Abstract

The aim of this is to analyze the investment behavior of Acehnese entrepreneurs by considering the individual characteristics of entrepreneurs. This study was analyzed using a quantitative descriptive approach. The number of samples was 150 Aceh Entrepreneurs in 10 districts/cities in Aceh. The selected entrepreneurs who have been designated as Taxable Entrepreneurs (PKP) by the Directorate General of Taxes. The sampling technique used is judgment sampling. The research data collected by using a closed questionnaire. The results of the study show that Acehnese entrepreneurs have risk-averse behavior in making investment decisions. The results of the study also show that Acehnese entrepreneurs consider investments by sharia principles. Entrepreneurs with an older age tend to have alternative investments in financial assets. Factors of saturation and reliability cause this tendency. Older entrepreneurs are becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the business they are running right now, but they are worried about the significant risks of diversifying investment into financial assets. Education needs to be given about investing in the financial sector for Acehnese entrepreneurs, especially for older entrepreneurs.

A secondary data collected from the Central Bureau of statistic North Sumatera which consist of 33 regencies/cities in North Sumatera province for the period of 2011-2015 and analyzed using panel regression analysis by assisting EVIEWS 10.0.  This study applied the Williamson index to identify the effect of fiscal decentralization of financial capability via the General Allocation Fund (DAU) budget per capita and Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). The variable of fiscal decentralization is the primary revenue received by local government measured by Original Local Government Revenue (PAD) and Balance Fund (DP) while the regional performance using per capita income. The result of the analysis shows that the random effect model is the best model for estimating the effect of fiscal decentralization on regional performance. By applying the Williamson Index for General Allocation Fund per capita, this study indicates it unstably distributed. Also, Williamson Index for per capita income distribution categorized as moderate. Lastly, the Original Local Government Revenue and Balance Fund have a positive effect on regional performance.

Abstract

Abstract- One important matter that should be investigated is the estimation of the risk distribution model of claims for each age group of the insured in health insurance because it is beneficial to prevent the occurrence of losses for insurance companies in the future. Supply chain strategy can be used in health insurance industry to manage the risks. In this paper, the research done is about the risk distribution model estimation on health insurance claims using Bayesian. The objective is to derive a health insurance risk model and determine the amount of net premium for each insured age group in health insurance. The sample of this study is the participant of health insurance in the Bandung area, Indonesia, especially for the insured who live in flood-prone areas. The estimation of the Poisson and Gamma distribution parameter is performed using the Bayesian method, which OpenBUGS involves Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) the simulation technique. The estimation results show that the frequency of claims significantly follows the Poisson distribution, whereas the amount of claims substantially follows the Gamma distribution. With the result of the analysis, the estimated frequency distribution of claims and the amount of claims, a health insurance risk model may be established. Thus the net premium of health insurance for every age group, for the insured who live in the area prone to floods can be determined.

Abstract

Abstract. Supply chains depend on community resources such as entrepreneurs, natural resources, and facilities in value creation and successful operation, while communities need development opportunities from supply chains to build and maintain prosperity. The mutual influence between supply chains and communities offers opportunities to integrate sustainability initiatives into the chain. Village Owned Enterprises is the village financial institutions has been regulated by the government since the colonial era to the present. It gives an opportunity for villages to prepare themselves in an effort to establish Village Owned Enterprise accordance with local potential both human and natural resources owned by the village. The Village Law provides an opportunity for villages so that Village Owned Enterprise can be one of the tools of the struggle for economic improvement and welfare though the sustainable supply chain. The challenges of the establishment and business development of Village-Owned Enterprise are increasingly complex. This is because not all villages in Indonesia are ready with adequate human resources in making village regulations, looking for business opportunities, being administrators, making reports and implementing Village-Owned Enterprise supply chain management. The interactions among the supply chains and communities provide significant insights into how to create sustainability for both.

This cross-sectional data derived from the results of the Economic Census (2016) in Aceh province in 2017 which consists of 23 districts/cities, as many as 34 thousand selected MSEs units. The data analyzed by using logistic-linear regression. The results of this study showed that the status of a business entity, association, business partnership, expert, duration of operation, internet use, membership cooperatives, the provincial minimum wage, and business scale have a significant effect on capital financing Therefore, there four variables do not has a significant on capital financing from financial institutions received by MSEs members namely location, certificate ownership, financial statements and business systems. An astonishing finding is that MSEs members of cooperatives have more than three times the opportunity to receive funding from financial institutions compared to non-MSEs members. It clearly illustrated that MSEs who are members of cooperatives have a substantial possibility of obtaining financing from financial/banking institutions compared to those who are not members of cooperatives. This study suggests that Non-MSEs members to join as MSEs members is a necessity.

Abstract

Abstract- Smart building can be a procedure for developing supply chain in civil industry. The current type of housing in Indonesia is classified into several clusters and has varying prices, from prices of hundreds of millions to billions. For homes that have a price of millions, providing comfortable facilities,it is a must such as smart home systems that offer additional safety features, running by IoT (Internet of Things) technology where the owner can control and monitor via smartphones. This kind of system will certainly not be available on simple housing types or mortgages. To use this system, the owner or housing retailer will issue a large amount of cost used for the installation and installation. Some developer offered a smart home technology with a relativelyhigh price, which is around the price of 20 million to a dozen million IDR which not include the usual maintenance and installation of the system. This condition overcomes the problem that housing retailer often difficult to sell a house with extra smart home packages. Mostly, the onlyhigh-income consumer can buy a house with smart home features. This problem is the detailed background for this research that aims to design software of smart home that affordable, and to optimize the value of housing used the descriptive quantitative method with a waterfall system as a software development model. At the end reach purposed that the smart concept can be installed at home or housing so that not only owned by a high-end consumer but also with middle to lower consumption.

Abstract

Tourism plays crucial role for improving the social and economic development of a country through open employment opportunities in surrounding tourism area. The supply chain mangement strategy can be effective in developing the turisim industry. The number of foreign tourists who come to Indonesia continues to increase from time to time. Therefore, tourist arrivals need to be forecasted to assist the government in providing optimal infrastructure and accommodation for tourists to avoid an imbalance between the number of tourists with the infrastructure and accommodation provided. The purpose of this study is to forecast the arrival of foreign tourists in Indonesia by using Artificial Neural Network and Holt-Winters approach esutilising the historical data from January 2011 to December 2017. From the calculation process, we found that MAPE (Mean Absolute Percentage Error) value of Artificial Neural Network and Holt-Winters approaches are 5.60% and 5.43%, respectively. So it can be concluded that the Holt-Winters approach is better than the Artificial Neural Network approaches in forecasting the foreign tourists arrival in Indonesia.
