Abstract

Prospective teacher students must be able to design practicums so that the learning process is meaningful. The skills that students develop in carrying out scientific discoveries, namely applying concepts, rules, and characteristics that exist in science, are called science process skills (SPS). Therefore, in building students' knowledge, students must have process skills in teaching so they can teach effectively and must have a good understanding of concepts and strong process skills. This research aims to describe the SPS of prospective science education teacher students through inorganic chemistry courses after going through learning with the discovery learning model. This research uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design one-shot case study research method. The research results show that student SPS as a whole is in the high category with an average percentage of 59.71%. SPS analysis in classes A, B, and C, respectively, has an average percentage of 58.23%, 62.66%, and 58.24% in the high category. SPS analysis based on gender shows that the respective percentage of male students is 53.89% with the medium category for women and 59.81% for the high category.

Abstract

This research evaluates the value chain and benefit distribution within the goat meat industry in East Java, Indonesia, which is becoming a critical component of the country's livestock sector. A total of 120 goat farmers, three retailers, three wholesalers, twelve intermediaries, three slaughterhouses, three processors, and twelve consumers from three districts in East Java were selected as respondents. Snowball sampling and a purposive approach were employed to gather relevant data. The findings re-vealed two distinct value chains in the goat meat industry, with intermediaries playing a crucial role in both. The shortest value chain involved farmers, intermediaries, and consumers, while longer chains included additional actors such as slaughterhouses. The study found that farmers contributed signifi-cantly to the value chain, and as the chain lengthened, consumers demonstrated a willingness to pay higher prices. These findings indicate that strengthening and growing the goat meat supply chain is cru-cial for the industry's long-term development. Key recommendations include boosting goat production and improving the supply chain's effectiveness to satisfy domestic meat consumption while ensuring fair distribution of benefits among all participants.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) evaluate the potential regional income based on Locally Generated Revenue (PAD) in the Selayar Islands Regency, and (2) analyze effective strategies to increase regional financial capacity. The research employs two approaches, qualitative-descriptive and quantitative-descriptive (post-positivistic). The analysis incorporates both primary and secondary data. The research findings show that the potential of Locally Generated Revenue (PAD) of the Selayar Islands Regency is supported by abundant resources. However, the contribution of PAD remains small and is highly dependent on central government transfers. Although there has been some progress in optimizing local taxes, regional levies, and asset management, it has not yet met the expected targets. This study also found the need for more effective strategies to optimize PAD sources, such as utilizing technology for managing local taxes, revitalizing and managing levies in the service sector, and developing the tourism sector to strengthen the region's financial capacity sustainably.

Abstract

This research is included in the type of explanatory research. This technique uses multiple regression analysis, where the technique will test the hypothesis that there is an influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable. Multiple regression analysis is an analysis of the relationship between one dependent variable and or more independent variables. The objects of this research are product quality, price, and purchasing decisions. The subject of this research is visitors who buy products at BINTANG Market. The types of data used are primary data in the form of questionnaires, and secondary data in the form of documentation information published by the company. The sampling technique used the Slovin formula, so that the sample in this study amounted to 80 respondents or BINTANG Market consumers. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistical analysis, classical assumption test, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study indicate: 1) product quality has a significant effect on purchasing decisions; 2) price has a significant effect on purchasing decisions. 3) The Adjusted R Square value of 0.395 means that 39.5% of purchasing decisions are determined by product and price variables, while the other 60.5% is caused by other variables not examined.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the role of start-ups in driving global economic growth using a quantitative approach. Start-ups, as innovative business actors, are considered capable of increasing productivity, creating new employment opportunities, and accelerating the adoption of digital technology, all of which have a positive impact on national economies. The research also examines the role of venture capital as a crucial funding source that supports the development of start-ups, as well as the influence of digitalisation as a key driver in market expansion and operational efficiency. Moreover, this study explores the differences in start-up contributions between developed and developing countries, which are influenced by infrastructure, policy frameworks, and the quality of human resources. The findings reveal that a supportive ecosystem—such as government policies and the availability of capital—is essential to maximise the contribution of start-ups towards inclusive and sustainable economic growth. This research provides strategic recommendations for policymakers to strengthen the start-up ecosystem in order to face global economic competition.
