Abstract

Language and news have a close relationship because language is a medium to convey news. In news, the use of noun phrases is important to pay attention to, so that there is no misunderstanding. Therefore, this study aims to analyse the use of object phrases in news texts, focusing on their elements, types, and functions. In this research, two approaches are used, namely qualitative descriptive and syntax. The results show that in the news text, there are various variations of noun phrases. This diversity is seen in the different patterns of phrase formation, which differ in structure and constituent elements. The type of noun phrase that is often found is the subordinate noun phrase. The results showed that noun phrases can occupy syntactic functions as long as their use does not exceed the limits of sentence structure. In Indonesian syntax, noun phrases can function as subjects, objects, or descriptions. Therefore, noun phrases play an important role in the formation of a sentence.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a fundamental imperative in modern educational systems, including within the context of Islamic Religious Education (IRE). While mobile learning technologies offer significant potential for enhancing student engagement, their implementation in religious education still faces challenges related to digital literacy, infrastructure limitations, and alignment with Islamic values. This study aims to investigate the role of iPad-based learning innovation in enhancing student engagement in IRE within the framework of digital transformation. Employing a qualitative research approach with a case study design, this research was conducted at an Islamic primary school implementing a one-to-one iPad program. Data were collected through Classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis involving teachers, students, and school administrators. The findings reveal that iPad integration significantly transforms instructional practices by promoting interactive, student-centered, and technology-enhanced learning environments. The use of multimedia content, digital applications, and online assessments increases students' behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement. Analysis using the SAMR model indicates that iPad integration extends beyond basic substitution, reaching modification and redefinition levels that enable innovative learning experiences. The implications of this research suggest that the effectiveness of iPad-based learning depends on alignment among technology, pedagogy, and institutional support, requiring sustained investment in infrastructure and teacher professional development to ensure a successful digital transformation in Islamic education.

Abstract

With adapted handball games at SMPN 8 Banjarbaru, this study attempted to improve the creative component of students' graduation profiles using a Problem Bssed Learning-based PJOK course. The two cycles of CAR that were used in the study consisted of planning, taking action, observing, and reflection. Data was collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observation. The study revealed that the graduate profile's creative component improved throughout each cycle. During the pre-cycle phase, the proportion of students' creative ideas that were deemed adequate was 60%. In Cycle I, the "good" category included 66% of the observation results and 67% of the questionnaire data. The questionnaire data showed an increase in the very good category to 82%, and the observation findings increased to 79% during Cycle II. Consequently, the graduate profile's creative dimension was successfully improved by PJOK learning, which emphasizes problem-based learning via modified handball games.
