This study is purposed to describe educational values included in Eliana, the novel, which are character, intelligence, social and family prosperity educations. This study is qualitative with descriptive method, and content analysis technique. Data in the analysis is novelâ€™s elements that contain educational values. Data source is Eliana, the novel, written by Tere-Liye. This novel is published by Republika, first edition on January 2011 in Jakarta. Data collected gradually: first, read Eliana, the novel, written by Tere-Liye; second, remark sections that explain educational values; third, note data that related to educational values; and fourth, inventorying data in form.Â Based on results of Eliana, the novel, structure, these show that: (1) 19 behaviors of an actor contain character education, such as delivering order or message, honest, patient, modest, brave, sincere, and grateful; (2) 8 behaviors of an actor contain intelligence education, such as logical and creative thinking; (3) 7 behaviors of an actor contain social education, such as friendly, helping each other, respect and appreciate; and (4) 16 behaviors of an actor contain family prosperity education, such as children upbringing and household implementation.

This study aims to (1) describe the types of speech acts courtesy clerk in serving consumers when buying and selling bertansaksi Bookstore Sari Orchids in Padang. (2) identify the principles of politeness used salesclerk in serving consumers based on linguistic politeness. This research is a qualitative study using descriptive because this study aimed to describe the data obtained from the field or informants. The data captured on the "linguistic politeness in Serving Buyers Clerk Bookstore Padang Sari Orchid". The research data is linguistic politeness in Serving Buyers Clerk Bookstore Sari Orchid Padang. Data were analyzed with data analysis techniques as follows: (1) identifying and classifying the speech acts used clerk ilokusi in serving consumers. (2) analyze the types of speech acts and politeness in speech acts saleswoman consumers. (3) menabulisasikan speech acts and politeness in.

This article was written to describe vocabulary of student, ability to write expository narrative, relation mastery of vocabulary with mastery ofÂ write expository narrative. This research method is deskriptive. Data in this research is objectives result test for means vocabulary of ability student and performance tests in the form of write expository narrative essay for means of ability student to write expository narrative. Based on result of research, congcludes three things. First, mastery of vocabulary is at more than enough qualification (71,92). Second, ability to write expository narrative is at good qualification(81,55).third, there is significant relationship between mastery of vocabulary and mastery write expository narrative.

The purposes of this studi were (1) to explain the ability of reading comprehension of students of class X 5 SMAN Padang, (2) to explain the ability to write discourse exposition of students of class X 5 SMAN Padang and (3) to analyze the relationship between ability to read understanding and the ability to write discourse exposition students. The methods used in this study is a method of correlation studies. Based on the results of research it was concluded the following points. First, the ability of reading comprehension of students of class X 5 SMAN Padang are on the qualifications is more than enough (68,9). Second, the ability to write an exposition on the qualifications of discourse of students of class X 5 SMAN Padang either (79,58). Third, there are a significant relation exists between ability to read the understanding with the ability to write discourse exposition of students of class X 5 SMAN Padang.

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the type of speech act Indonesian teachers SMAN 2 Lintau Buo in teaching and learning, (2) describe the principle of linguistic politeness Indonesian teachers SMAN 2 Lintau Buo during the learning process takes place. The research data is used utterances Indonesian teachers in teaching and learning at SMAN 2 Lintau Buo. The data source of this study is three Indonesian teachers. Data collected by the techniques involved ably refer freely and technique note. The findings of the study as follows. First, there are five kinds of speech acts used by Indonesian teachers SMA Negeri 2 Lintau Buo, namely (1) directive, (2) representative, (3) the declaration, (4) commissive, (5) expressive. Secondly, the kind of politeness maxims used there are four, namely (1) wisdom, (2) generosity, (3) praise, and (4) compatibility.

This study aimed to describe the following three things. First, it describes the critical reading skills class XI student of SMA Negeri 1 Kinali. Second, describe the writing skills of students of class XI argument SMA Negeri 1 Kinali. Third, analyze the relationship between students' critical reading skills with the ability to write a class XI student argumentation SMA Negeri 1 Kinali. Data collection was conducted through two tests, the objective tests and performance tests. Analyzing the data is done in accordance with the application of the concept of descriptive research korelasi.Berdasarkan data analysis concluded three things. First, critical reading skills class XI student of SMAN 1 Kinali are in good qualifying (80.28). Second, the ability to write arguments class XI student SMAN 1 Kinali are in good qualifying (79.72). Third, there is a significant relationship between critical reading skills with the ability to write a class XI student argumentation SMA Negeri 1 Kinali.

This article was written to determine the effect of SRT on the reading comprehension class VII SMPN 8 Padang. Research data is the result of the final reading comprehension test given to both groups of samples. Data were collected by way of giving a test reading comprehension with SRT in the experimental group and the test reading comprehension without SRT in the control group. Reading comprehension ability of both groups were compared to see the effect of SRT by using t-test formula. The results showed that (1) the reading comprehension class VII SMPN 8 Padang using SRT are in good qualification; (2) the reading comprehension class VII SMPN 8 Padang without using SRT is more than enough to qualify; and (3) based on the results of the t-test concluded that there was a significant influence on the use of SRT in teaching reading comprehension class VII SMPN 8 Padang.

This reasearch describes about management and the usage system of harta pusaka in novels wrote by Wisran Hadi. The novel that became the object of this research titled Orang-orang Belanti dan Negeri Perempuan. In this research it is found that basicaly in minangkabau culture they have some rules use as they have in their society. But in fact, thereis also misunderstanding in managing tanah pusaka by man and the government because of thereason of people need. Butital sotells that there is a case that follow the rule in society. For example, in Bundo’s character, as one of the person who receive harta pusaka and can use it without have to overtaking other’s rights. Then, she also canuseit for all. Meanwhile, man that has power tomanage Harta pusaka does not have right to own it.

ABSTRACT This article reveals the contribution of skills comprehension text news to writing skills text news grade students VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12. The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of comprehension text news grade VIII SMP Negeri 12 field. Second, it describes the writing skills text news grade VIII SMP Negeri 12 field. Third, describing the contribution of the intermediate comprehension text news against writing skills text news grade VIII SMP Negeri 12 field. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used in this research is the design contribution. This research population is grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang are registered on the 12th school year 2019/2020, i.e. as many as 282 students. The sample in this research are determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, i.e. 53 students. Research data is a score test results intermediate comprehension text news and score the writing skills test result text news. The data obtained through two types of tests i.e. objective tests to measure the comprehension text news and performance tests to measure the skills of writing a text news. The results of the research there are three. First, the skills of writing text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on good qualifications (B) with an average of 76,42. Second, comprehension text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 are on more than enough qualifications (LdC) by the value of the average 73,95. Third, there is a contribution of comprehension in the news of text to the skills of writing news texts of class grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 12 at 15,37%. PEMETAAN BERBASIS CO-WORD UNTUK KAJIAN ARTIKEL SASTRA INDONESIA DALAM JURNAL ILMIAHAbstractStudies in the field of Indonesian literature plays an important role in demonstrating what life style Indonesia's diverse society. From studies that have been done have not seen a picture whether the study of Indonesian literature has evolved over some period of time with the possibility of the emergence of new topics in the study of Indonesian literature. Research conducted with quantitative approach using bibliometric analysis which includes analysis of the subject, co-word analysis, cluster analysis, and multidimensional scalling. Data were collected by identifying the scientific articles in the field of Indonesian literature contained in published scientific journal in Indonesia from 2008—2012 through the Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD) PDII LIPI. The results of this study indicate the following matters. First, the linkage of subjects in the field of Indonesian literature illustrated by the analysis group produced five cluster group. Each group describes the linkages between topics in a subject. Second, the development of the subject field map Indonesian literature for the years 2008—2012 shows five study groups in literature articles Indonesia, namely literary criticism, folklore, literary theory, history of literature, and philology. Most of the articles discuss various topics of literary theory in the study.Keywords: bibliometric; co-word analysis; multidimensional scalling Abstrak Kajian di bidang sastra Indonesia berperan penting dalam memperlihatkan corak kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia yang beraneka ragam.Dari kajian-kajian yang telah dilakukan belum terlihat gambaran apakah kajian sastra Indonesia mengalami perkembangan dari beberapa kurun waktu dengan kemungkinan munculnya topik-topik baru dalam kajian sastra Indonesia.Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menggunakan analisis bibliometrika yang mencakup analisis subjek, analisis co-word, analisis gugus, dan peta multidimensi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan mengidentifikasi artikel-artikel ilmiah di bidang sastra Indonesia yang terdapat dalam jurnal ilmiah yang terbit di Indonesia dari tahun 2008—2012melalui Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD) PDII LIPI.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut.Pertama, keterkaitan subjek dalam bidang sastra Indonesia digambarkan melalui analisis gugus yang menghasilkan lima kelompok gugus. Setiap gugus menggambarkan keterkaitan diantara topik-topik dalam suatu subjek. Kedua, peta perkembangan subjek bidang sastra Indonesia untuk tahun 2008—2012 memperlihatkan lima kelompok kajian artikel bidang sastra Indonesia, yaitu kritik sastra, folklore, teori sastra, sejarah sastra, dan filologi. Sebagian besar artikel membahas tentang teori sastra dalam berbagai topik kajian.Kata Kunci:bibliometrik; analisis co-word; peta multidimensi; sastra Indonesia
