Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

This article explain about  terrorist’s bombing toward a Roman Catholic cathedral in Jolo, southern Philippines, Sunday 27 January 2019 morning. At least 22 people were reportedly killed tragically and nearly 50 others were injured. The suicide bombing of the husband and wife exploded during Sunday Mass in Jolo is the first bomb explosion was carried out by a woman from inside the church who smashed benches, smashed windows and left the body of the victim at the Catholic church located in Jolo. The first explosion occurred at Jolo Cathedral in Sulu Province. The second bomb exploded outside the church after the congregation left to save themselves. The second bomb was carried out by a man who was the husband of the first bomber. This Jolo  suicide bombing mimics the suicide bombing of a family of 8-9 May 2018 in Surabaya and Sidoarjo. Nobody thought that the perpetrators came from one whole family. Officers revealed that the bombers in the three churches were the families of Mr. Dita Oepriyanto and Mrs. Puji Kuswati. These parents invited their four children to take action in three different churches. Their four children have a very young and young age. Yusuf Fadil's son (18), Firman Halim (16), daughter of Fadhila Sari (12), and Pamela Riskita (9). The familial terroist bombing in Jolo dan Surabaya is a reflection that our world today is 'a world full of the thrill of underground revenge, inexhaustible and never satisfied in an explosion'. The present is a age of anger

Abstract

The Iran-US agreement on nuclear power has made watershed in Iran-West relations, in which all of nuclear weapons of Iran should be disconnected and frozen so that only the Israelis held a nuclear power in the Middle East.Teheran always says its nuclear activities are for peaceful purposes. Nowadays the international sanctions on Iranian lifted, and Iran is more powerfull to enhance its posture in international arena. This agreement has caused ideological anxiety among the Wahabis with implications that the Wahabis are not happy and they do not like with the strengthening of Iran politically and culturally in globalized world. The Wahabis’ Ideological interests will be erodedto a certain degree with the agreement which would seriously divide the Islamic world by by Sunni-Shia rivalry. However, the rise of Turkey which competed with Iran and Saudi in the political arena of Middle East, would open the Wahabis eyes in Indonesia that maybe Turkey is the hope of the future.

Abstract

This study is a literary and cultural stare of the red thread Eka Kurniawan. As a young writer, Eka Kurniawan successfully spawned three novels that brought her name increasingly known in international literature. His works are also considered capable of inheriting a 'moving' literary tradition, in which the literary notions of socialist realism are echoed. As a results The language of Eka in Beauty, an elegant wound, and the wealth of his imagination provided excitement, like joy when he saw the snow falling for the first time. Ben Anderson even mentioned Eka as Pramoedya's replacement. He also mentioned Eka as the novel writer and the most original short story in Indonesia. Eka claimed to imitate Pram's discipline in making story details. Eka's comment? "I'm still far from Pram," Eka said in response to her comparison with Pramoedya. But it was precisely there that was the challenge for Eka to continue working as Ben Anderson and Pramudya had hoped for him.

Abstract

This study is about the red thread of the relationship between Ben Anderson and Pramudya Ananta Toer: a literary and cultural stare. Ben Anderson expressed his appreciation for the principles and views of Pramudya Ananta Toer that the existence of social and political commitments in arts and literature in Indonesia in the era of movement was more a response to the conditions of the times. Ben Anderson sees Pram's awareness as a 'patterned' writer of socialist realism ', has a strong humanitarian and popular vision, in which under Dutch colonialism, artists and writers feel a responsibility to participate in changing the fate of colonized communities. It can be concluded that they care and commit to the fate of the underprivileged, the oppressed, under-dog. In fact, from the conditions, language, real life and dialectics in the underworld, they discover the reality of humans and society as they are, authentic and inspiring. That is so. Social reality in their lives has shaped the commitment, color and character in working to rediscover humanity, justice and truth in their own way. In the end, it seems that we are restless, disappointed, hurt, angry and looking for humans. In this case, Ben, and Pram God willing, it is not alone!

Abstract

The article describes abour business circles and the middle class of indigenous Muslims who want the duo of President Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla (Vice President), who replaces SBY-Boedino today, can firmly and quickly put an end to social crime practices, especially how to eradicate corruption, law enforcement, community empowerment, for the sake of justice, humanity, freedom, human rights, and democracy. The Muslim commu- nities want that in this reform era, Jokowi-JK program is accompanied by a "clear and clear policy of vision" that can help people out of the economic crisis, social destruction and disintegration symptoms. During the transitional period of the Habibie era, Abdurrahman Wahid, Megawati-Hamzah Haz and SBY-Boediono and Jokowi-JK today, the discourse is still "separate" from the reality of socio-economic and cultural life of the people who are suffering and depressed by multi-crisis. As a result, the politics of the current regime that relies on discourse, does not have a socio-economic machine to realize that discourse as a social idea that can be implemented in real terms by the people, and consequently only becomes "political consumption" and the commodities of the elites and the middle class are separated from social processes in the undercurrent. In this case, the government must realize that by allowing poverty and injustice to be rampant among Muslims, that is similar with waiting for the time bomb for explosions of anger and violence.

Abstract

That article said that the 21st century is a century belonging to Asia, especially China. By 2050 half the world's gross national product will bedominated by Asia where China is predicted to displace the US to secondplace and will be the world's strongest player, followed by India in third.Globalization has opened up barriers and boundaries for the movement ofinformation, capital, goods, services, people, as well as state ideology andnationalism. Indonesia, which by Gunnar Myrdal called soft country, shouldrapidly improve itself to rise and compete in the era of globalization whereChina is increasingly dominant in competing against the US and its allies inAsia.
