Abstract

Facebook is one of the most popular social media among the public. Facebook is one of the online social networking or social networking sites created to provide technological facilities with the intention that users can socialize or interact in cyberspace. Someone addicted to making Facebook an important cause that can't be given up. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a significant association between narcissistic behavior and Facebook addiction among students at State Vocational High School 2 Kupang City. The participants in this study were students from Kupang City State Vocational High School 2, a total of 226 respondents. This study uses correlation analysis. The result of the analysis shows that there is a correlation coefficient between the variable’s narcissistic behavior and Facebook addiction of 0.771 with a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Individuals, of course, must meet their needs to survive. Ways to meet needs can come in the form of buying something or creating something. Many daily shopping activities are based on something other than careful consideration. This is called impulse buying. The hypothesis in this study is that there are gender differences in impulse buying in early adulthood in Kupang City. The participants in this study were the people from Kupang City in their early adulthood who made purchases in Kupang City, a total of 400 respondents. The sampling technique used was random sampling. The data collection technique used the Impulsive Buying Tendency Scale (IBTS), which consisted of 16 items. Data analysis used the Mann-Whitney U-test. This study concluded that there was a significant difference in impulsive buying behavior in early adulthood in Kupang City in terms of gender, with the analysis of the average score of female impulsive purchases being greater than that of males with a significant level of 0.005.

Abstract

The phenomenon of child marriage is a problem that occurs worldwide. Adolescents who engage in child marriage tend not to achieve psychological well-being. This is closely related to emotional maturity in resolving family conflicts. This research uses qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The data collection procedure consisted of interviews and documentation for 3 participants with a marital background, as they were engaged out of wedlock and pregnant. The results showed that young women who underwent child marriage did not have good psychological well-being. This is evident in the aspects of self-acceptance, positive relationships with others, autonomy, mastery of the environment, Purpose in life and personal growth. Young women's psychological well-being is also affected by several factors, including support, change, compassion, motivation, counsel, problem solving, and knowledge of marriage. Adolescents who are successful and able to overcome their problems are said to reach a state of psychological well-being, which means that this leads to the state of individuals who are able to face various things that can trigger problems in their lives.

Abstract

Students have responsibilities as students of knowledge and complete academic tasks. The assignments given can help students to improve their understanding of the material presented. One of the problems that can be experienced by students related to academic assignments is that students often delay doing assignments in an academic context or what is known as academic procrastination. Academic procrastination is thought to be the result of a failure of self-regulation that adversely affects the well-being and academic performance of students. This problem was also found in students of the Psychology Study Program, Faculty of Public Health, Nusa Cendana University class 2017. One thing that can be done to overcome this problem is to provide Self-Regulated Learning training to students who often delay their academic assignments. This research was conducted to see the effect of Self-Regulated Learning training to reduce the level of academic procrastination behavior among students. This type of research is Quasi Experimental research. Participants in this study amounted to 13 students who have met the research requirements. The results of the analysis of research data indicate that Self-Regulated Learning training has an effect on reducing student academic procrastination behavior.

Abstract

Pandemi Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) yang meresahkan masyarakat Indonesia telah terjadi selama tiga tahun terakhir (2019-2022). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP N 20 Kupang pada bulan Maret sampai April tahun 2023. Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini  adalah untuk menggambarkan kepatuhan penerapan protokol kesehatan pasca vaksinasi COVID-19 pada Pelajar Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) di SMP N 20 Kupang, sedangkan tujuan khusus dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui bagaimana faktor pendukung perilaku kepatuhan penerapan protokol kesehatan pasca vaksinasi pada pelajar SMP, dan untuk mengetahui faktor penghambat perilaku kepatuhan penerapan protokol kesehatan pasca vaksinasi pada pelajar SMP. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomologi dengan jumlah informan dalam penelitian ini adalah 8 orang, yaitu 6 orang informan kunci dan 2 orang informan utama. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Maret-April 2023. Teknik pengambilan sampel atau informan dengan purposive sampling.  Analisis data dengan menentukan Reduksi data, Display Data dan Kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan faktor pendukung kepatuhan penerapan protokol kesehatan pasca vaksinasi pada pelajar SMP adalah pengetahuan dan dukungan keluarga/orang tua sedangkan faktor penghambat kepatuhan penerapan protokol kesehatan pasca vaksinasi pada pelajar SMP adalah kurangnya sarana dan prasana di lingkungan sekolah, serta tidak adanya aturan sekolah yang mendukung dalam menerapkan protokol kesehatan karena beranggapan bahwa COVID-19 sudah tidak ada. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan protokolkesehatan setelah vaksinasi sangat penting untuk dilaksanakan seperti menggunakan masker saat keluar rumah, menjaga jarak fisik, dan sering mencuci tangan dengan sabun dan air atau menggunakan antiseptik.

Abstract

WHO states that many mental health problems arise in late childhood and early adolescence because this period is full of physical and mental changes before reaching adulthood so adolescents have to adapt to many things that if they cannot handle the existing problems, can lead to disappointment and frustration. a sense of failure and susceptibility to mental disorders, one of which is depression. Depression is the third largest psychological disorder which is estimated to occur in 5% of the world's population (WHO, 2013). In a month about 4-5 teenagers come to consult. Adolescents who came to consult with clinical psychologists ranged in age from 17-25 years with varied educational backgrounds, and the adolescents who consulted the most were aged 19-22 years. Most show symptoms of severe depression and self-harm to the point of almost committing suicide.

Abstract

Self-acceptance is the attitude of the individual feeling satisfied with himself and adjusting fully, and unconditionally to accepting himself. Adolescents need family support in the formation of self-acceptance. This study aims to determine the picture of self-acceptance in adolescents who live at home and who live in the Sonaf Maneka Orphanage, Lasiana Village. The approach used is a quantitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The data collection technique used a self-acceptance scale with the results of a measuring instrument trial using a Cronbach Alpha Scale value of 0.633. The respondents to this study were teenagers aged 15-20 years totaling 48 teenagers living in Lasiana village. The results of the study found that self-acceptance in adolescents living at home and living in orphanages was in the moderate category. However, based on the age of adolescents living in nursing homes, the age range is 15-16 years, with 4 respondents (8.3%).

Abstract

Cinderella complex occurs because of the powerlessness in women caused by a lack of independence. Cinderella complex women who are in a relationship will do anything to their partner as long as they always together even though often experience violence both physically and verbally, women still do not want to be separated from their partner because they are very dependent on and need him and even consider as someone who will help her to live a better life. The aims of this study are to know tends and dominant factor of Cinderella complex at sixth semester of Psychology Study Program students, Public Health Faculty, Undana. It is a quantitative descriptive study. This study’s respondent are 123 students aged 20-23 years old. The results are students’ tendency to Cinderella complex is on medium level (89,43%), 21 years old and class A and C students tend to Cinderella complex is on high level. Self-infused submissiveness is the most dominant factor on Cinderella complex.

Abstract

Everyone is born in weak (inferior) and tries to achieve personal or group superiority which can be in the form of positive or negative behavior. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and the tendency of cyberbullying behavior. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. Research participants are students in Kupang City. How to take samples using cluster sampling. Data collection used the Rossenberg Self Esteem Scale (Cronbach'=0.848) and the cyberbullying scale (Cronbach'=0.816) which were compiled based on cyberbullying aspects by Topcu Baker and Willard. Data analysis using Rank Spearman. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant relationship between self-esteem and the tendency of cyberbullying behavior in a negative direction.

Abstract

Online gaming addiction is a disorder caused by excessive gaming habits. Addiction can harm a person's psychological health. Addicted online gamers can do negative things, such as being aggressive, saying dirty or rude words, abandoning important activities, and changing in eating and sleeping patterns. Someone who is addicted to online games ultimately does not care about the surrounding environment because they tend to be absorbed in their world. This study aims to determine the description of online game addiction in adolescents at SMK Negeri 1 Kupang. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Respondents in this study were 241 students aged 15-18 years old. The results of the data analysis showed that 51% of students experienced addiction.
