Abstract

Production Suction Dredger (KIP) are the primary equipment for offshore tin mining, operating with a hydraulic system to drive the dredge, significantly impacting production efficiency. This study aims to measure and analyze the reliability of the dredge at KIP Timah 7 using a partial approach to the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) method, focusing on two main components: availability and performance. Data were obtained from operational reports for the 2023–2024 period, covering downtime, uptime, and monthly disruptions. The data will be processed monthly to obtain availability and performance values, then combined to calculate OEE as an indicator of work Effectiveness.  The results show that availability fluctuates between 81.30% and 100%, while performance remains constant at 100% because actual operating time meets the ideal target. The OEE value varies following changes in availability each month. The disruption analysis identified the soil pump cardan shaft, soil pump, and press pipe as the most frequently damaged components, increasing downtime. Therefore, scheduled maintenance is required on these critical components to improve work efficiency while minimizing potential production disruptions.

The results showed that compensation and work climate had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. In addition, compensation and work climate also had a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Work motivation was proven to have a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The results of the indirect effect test showed that work motivation was able to significantly mediate the effect of compensation and work climate on teacher performance. The coefficient of determination value showed that compensation and work climate were able to explain 38.3% of the variation in work motivation, while compensation, work climate, and work motivation together were able to explain 56.3% of the variation in teacher performance. The conclusion of this study confirms that improving teacher performance can be achieved through fair compensation management, the creation of a conducive work climate, and the strengthening of teacher work motivation. Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in ensuring the effectiveness of supervision and security of medical equipment and facilities that directly impact public safety. This study aims to analyze the effect of competence and compensation on employee performance with work motivation as a mediating variable at the Medical Equipment and Facility Security Center (BPAFK) in Medan. This study uses a quantitative approach with a census method on 81 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software. The results showed that competence had a positive and significant effect on employee performance and work motivation. Compensation had a positive but insignificant effect on employee performance, but had a positive and significant effect on work motivation. Work motivation was found to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The indirect effect test showed that work motivation was able to significantly mediate the effect of competency on employee performance, but was not able to mediate the effect of compensation on employee performance. These findings indicate that improving the performance of BPAFK Medan employees is more effectively achieved by strengthening employee competency supported by work motivation, while compensation plays a greater role as a motivator than as a direct factor in improving performance. This study is expected to serve as a basis for BPAFK Medan leaders in formulating human resource development policies that are oriented towards the continuous improvement of employee competence, motivation, and performance

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational culture and human resource development on organizational commitment with Public Service Motivation (PSM) as a mediating variable at the Medan Sunggal Sub-District Office. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. The research population consisted of all 90 civil servants at the Medan Sunggal Subdistrict Office, all of whom were included in the sample. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with the help of SmartPLS. The results of the study indicate that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment, but does not have a significant effect on Public Service Motivation. Human resource development does not have a significant direct effect on organizational commitment, but has a positive and significant effect on Public Service Motivation. Furthermore, Public Service Motivation has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Mediation effect testing shows that Public Service Motivation does not mediate the effect of organizational culture on organizational commitment, but acts as a significant mediating variable in the relationship between human resource development and organizational commitment. These findings indicate that increasing organizational commitment in the Medan Sunggal Subdistrict Office environment is more effectively achieved through direct strengthening of organizational culture and through human resource development that can increase employees' public service motivation. This study provides practical implications for public sector human resource management in designing human resource development policies and strengthening public service values to increase organizational commitment.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of digitalization has transformed marketing strategies in Indonesia’s food and beverage (F&B) industry, with short video marketing emerging as a key approach to reaching modern consumers. This study aims to examine the effect of short video marketing on consumers’ purchase intention, with consumer engagement serving as a mediating variable among Petro’s Coffee customers. A quantitative approach was employed using a cross-sectional survey design involving 150 respondents aged 18–45 years who had been exposed to Petro’s Coffee short video content within the past three months. Data were collected through an online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0. The theoretical foundation of this study integrates the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) framework to explain the psychological mechanisms underlying consumer responses. The results indicate that short video marketing has a positive and significant effect on consumer engagement, consumer engagement positively and significantly influences purchase intention, and consumer engagement significantly mediates the relationship between short video marketing and purchase intention. These findings highlight consumer engagement as a key mechanism in translating short video marketing stimuli into consumers’ behavioral responses. Practically, this study provides strategic implications for F&B industry practitioners in optimizing short video marketing by strengthening consumer engagement to enhance purchase intention
