Abstract

Proses pendidikan di sekolah, guru memegang tugas ganda yaitu sebagai pengajar dan pendidik. Sebagai pengajar guru bertugas menuangkan sejumlah bahan pelajaran kedalam otak peserta didik, sedangkan sebagai pendidik guru bertugas membimbing dan membina anak didik agar menjadi manusia susila yang cakap, aktif, kreatif dan mandiri. Supervise pendidikan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah menjadi bagian terpenting dalam peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik observasi, dokumentasi dan wawancara, informan adalah Kepala sekolah, Peserta didik dan Guru dengan lokus penelitian adalah SD Swasta Santo Xaverius 1 Kabanjahe. Temuan penelitian adalah Pelaksaanaan supervisi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesional guru di Sekolah Dasar Swasta Santo Xaverius 1 Kabanjahe terkhusus guru yang telah sertifikasi sudah terlaksana dengan baik. Kompetensi professional guru itu terlihat karena guru telah menguasai materi pembelajaran yang diajarkan, memanfaatkan Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) dalam mengajar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran seperti laptop, infokus, mendowload media pembelajaran dari internet, memfokuskan ilmu-ilmu yang diajarkan kepada peserta didik sesuai dengan materi atau mata pelajaran yang diajarkan. Guru juga mengembangkan kinerja dirinya dengan mengikuti seminar, penataran dan unit kegiatan guru dan meningkatkan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan cara mendidik peserta didik.

Abstract

Devotion to the Virgin Mary is a sincere and deep-seated act of reverence accompanied by a surrendering attitude towards her. It is an integral part of the Church's faith teachings. Through devotion to the Virgin Mary, believers honor her as the Mother of God, especially considering her role in God's plan for the world through Jesus. One form of devotion to the Virgin Mary is the Rosary, which serves as a means of deepening faith, particularly among mothers. Through communal prayer with the Virgin Mary, mothers strive to emulate her unwavering hope and perfect love, thus becoming models for all believers to follow. In this context, members of the Catholic Women's Association at St. Clare of Assisi Parish in Sirungkungon seek to imitate Mary's faith. Mary serves as a powerful example for mothers, guiding them in deepening their relationship with God. The research findings indicate that engaging in devotion to the Virgin Mary through the Rosary significantly impacts believers' spiritual growth and daily lives, fostering positive outcomes in personal, community, and Church settings

Abstract

The task of the Stasi Pastoral Council in congregational participation is very important for church life for the congregation in the station. The Stasi Pastoral Council functions to develop the church life of the people, providing guidance, direction, motivation for a pastoral approach through visits to the homes of the people so that they are also able to develop their church life through participation in the areas of liturgy, diakonia, coinsonia, kerygma and martyria. People can also understand what their true duties as God's people are, namely, being Imams. Kings and Prophets in a church or in the midst of society. This was done by the Stasi Pastoral Council management to meet the needs of the people at the station, so that their church life could develop and harmonious relations could be established between the station management and the people, as well as in the community

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well marriage counseling employs group dynamics and desensitization techniques to lessen prospective brides' and grooms' anxiety. An ABA design is used in this single-subject study. Four people participated in this study: two prospective brides and two prospective grooms. Descriptive analysis is added to visual analysis, also known as visual inspection, in data analysis. The study's findings demonstrate that systematic desensitization techniques combined with relaxation therapy can effectively lower prospective brides' and grooms' anxiety levels. The outcomes both before and after treatment demonstrate this. Counselors and other caregivers may utilize this method as an alternative to help prospective brides and grooms feel less anxious. Abstract

Students' emotional disorders are still a source of problems in the world of education.  This emotional disorder will influence their future and their adolescence itself. The other researcher has been done some therapy, but it doesn’t work enough to pretend the teenager’s emotional disorder. This research aims to offer a solution to the problem of emotional disorders, especially depression, anxiety, and panic disorders. The solution in question is an emotional therapy called The Heart Technique, which is part of hypnotherapy. The method used is a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach. The subjects of this research were Class XI SOS students at RK Serdang Murni Lubuk Pakam Private High School. SOS 1 class is the experimental class and SOS 2 class is the control class. Data processing was carried out using Excel and SPSS applications. The results of data processing show that the heart technique therapy is effective in reducing students' emotional disorders.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the teaching strategies implemented by Catholic Religious Education (CRE) teachers in developing 21st-century skills, namely Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication (4Cs), at SMAS Katolik Tri Sakti Medan. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive method, this research analyzes how teachers apply teaching methods that encourage active student participation through group discussions, case study-based projects, and the use of visual media. The findings show that the application of teaching strategies based on Piaget’s constructivist theory and Mayer’s multimodal theory successfully creates a dynamic and interactive learning environment. Teachers provide space for students to ask questions, engage in discussions, and critically analyze the material, which supports the development of 4Cs skills. Students’ critical thinking, communication, creativity, and collaboration skills significantly improved through project-based and collaborative learning. Overall, these findings emphasize the importance of innovative and varied teaching approaches in preparing students for the challenges of the 21st century, while maintaining the moral and spiritual values in religious education.

Abstract

Children’s faith formation plays a crucial role in the Church’s mission to instill Christian values from an early age, especially amid digital challenges and limited family support. This study aims to evaluate the Children's Faith Formation program at stasi Santo Thomas Rasul Purba Saribu using the CIPP model (Context, Input, Process, Product). A qualitative approach was employed with data gathered through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that contextually, the program aligns with the Church’s vision and addresses the children’s spiritual needs. In terms of input, the facilitators demonstrated strong dedication despite limited formal catechetical training. The process of activities was carried out regularly, employing various methods that actively engaged the children. From the product aspect, there was an observable improvement in faith knowledge and participation in church life. This study concludes that the CIPP model is effective for evaluating children's faith formation programs comprehensively and can serve as a strategic foundation for developing more impactful and contextually relevant programs.

Abstract

One of the goals of teacher supervision is to improve skills and competencies in classroom learning. So that the purpose of this study is to find out how to improve the basic skills of teaching productive teachers of  Vocational High School Arina through the application of scientific  model supervision with a directive approach. The subjects of this study were 5 (five) productive teachers. The research design used was school action research which was carried out in two cycles. The results showed an increase in each skill from cycle I with an average value of 71 with a sufficient value category to an average score of 87 in the second cycle with a good score category. Thus this action research shows that the application of scientific model supervision with a directive approach can improve the basic skills of teaching productive teachers at Vocational High School Arina Sidikalang.

Abstract

The social competence of Catholic Religious Education teachers has an influence on education because teachers as part of the community are expected to be able to establish good relations with students, colleagues, and the community. This study was conducted to analyze how the role of social competence of Catholic religious education teachers to the motivation of learning students in grade VIII A Private Junior High School Santo Xaverius 2 Kabanjahe with informants as many as 19 people consisting of: Catholic Religious Education Teachers, peers, learners and parents. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results showed that 1) behaving and acting objectively; objective teachers in assessing learning outcomes; act wisely and justly; motivators, facilitators and get along with students. 2) adapt to the environment; can respect; establish intimate relationships full of kinship and eliminate personal interests. 3) communicate effectively; have knowledge of customs both social and religious; and communicate with the local community. 4) empathetic and polite; have an image in the community, care, and manners. 5) Diligent in learning, learners are independent in doing tasks, responsible, have a passion in doing tasks and completing them on time. 6) The existence of awards in learning, getting praise, spirit, and motivation from catholic religious education teachers, 7) The existence of interesting activities in learning, able to answer questions well, complete simulations, and daily exams well, and 8) The existence of a conducive learning environment, having a clean classroom, comfortable, calm atmosphere and complete facilities.

Abstract

Artikel ini merupakan hasil kerja lapangan yang dilakukan di sejumlah pesantren di wilayah Medan. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk rumusan awal masalah, yakni untuk mengeksplorasi proses pendidikan antar budaya dan menemukan mekanisme harmonisasi di sekolah. Yang kedua dibahas tentang berbagai kebijakan yang telah diterapkan untuk menciptakan iklim yang mendorong praktik harmonisasi. Proses harmonisasi ini sangat penting untuk mengembangkan iklim sekolah dan lingkungan belajar yang toleran, damai, dan saling menghargai. Ide kedua yang ingin ditelaah oleh penulis dalam esai ini adalah rencana sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan pendidikan multikultural dengan menggunakan modal sosialnya sendiri. Data yang diperoleh dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dan metodologi studi kasus menunjukkan bahwa sekolah memiliki kewajiban dan harapan berupa visi dan misi yang dapat meningkatkan persatuan menuju sekolah multikultural. Para peneliti sampai pada kesimpulan bahwa sekolah lebih dari sekadar tempat transfer informasi antara guru dan murid di bawah arahan kurikulum. Sekolah juga tempat di masyarakat. Pendidikan sehari-hari termasuk pendidikan antar budaya. Modal sosial yang digunakan adalah modal sosial yang dikemukakan oleh James Coleman, yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing komunitas.
