Aesthetic education is an aspect of art education in schools whose implementation is very diverse. The diversity in the implementation is thought to be due to differences in the teacher’s ideology on aesthetic education. The teacher's perception of aesthetic education must be influenced by the ideology he/she embraces. Therefore, field research is needed to provide an explanation of the teacher’s ideology and the implementation of aesthetic education at school. Problems to be solved through this research were (1) how is the ideology and understanding of teacher’s art about aesthetic education and (2) how is the implementation of aesthetic education at school. This research utilized a qualitative approach with cultural ecology model. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The target of this research was art and culture teachers of Junior High School in Semarang. The results showed that in carrying out the learning of art and culture all teachers refer to the school-based (KTSP) curriculum and the 2013 Curriculum. Almost all art and cultural teachers carry out the learning process in accordance with the guidelines of the curriculum although they still adjust to school conditions. According to the art and culture teachers, in fact, the substance of the two curricula is not very much different; both are based on students and learning strategies using a scientific approach. This study is based on the performance of education supervisors, the performance of madrasah principals, the performance of professional teachers, and the performance of madrasah committees, which synergize into the model of effective madrasah tsanawiyah in Purbalingga District. The problems raised in this study are (1) whether the relationships among the variables affecting the effectiveness of madrasah can be empirically tested and (2) how the contribution of education supervisors, heads of madrash, professional teachers, and madrasah committees to the quality of madrasah processes and effectiveness. This research was designed as a correlational study using path analysis. The population of this study was all professional teachers in 31 of 39 public and private MTs accredited "A" and "B" in Purbalingga District. The total number of population was 334 people with the error rate of 10%. The sample size was 150 people. The data were analyzed based on the structural equation model (SEM) using AMOS. Based on the data analysis, it was found that: First, there is a correlation between the conceptual model and the empirically tested model. Second, the performance of education supervisor, head of madrasah, professional teacher, and madrasah committee have an effect on the quality process. The contribution of the exogenous variable influence was 89.9%, the rest 10.1% was influenced by other factors beyond the model. Third, the contribution of quality process variable, education supervisor, head of madrasah, professional teacher, and madrasah committee on effective madrasah was 93.4%, the rest 6.6% was influenced by other factors. Fourth, the model can be used to predict effective madrasahs with the effort of managing the tested exogenous variables. It can be recommended that the effective madrasah tsanawiyah model can be used to predict the effectiveness of madrasah by prioritizing on quality process variables, professional teacher performance, madrasah head performance, and madrasah committees performance, with various sciences and insights.

Abstract

For students graduating from the automotive engineering education study program, this study aims to (1) determine a competency-based block system practice learning management model to improve the students’ skills; (2) to implement the competency-based block system practice learning management model; (3) to know the level of effectiveness of the model. This research implemented a research and development (R&D) approach including (1) preliminary studies including needs and contents analyses, (2) development including design, implementation and evaluation, and (3) testing the effectiveness of the product as a semi-summative evaluation. The data for this study were drawn using interview, documentation, observation, and questionnaires. The data were validated by testing their reliability and validity. The data were then analyzed using descriptive percentages and quantitative models. The results of the subsequent analyses were transformed into constructs of percentages of feasibility in the implementation of practical learning activities. The results of the study show that (1) the factual model has not been equipped with an analysis of the basic needs of practice, the formulation of objectives of the block practice, the design of the practice program, the implementation of the practice program, and the evaluation of the block practice programs so that the student’s proficiency level is still low; (2) the results of the validation from management experts and FGD indicate that the conceptual model of learning is feasible to be applied in learning activities; (3) after going through various suggestions and improvements to the hypothetical model it proved to be feasible to apply in learning. The model of automotive learning systems is very effective and easy to implement.

This study was done using a type of quantitative research supported by qualitative data obtained from interviews, with a cross sectional approach. The sample used in this study were 78 respondents obtained by using simple random sampling technique. The data collection techniques were done by using interview, observation, and documentation (diagnostic report sheet of a dermatologist). The data analysis in this study was done using Descriptive Statistics, Chi Square and Multiple Logistics Regression tests. The results showed that there was an effect of changing socks used for work (p=0.000), the practice of washing and drying feet after work (p=0.000), the practice of washing shoes after being worn to work (p=0.000), individual characteristics (age (p=0.031), gender (p=0.046), education (p=0.024) and working period  (p=0.020) on the incidence of Tinea pedis among scavengers at the Final Disposal Site (TPA) Jatibarang, Semarang in 2018. The results of the logistic regression showed that the most dominant factors for causing the incidence of Tinea pedis on scavengers at the Final Disposal Site (TPA) Jatibarang, Semarang in 2018 is the practice of washing shoes after being used to work with an adjusted OR or Exp (B) = 45.179. Abstract

Masks have various roles and functions in various regions and countries, including the use of masks as manifestations, worship tools, funeral equipment, dance costume attributes, and others. Masks are considered as carvings that reflect individual characteristics. In Malang, East Java, Indonesia, there is a Malang Mask tradition that is an icon of the city and inspired by the Panji story. Some masks are kept in museums, while others are used as props for the Malang Mask Dance. The Panji Museum and Kampung Topeng are places that preserve the history of the Malang Mask so that it does not become extinct. Unfortunately, these places do not provide complete information about the character of each mask, so visitors are often confused. Therefore, researchers developed an application that can present infographics of the character of each mask along with its philosophical meaning. The development method used is the Borg Gall model, which is simplified into 7 steps due to time constraints. The result is an Augmented Reality-based Panji Story Mask infographic application that depicts the masks and costumes worn by the dancers along with their philosophical meanings. The depiction of the character of each mask is expected to be an example for the younger generation to understand good and bad traits. This digital application is also expected to improve the image of the museum and become a learning medium for students and the general public.
