Abstract

This research was motivated by the low performance of teachers due to the lack of education and training to strengthen school principals and the lack of maintaining the school climate. The problems in this research were: 1) the influence of education and training to strengthen school principals on teachers' performance at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Winong, Kabupaten Pati, 2) the influence of school climate on teachers' performance at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Winong, Kabupaten Pati, 3) the influence of education and training to strengthen school principals and school climate to affect the teachers' performance at Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Winong, Kabupaten Pati. This research was quantitative research with a correlational study that sought for the influence between the independent variables of education and school principal strengthening training (X1) and school climate (X2), with the dependent variable: teachers' performance (Y). This research was conducted from July to August 2020 at 40 Public Elementary Schools in Kecamatan Winong. The total population was 267 and 160 samples were randomly selected. The data were collected through a questionnaire. The requirements tests used were the normality test, homogeneity test, linearity test, and multicollinearity test. The research plan was tested by using simple linear regression analysis, t-test, multiple linear regression analysis processed using the SPSS program. The result found that the data were normally distributed, homogeneous, linear, and not multicollinear. Then, the result of the hypothesis test found: 1) there was a relationship between the variable X1 and X2 with the equation of Y = 71.661 + 0.632X1; thus, the hypothesis was accepted. This means that every increase in education and strengthening training for principals increased teachers' performance by 0.632 at a constant of 71.661. The strength of the correlation was 0.685. The amount of contribution of variable X1 to Y equals 89.6%; 2) there was a relationship between variable X2 and Y with the equation of Y = 71.661 + 0.495X2. The strength of the correlation was 0.697 with a contribution of 74.4%; 3) there was a positive relationship between education and training to strengthen principals and school climate on teachers' performance which was expressed by the equation of Y = 71.661 + 0.632X1 + 0.495X2. The correlation score was 0.707. The contribution of variables X1 and X2 to Y was 79.6%, while 20.4% was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (1) analyzing the effect of work motivation on the discipline of elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati; (2) analyzing the effect of principals' leadership on the discipline of elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati; (3) analyzing the effect of work motivation and principals' leadership on the discipline of elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati. This research was quantitative research which was classified as correlational research. This research aimed to seek the influence of teacher work motivation (independent variable, X1) and principals’ leadership (independent variable, X2) towards teachers' discipline (dependent variable, Y). The research was conducted from July to August 2020 at 32 public elementary schools throughout Kecamatan Tambakromo. The total population was 204 people, and 150 samples were randomly selected. The data were collected using questionnaires. It was found that the data were normally distributed, homogeneous, linear, and not multicollinear. The hypothesis test obtained: (1) there was a relationship between variable X1 and Y with the equation Y = 36.851 + 0.345X1, so the hypothesis was accepted. It indicated that every increase of one unit of work motivation increased teachers' discipline by 0.345 at a constant of 36.851, and the strength of the correlation was 0.670. The percentage contribution of variable X1 to Y was 55.2%; (2) there was a relationship between variable X2 and Y with the equation Y = 36.851 + 0.395X2. The correlation score was 0.680 with a contribution of 57.8%; (3) there was a positive relationship between work motivation and principals' leadership on teachers' discipline which was stated by the equation Ŷ = 36.851 + 0.345X1 + 0.395X2. The correlation score was 0.707. Finally, the contribution of variables X1 and X2 to Y was 49.9%, while 50.1% was influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the Principal's managerial ability on teachers’ performance, the effect of work discipline on teachers’ performance, and the influence of Principal’s managerial ability and work discipline in multiple ways on teachers’ performance. This research was conducted at SD Negeri in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati. The type of this study was quantitative research through survey methods to elementary school teachers in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati. The samples in this study were 191 respondents, which was selected through incidental techniques. The data collection technique was by giving a questionnaire to the teachers. The data analysis test used validity, reliability, classic assumption tests, and multiple linear tests which were processed by using IBM SPSS 24. The results showed the following: (1) Principal’s managerial ability (X1) was proven to have a significant effect on teachers’ performance in SD Negeri in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati. The t-test result showed that the sig value was equal to 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount 6.520 > ttable 1.9727. (2) Work discipline (X2) was proven to have a significant effect on teachers’ performance in SD Negeri in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati. The t-test result showed that the sig value was equal to 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of tcount 7.206 > ttable 1.9727. (3) Principal’s managerial ability and work discipline simultaneously proved to have a significant effect on teachers’ performance in SD Negeri in Kecamatan Tambakromo, Kabupaten Pati. The results of the F-test showed that the sig was equal to 0.000 < 0.05 and the value of fcount 229.714 > ftabel 3.04 and simultaneously influenced the teachers’ performance variable (Y) of 71%.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) develop thematic textbooks based on local wisdom for the materials about Our Best Friend's Environment for grade V elementary school students and (2) know the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of thematic textbooks based on local wisdom for the materials about Our Best Friend's Environment for grade V elementary school students. This textbook was developed by using Research and Development (R & D) method. The development stages included: (1) Potentials and problems, (2) Data collection, (3) Product designs, (4) Design validations, (5) Design revisions, (6) Product testings, and (7) Product revisions (Sugiyono, 2016). This study was conducted to 33 students from class V SDN 2 Sendang Kabupaten Jepara. The initial product development was a process of making media based on needs analysis. Expert testings or validation was carried out by 2 experts, namely media experts and material experts. The data in this study were collected through observations, interviews, and questionnaires. Then, the data were analyzed by using descriptive analysis and comparison test of two independent groups, namely by using the independent t-test. Based on the results of the trial, this thematic textbook was very valid, very interesting, effective, and could be applied in learning. This could be seen from the results of the validation by three experts showing that the product was good. Moreover, the results of the effectiveness test showed that students at the experimental class had better learning outcomes than those in the control class. This means that the textbook based on local wisdom in Kabupaten Jepara were developed effectively.

Abstract

This proposal community service program is designed to provide and assist the teachers to understand a classroom action research. The basic for proposing this service is the existence the problems, the teacher ability to understand a classroom action research, unable to make  a research proposal and unable to make a research report. The activities that will be carried out in this service are to provide a in-house training. The objectives to be achieved are: 1) increasing the understanding of a classroom action research, 2) increasing ability to write a research proposal, and 3) increasing ability to write a research report. The approach offered in the realization of this service is a in house-training model.           Keywords: a classroom action research, a research proposal, research report.

Abstract

This study aims to test the feasibility and effectiveness of the e-module with the professional flip pdf application for integer material in 6th grade elementary school students. This research is a type of research and development with nonrandomized experimental methods subject pre-test post-test control group design. The results of the feasibility test based on material expert validation obtained a score of 76, the percentage was 84.44%, the category was very good. Assessment of media experts, obtained a score of 110, the percentage of 81.48%, very good category. The effectiveness test of the independent t-test results obtained a significance score of 0.00 < 0.05. The t-count score shows a value greater than the t-table, which is 5.163>2.0166. The N-gain test obtained a score of 57.28 in the quite effective category. From the research data, it can be concluded that the developed e-module is declared feasible and effective for use in learning.

Abstract

Problems in writing narrative essays include the use of inappropriate learning media so that students' understanding is low, it is necessary to develop learning media to write essays in the form of puzzles. The purpose of this study was to develop puzzle media in Indonesian language learning materials for writing narrative essays in Grade III elementary school. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) with the research subjects being teachers and third grade students of elementary schools in the Hasanudin Group, Kebonagung District.. The results of the research are 1) the development of puzzle media is needed based on a needs analysis of learning media in Indonesian language lessons for writing narrative essays. The development of puzzle media was chosen because it is easy to make and practical in its use. By using picture puzzle series students are challenged to compose pictures and to think creatively in completing essays 2) The quality of puzzle media development is very valid, feasible and effective to use to improve narrative essay writing skills. in the third grade of elementary school

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan evaluasi terhadap implementasi Kurikum 2013 di Madarasah Ibtidaiyah. Komponen implementasi kurikulum yang dievaluasi meliputi: (1) kondisi siswa, (2) kondisi guru, (3) kondisi sarana prasarana, (4) perencanaan pembelajaran, (5) pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik integrative berbasis saintifik, (6) pelaksanaan penilaian autentik, dan (7) hasil penilaian autentik Jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan model evaluasi yang digunakan yaitu model evaluasi Stake Countenance Models (evaluasi 3 tahapan antecedent, transaction, dan outcomes). Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengumpulkan informasi yang berupa data komponen implementasi kurikulum untuk kemudian dibandingkan dengan standar dari Kemdikbud. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu lembar observasi, angket dan lembar dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskriptif.Hasil penelitian tahap pendahuluan (Antecedent) (83% kategori baik) dan keaktifan (80%). Kondisi guru belum sepenuhnya sesuai standar 89,5% (baik). Kondisi sarana prasarana berkategori sangat baik dengan persentase 58,3%. Pemahaman guru terhadap kurikulum dengan persentase 62,5% yang berkategori sangat baik. Kondisi perencanaan pembelajaran untuk data berkategori sangat baik sebanyak 50%, kategori baik sebanyak 45%. Tahap proses terdiri dari kondisi pelaksanaan pembelajaran didapatkan berkategori sangat baik 66.7%, kategori baik 25%, dan kategori kurang 83%. Kondisi pelaksanaan penilaian autentik berkategori sangat baik 80%, berkategori baik sebanyak 15%, kategori kurang sebanyak 5%, dan kategori sangat kurang tidak ada (0%). Tahap Hasil (Outcomes) yaitu penilaian autentik yang meliputi nilai aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, sikap dan kehadiran siswa. Data hasil penilaian autentik yang berkategori sangat baik 41,7%, berkategori baik 58,3%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua komponen belum memenuhi standar (100%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh motivasi kerja dan kompetensi guru terhadap kinerja guru PAUD. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan analisis regresi linier berganda. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 55 guru PAUD di Kecamatan Batangan Kabupaten Pati. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan angket yang telah melalui uji validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil penelitian secara parsial menunjukkan bahwa: (1) motivasi kerja dengan thitung > ttabel (2,140 > 2,007) dan nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,037 < 0,05), artinya motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru; (2) kompetensi guru dengan thitung > ttabel (9,946 > 2,007) dan nilai signifikan lebih kecil dari 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05), artinya kompetensi guru juga berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan kompetensi guru saling mempengaruhi terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan Fhitung>Ftabel (168,514 > 3,17) dan nilai sig 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, nilai adjusted R Square sebesar 0,861. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kontribusi variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat sebesar 86,1%. Sedangkan sisanya sebesar 13,9% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain di luar model regresi ini. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa motivasi kerja dan kompetensi guru PAUD secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja guru PAUD di Kecamatan Batangan Kabupaten Pati.
