistic process, children’s engagement, emotional regulation, and creative expression. The findings indicate that art-based assessment provides rich and authentic data on children’s developmental progress, particularly in creativity, fine motor coordination, and emotional expression. The results also highlight the importance of teachers’ competence in conducting systematic and reflective assessments to support meaningful learning experiences. Moreover, art assessment was found to strengthen children’s motivation, confidence, and participation during learning activities. This study concludes that structured art assessment serves as an effective pedagogical tool that enhances the quality of early childhood education and supports holistic child development, while offering a practical assessment model that can be adapted by other early childhood education institutions.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Kebiasaan Masyarakat Membuang Sampah di Sungai Bulango Dan Dampaknya Terhadap Masyarakat di Desa Boidu Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Jenis Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dampak yang terjadi akibat kebiasaan masyarakat membuang sampah di sungai bulango yakni (1) Terjadinya Banjir, (2) Menurunnya kualitas air minum, (3) Membunuh Biota Air, (4) Menjadi sarang penyakit dan (5) Penumpukan Sampah di dasar sungai.

Abstract

Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Program Sekolah Penggerak di TK Negeri Pembina Limboto Kabupaten Gorontalo. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya program sekolah penggerak ini dapat membawa perubahan bagi sekolah, menjadikan sekolah lebih maju dan berkembang. Pada saat proses belajar mengajar peserta didik lebih aktif dibandingkan guru itu sendiri terdapat P5 (Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila) Dalam program ini didalamnya ada kurikulum merdeka belajar yang dapat menjadikan peserta didik berinofatif, mandiri, kreatif, dan bergotong royong. Sekolah penggerak ini juga didukung dengan adanya alat pembelajaran yang dapat mempermudah guru dalam proses belajar mengajar yaitu platfrom merdeka mengajar, platfrom edukasi yang menyediakan pelatihan mandiri dan berbagai referensi perangkat ajar, seperti alur tujuan pembelajaran, modul ajar dan lain-lain bagi guru untuk mengembangkan praktik mengajar sesuai dengan kurikulum merdeka. Indikator yang digunakan penelit dalam peneltian ini ada lima yaitu, indikator pertama program sekolah penggerak, kedua kriteria sekolah penggerak, ketiga kurikulum sekolah penggerak, keempat sistem pembelajaran sekolah penggerak dan kelima penguatam SDM sekolah penggerak. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuai bagaimana partisipasi pemuda dalam penanggulangan bencana banjir di Desa Dungaliyo, Kecamatan Dungaliyo, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif, dan Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan Teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan: 1). Pra bencana, dilakukanya sosialisasi dalam penggulangan benca pada pemuda, pemuda itu sendiri lebih memahami pentingnya menjaga lingkungan dan tidak hanya menambah wawasan pemuda terhadap penanggulangan bencana banjir, juga meningkatkan partisipasi pemuda pada sebelum, saat bencana dan setelah bencana terjadi. 2). Pada saat bencana, menjadikan pemuda itu sendiri lebih memahami hal apa saja yang harus dilakukan dalam mengambil tindakan pada saat banjir terjadi. Selain itu juga meningkatkan Peran dalam membantu Masyarakat untuk lebih berkonstribusi dalam pengamanan serta memfasilitasi Masyarakat yang terkena dampak. 3). Setelah bencana terjadi atau pasca bencana pemuda itu sendiri sudah mengambil Peran dengan upaya melakukan rehabilitasi lingkukan berupa melakukan penanaman pohon dan menghimbau Masyarakat untuk tidak menebang pohon sembarangan dan membuang sampah di Sungai.
