Abstract

This study discussed themonitoring of coastline changesaccording to accretion and abrasion. The aim this study is to calculate the shoreline change within the last 10 years in Muara Gembong, Bekasi. This research using remote sensing approach and data from Landsat Satellite Imagery. The results indicate a change in the form of accretion and erosion on the shoreline. The abrasion average are 230.89 to 34.95 m/yr or 202 589 to 15,911 m2/yr. While the accretion average are 34 to 172.39 m/yr or 7044 to 47 205 m2/yr. This study concluded that accretion and abrasion of coastline, caused mainly byland conversion to enhance coast area made by a resident to fishfond, rice field and settlements, as well as sedimentation.

Abstract

Abstract

The Telaga Warna Nature Reserve and Nature Park is one of the animal and fauna conservation and protection areas in West Java, with an area of 496.49 ha. The long-tailed monkey is one of the protected animals at Telaga Warna. Based on the IUCN Redlist, long-tailed monkeys are currently included in the endangered species (Endangered). The largest decline in the long-tailed monkey population is due to illegal hunting. Given the declining condition of the long-tailed macaque population, this study was conducted to analyze the demographics of the population and analyze the home ranges of long-tailed macaques in Telaga Warna. The research was conducted in March-May 2021, which was carried out at CA and TWA Telaga Warna. The data collected includes population demographics, home ranges, and habitat use. Analysis of population demographic data used concentration calculations based on sex and age structure, home ranges using a minimum convex polygon and habitat use was analyzed descriptively by comparing conditions between observed groups of long-tailed monkeys. The results of the research on the long-tailed monkey population in the Telaga Warna area consisted of two groups with a total of 64 individuals. The long-tailed macaque population will decrease because it has a regressive population with sufficient space and a low total population density of 0.13 ind/ha. The home range area of group A is 13.8 ha and that of group B is 6.26 ha. The home range area of group B is thought to be influenced by the size and age structure of the group. The long-tailed monkey group both use forest land cover, plantations and water bodies, and are found at an altitude of 1400-1600 masl with gentle to very steep slopes (> 8%).

Abstract

Mangrove ecosystem is a region that acts as a transition between land and sea. This ecosystem has ecological, socio-economic and physical functions. The decline in the quality and quantity of mangrove forests has resulted in very alarming impacts, such as increased abrasion, reduced fishing catches, seawater intrusion, and others. This study aims to analyze the biodiversity of mangrove ecosystem in the Randutatah coal. The results showed that mangrove ecosystems were dominated by Rhizophora stylosa species with the highest INP values in tillers and tree categories. Observations of fauna in the area found 2 types of mammals, 34 species of birds, 7 species of herpetofauna, and 9 species of insects. the wealth of bird species in this region is high. Phytoplankton composition is dominated by Bacillariophyceae class, zooplankton is dominated by crustacean class, and nekton is dominated by Mugilidae class. Mangrove conditions in Randutatah can increase biodiversity in these locations, as well as the condition of the waters around the mangrove ecosystem that become fertile so that it can be used by the community to catch fish or crabs that have an impact on the growth of the economic value of the community.

Abstract

Lutung Sentarum (Presbytis Chrysomelas spp cruciger) is a member of the Presbyis tribe. Langur Sentarum (Presbytis Chrysomelas Cruciger) is one of the endemic animals in West Kalimantan with unprotected status, but is vulnerable to extinction. The study was conducted to obtain data on the demographic parameters of animal populations and their management in the Sepandan Resort area. The research was conducted through field observations to obtain data on demographic parameters with the concentration count method based on consideration of the characteristics of species distribution and field conditions in the research area. Population size data collection was carried out at 15 observation points, which were spread across all habitats types in the research study area. Observations or population size calculations at one point were carried out three times, namely in the morning (06.00 – 08.00), afternoon (12.00 – 14.00) and afternoon (16.00 – 18.00), and three replicates were carried out. The results of data from Lutung sentarum at the Sepandan resort found 8 groups from 2 areas, namely in Pelaik hamlet 2 groups and in Kedungkang hamlet 6 groups. Each group relatively had 1 adult male. Total individuals found were 58 individuals consisting of: 8 adult males, 25 adult females, 5 juvenile males, 18 juvenile females and 2 chicks. The total number of adult males and juveniles is 13 individuals and the total number of females is 43 individuals. The results in the sex ratio calculation of the encounter of 8 groups consisting of 13 males and 43 females were composed of sex ratio values of 1: 3. Total natality value of 8 groups of langur sentarum is 0.08.
