Abstract

One of the responsibilities in managing educational units is the use of information technology. This study aims to determine the strategy for using information technology in MTsN 2 West Aceh. This research is field research (field research, with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and document studies. Data processing techniques are carried out by data reduction, data presentation (data display), and data verification (conclusion drawing). The results showed that: 1) strategies for providing information technology by budgeting funds and procuring information technology software and hardware, 2) strategies for training and controlling school apparatus by guiding, fostering and involving madrasah apparatus to attend training, seminars and webinars to develop competence in the use of information technology, 3) information technology asset management strategies by maintaining and take care so that it is not easily damaged, and inventory information technology assets into the State Property (BMN) report.

Abstract

In this era of globalization, the role of madrasah principals determines the quality of education services. This study aims to determine the role of madrasah principals in organizing to improve educational services. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques are done through observation, interviews, and document studies. At the same time, data processing techniques use Sugiyono's theory by reducing data (data reduction), presenting data (data display), and verifying data (concluding). The results showed that the role of the madrasah head in organizing towards improving educational services is to determine the work specialization or duties of teachers and employees, clarify the delegation of authority and responsibility of teachers and employees, and tighten control of the chain of command of the hierarchical structure or the position and function of teachers and employees in the madrasah. The results of this study can be recommended to the Head of the District/City Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs to strengthen the organization and the leadership of madrasah principals to improve the quality of education services.

Abstract

The implementation of supervision plays an important role in the world of education, especially related to improving and enhancing the personality competence of teachers. This study aims to determine the planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up of madrasah head supervision in improving the personality competence of teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) Negeri 4 West Aceh. This research uses a qualitative approach with research subjects as many as 5 informants. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation, while data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing or data verification flow. The results of this study indicate that: 1) the planning of madrasah head supervision in improving teachers' personality competence is carried out through meetings with the entire board of teachers, preparation of the supervision agenda (supervision schedule), division of tasks and socialization of supervision instruments related to fostering teacher personality. 2) the implementation of madrasah head supervision in improving teachers' personality competence is carried out by conducting classroom visits, conducting observations, guiding teachers' personalities, holding meetings, group discussions and holding trainings. 3) Evaluation and follow-up of supervision results in improving teachers' personality competence is carried out in the form of an assessment from the madrasah head to the teacher, assessment among fellow teachers and assessment from students
