Abstract

This study aims to analyze the integration of digital technology in Islamic education. This research uses a literature study method (library research) that focuses on searching, collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing various relevant scientific sources. The classified literature is then analyzed in depth through a content analysis approach to explore key ideas, thought patterns, theoretical arguments, and the relevance of empirical findings. The analysis results show that the transformation of Islamic education in the era of the Industrial Revolution 5.0 is an inevitability that cannot be avoided. The development of digital technology such as artificial intelligence (AI), Learning Management Systems (LMS), and interactive learning media has shifted the learning paradigm from traditional models to more modern, collaborative, and technology-based systems. The integration of digital technology in Islamic education not only aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of learning but also serves as an effort to strengthen the faith, morals, and character of students. Islamic value principles such as monotheism (tauhid), trustworthiness (amanah), justice, and public welfare serve as the ethical foundation that should guide every utilization of technology to ensure it brings benefits and avoids moral deviations. Thus, technology is not merely a tool, but also a medium for Islamic preaching and character building that is relevant to the challenges of the modern era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze various aspects related to work/tasks in Islamic education. The study uses a literature study (library research) approach. The data sources in this study consist of Primary Sources such as the Qur’an and hadith, and Secondary Sources such as books, journal articles, research reports, proceedings, dissertations/theses, as well as relevant academic digital sources. The selection of literature is carried out through a systematic search process in scientific databases such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, and Garuda. The analysis technique used is content analysis. The analysis results indicate that job analysis is very important and urgently needed to be implemented in schools. Identifying job specifications is crucial for teachers and all staff. The techniques or methods used to conduct a job analysis do not have to be the same in every company or school. It all depends on the organization's own needs. However, what is very important is that the results of the job analysis must be accurate and neatly recorded to serve as a reference in the subsequent human resource management process. The connection between job analysis and the human resource management process or functions is very close. Job analysis is conducted in the human resource management planning process. Then the results can be used in decision-making throughout the entire human resource management process.

Abstract

This study aims to explain how optimal decision-making can strengthen Islamic education planning and improve the effectiveness of the national education system. This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach by collecting data through literature studies on Islamic education planning theory, strategic management principles, and national education policy. The data obtained was analysed using content analysis techniques to identify patterns of ideas, conceptual consistency, and relevance to the current educational context. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of the national education system increases when planning is data-driven, aligned with spiritual values, and involves the participation of various stakeholders. Optimising decision-making requires collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and the community to ensure that Islamic education can contribute to the formation of superior and characterful individuals. This article recommends a participatory decision-making model that integrates theological, pedagogical, and sociological aspects to strengthen the quality and competitiveness of national education.

Abstract

Plastic waste management in Nagari Langki, Tanjung Gadang Subdistrict, Sijunjung District is still suboptimal due to low public awareness of sorting and managing household waste. This study aims to implement the use of ecobricks as a community-empowered solution for plastic waste management. The method used is participatory-educational, involving the community through socialization, education, training, and ecobrick-making practices. The activities were conducted at SDN 03 Langki, SDN 25 Langki, SMPN 31 Sijunjung, and the Village Office in June 2024. The results of the activities showed high enthusiasm among the community, particularly housewives and students, in collecting and processing plastic waste into ecobricks. The program produced approximately 50 ecobrick bottles, which were assembled into two units of chairs and donated to PAUD Parmato Bundo and TK Harapan Bunda. The use of ecobricks has proven effective in increasing community awareness and participation in plastic waste management. This program has the potential to be developed as a sustainable community-based waste management model.

Abstract

Background. Speed is one aspect of the physical category. This reflects the muscle's capability to act quickly by experiencing cycles of contraction and relaxation that lead to maximum frequency. In the context of karate, having good speed in throwing punches is crucial because increasing punching speed is a key factor in achieving points or scores. This also applies to the gyaku tsuki chudan punch technique. Method. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of using rubber training on gyaku-tsuki punch speed among karate practitioners. The research method used is descriptive. The sampling approach chosen was total sampling with a population of karate athletes, where the number of samples taken was 12 people. The instrument used to collect data was the Gyaku-tsuki punch speed test. The results of this study indicate a significant impact of rubber training on gyaku-tsuki attack speed among athletes. Result. This finding is supported by the calculation of the t-table value from rubber training which indicates the gyaku-tsuki punch speed is 7.05. Comparisons were made to the t-table values obtained at the significance level α = 0.05 with 12-3 degrees of freedom (df = 9), which had a value of 1.83. This shows that the calculated t value of 7.05 exceeds the t table value of 1.83. Conclusion. Therefore, the conclusion of the research is that rubber training has a significant impact on the speed of gyaku-tsuki punches in athletes.

Abstract

Problems: In swimming courses at Padang State University, specifically for specialized swimming, students tend to have difficulty completing the 1500-meter distance event which demands aerobic endurance, technical efficiency, and the ability to regulate swimming rhythm. The difficulties experienced by students are due to limited endurance and ineffective training methods. Therefore, this study examines how interval training can affect long-distance swimming abilities for swimming specialty students. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of interval training on the 1500-meter freestyle swimming ability of swimming specialty students at Padang State University. Methods: This study uses a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design (one group pretest–posttest design). The research sample consisted of 7 students taken using a saturated sampling technique. The research instrument was a 1500-meter freestyle swimming test with travel time measurements. Data were analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and a paired sample t-test hypothesis test. Results: The results showed a significance value of 0.003 (p <0.05), which means there is a significant effect of interval training on the 1500-meter freestyle swimming ability. Conclusion: Interval training has been proven to have a significant effect on improving 1500-meter freestyle swimming ability in students specializing in swimming. Therefore, interval training is recommended to be integrated into the training periodization program for swimming specialists.

Abstract

This study explores the English language proficiency of tourism players in the Gayo Highlands and suggests strategic training paths under the English for Tourism (EfT) model. The design that was used was a quantitative, cross-sectional design using a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure the four core skills, which are listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The results indicated that there was a high difference between the receptive and productive skills, with listening and reading being much better compared to speaking and writing. The Pearson correlation analysis also revealed that listening and speaking skills (r = 0.95) were highly correlated, and it is worth discussing the pedagogical significance of the integrated input-output strategies. The findings highlight the importance of communication and culturally responsive training programs, which address the authentic language utilization that is necessitated in the ecotourism and heritage settings of Gayo. This is in accordance with previous studies that underscored the expectations of the society of the tourism actors not only to apply English functionally but also to project cultural identity by means of language. Practical suggestions are the use of mobile-assisted learning devices, participatory training creation, and stakeholder collaboration among local agencies and training institutions. The research has both theoretical contributions to the ESP/EfT scholars and practical usefulness to the policymakers and tourism developers who are concerned with sustainable language learning.

Abstract

English communication skills play a crucial role in shaping service quality and international tourist satisfaction, yet empirical evidence on the linguistic readiness of tourism workers in the Gayo Highlands remains limited. This study examines their English proficiency, with emphasis on speaking and listening as the core competencies required for frontline service interactions. Using a quantitative descriptive design, data were collected from 34 tourism workers and analyzed through descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and Pearson correlation. The results show that listening and speaking exhibit low to moderate proficiency levels, with both identified as the most challenging skills. The chi-square analysis indicated no significant association between profession and perceived difficulty (χ² = 6.918, p = 0.733), suggesting uniform challenges across occupational groups. A weak negative correlation between work experience and overall proficiency (r = –0.25) further suggests that experience alone does not enhance communicative competence. These findings highlight systemic gaps in English for Tourism preparedness and underscore the need for targeted, needs-based, and simulation-driven training to support service quality and strengthen the competitiveness of rural destinations such as the Gayo Highlands.
