Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini berlatar belakang dari kurang optimalnya perkembangan kognitif pada anak usia dini di kelompok B TK Seulanga Daya dikarenakan proses pembelajaran yang  monoton. Hal ini seharusnya menjadikan guru dalam memberikan materi pembelajaran yang aktif dan kreatif dengan bermain, anak dapat lebih berpikir kritis dan logis seperti hal yang anak lakukan yaitu menggunakan simbol, mengklasifikasikan benda dan mengurutkan benda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berhitung melalui permainan balok angka pada anak kelompok B Di TK Seulanga Daya. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif Classroom Action Research. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok B sebanyak 20 anak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilaksanakan menunjukan bahwa Pra-Siklus memperoleh nilai 35%, Siklus I 70%, dan Siklus II 92%. Hal ini dapat dimaknai bahwa Kemampuan Berhitung Melalui Permainan Balok Angka Pada Anak Kelompok B Di TK Seulanga Daya yang telah dilaksanakan meningkat. Sehingga persentase peningkatan kemampuan berhitung anak telah mecapai indikator keberhasilan. Kata kunci: Kemampuan Berhitung, Balok Angka, Kognitif  IMPROVING COUNTING ABILITY THROUGH NUMBER BLOK GAMES IN GROUP B CHILDREN AT SEULANGA DAYA KINDERGARTEN Abstract This study is based on the less than optimal cognitive development in early childhood in group B of Seulanga Daya Kindergarten due to the monotonous learning process. This should make teachers provide active and creative learning materials by playing, children can think more critically and logically like what children do, namely using symbols, classifying objects and sorting objects. This study aims to improve counting skills through number block games in group B children at Seulanga Daya Kindergarten. This type of research is a qualitative Classroom Action Research. The subjects in this study were group B children as many as 20 children. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it shows that the Pre-Cycle obtained a value of 35%, Cycle I 70%, and Cycle II 92%. It can be interpreted that the ability to count through the game of number blocks in group B children at Seulanga Daya kindergarten has increased. So that the percentage increase in children's counting ability has reached the success indicator. Keywords: Counting Ability, Number Blocks, Cognitive

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the team games tournament(TGT) learning model to the learning outcomes of students on threedimensional material. Students of grade XII MIPA 5 SMA Negeri 9 BandaAceh who were the sample of this study amounted to 29 people selected throughthe purpose sampling technique. The approach used in this study is aquantitative approach with pre-test and post-test research types Data collectiontechniques use tests, observation, and documentation. Through the IndependentSample Test output table, t is calculated |-13.453| > 1.703 t table with sig. (2tailed) is 0.000 (p < 0.005) so it is significant. It can be concluded that theapplication of the team games tournament (TGT) learning model can improvestudent learning outcomes on three-dimensional material.

Abstract

Students experience difficulties in working on and solving non-routine problems. This means that students' high-level thinking abilities are still relatively low. One solution isto use HOTS-based LKPD through the problem[1]based learning model. The aim of this research is to find out whether HOTS[1]based LKPD through the PBL model is effective in reducing absolute value inequality. This research is a type of quantitative research. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental design in the form of a nonequivalent control group design. The sample in this study was determined using the purposeful sampling technique. The experimental class was given treatment using HOTS-based LKPD via the PBL model, while the control class used a conventional learning model. The techniques and tools for collecting data for this research are through tests and documentation. The data analysis technique was tested through descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis, as well as the N-Gain Score test. The results of this research show that learning using HOTS-based LKPD through the PBL model in the experimental class is within the effective criteria with a percentage level of effectiveness of 81.21%, while learning using the conventional model in the control class is within the criteria of being quite effective with a percentage level of effectiveness of 54.47 percent. The conclusion is that the HOTS-based LKPD through the PBL model is effective in reducing absolute value inequality material.

Abstract

This study aimed to produce a distance learning design for the Group Theorycourse to improve the 4C skills of prospective mathematics teachers. Thisresearch is included in Research and Development (R&D), which consists ofthree stages, namely: (1) a preliminary study, (2) development studies, and (3)product effectiveness tests. The research results show that the distance learningdesign developed is feasible and effective for the learning process. Tests Theresearch results are grouped into two parts: (1) tests for aspects of problemsolving and critical thinking skills and (2) non-tests to assess creativity andinnovation, communication, and collaboration. Regarding critical thinkingskills, there are differences in students' critical thinking in distance learningdesigns and group learning theory. However, for problem-solving skills,student problem-solving is the same as distance learning designs in grouptheory learning subjects. For the results of the questionnaire data analysis, it isknown that the indicators for achieving creativity and innovation,communication, and collaboration are above 50%. This shows that the distancelearning design of the Group Theory course has succeeded in increasing theskills of prospective 21st-century mathematics teachers.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low learning outcomes of students. The low learning outcomes are influenced by a lack of understanding of the learning material, which is caused by students' passive involvement in the learning process, such as lack of concentration, limited active participation, and an inability to relate the learning material to everyday life. The aim of this research is to improve learning outcomes by using the Discovery Learning model. This research is a quantitative study. The research method used is an experimental method, with the experimental design being a Pre-Experimental Design, specifically the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Lamcot Aceh Besar. The population of the study consisted of all third-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Lamcot Aceh Besar, and the data were collected using Purposive Sampling. The sample consisted of 21 students selected from class III-A. Based on the results of the study, there was a significant improvement in students' learning outcomes before and after the intervention. The average pretest score was 53%, and after the treatment, the average posttest score increased to 83%. The conclusion drawn from this study is that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model can improve students' learning outcomes. Therefore, the use of the Discovery Learning model can be considered as one of the effective teaching methods to be applied in Mathematics learning.

Abstract

Kemampuan representasi matematis sangat penting untuk dimiliki dan dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan representasi matematis siswa, serta bentuk representasi matematis yang muncul. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi kasus terhadap empat siswa SMP Kelas VII dengan kemampuan sedang, yang dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran Mengenal Bentuk Aljabar. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada semester ganjil pada tahun ajaran 2022/2023 sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan yaitu angket, wawancara, dan lembar analisis pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa kelas VII merupakan siswa tahap abstraksi awal sehingga kemampuan representasi matematis belum banyak muncul dan berkembang dengan baik. Adapun bentuk representasi yang muncul yaitu representasi simbolik dengan tipe rendah dimana masih terdapat Gap antara berpikir konkrit dengan kemampuan abstraksi awal. Beberapa hal yang mempengaruhi munculnya kemampuan representasi adalah motivasi yang tinggi dalam memecahkan masalah, metode belajar yang disajikan, dan kemampuan siswa dalam belajar matematika. Mathematical representation ability is very important to develop. This study aimed to analyze students' mathematical representation abilities, as well as the forms of mathematical representations that appear. This study used case studies of four Grade VII junior high school students with moderate abilities, which were carried out in Recognizing Algebraic Shapes. The research was carried out in the odd semester of the 2022/2023 academic year in three meetings. The data collection techniques utilized questionnaires, interviews, and problem-solving analysis sheets. The results showed that class VII students were students at the early abstraction stage, so their mathematical representation abilities had not emerged and developed well. The form of representation that appears was symbolic representation with a low type where there was still a gap between concrete thinking and initial abstraction abilities. Some of the things that influenced the emergence of representational abilities were high motivation in solving problems, the learning methods presented, and students' abilities in learning mathematics.

Abstract

Kecemasan matematika (math anxiety) merupakan salah satu masalah yang dialami mahasiswa calon guru, termasuk mahasiswa PGSD, yang dapat memengaruhi kepercayaan diri dan efektivitas mereka dalam mengajar. Model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) diyakini mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan aktif mahasiswa melalui pengalaman belajar bermakna sehingga berpotensi menurunkan kecemasan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi penerapan PjBL pada mata kuliah Matematika SD dalam mengurangi kecemasan matematika mahasiswa PGSD Universitas Bina Bangsa Getsempena (UBBG). Penelitian menggunakan metode evaluatif dengan desain post-test only survey yang melibatkan 185 mahasiswa. PjBL diterapkan melalui penyelesaian proyek matematika berbasis konteks nyata pembelajaran SD secara kolaboratif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket kecemasan matematika yang mencakup indikator physiological tension, worry, avoidance, dan self-confidence, serta diperkuat oleh data Evaluasi Dosen oleh Mahasiswa (EDO) sebagai data kuantitatif pendukung persepsi mahasiswa terhadap proses pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 167 mahasiswa (90,27%) berada pada kategori kecemasan rendah, 18 mahasiswa (9,73%) pada kategori sedang, dan tidak ditemukan kecemasan tinggi. Temuan ini selaras dengan hasil EDO yang menunjukkan tingkat antusiasme tinggi, pembelajaran yang dirasakan menyenangkan, serta kemudahan pemahaman materi. Dengan demikian, penerapan PjBL terbukti efektif dalam mengurangi kecemasan matematika dan meningkatkan keterlibatan belajar mahasiswa PGSD, serta memberikan implikasi positif bagi pengembangan pembelajaran matematika yang lebih humanis dan kontekstual di program studi PGSD.

Abstract

Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) learning in elementary schools plays a very important role in developing students’ logical, critical, and creative thinking skills in understanding various natural and social phenomena occurring in their surrounding environment. However, in its implementation at the elementary school level, various problems are still found, particularly related to the low level of students’ creativity during IPAS learning. This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Project-Based Learning model on improving students’ creativity in IPAS learning for Grade V at SDN 14 Banda Aceh, as well as to describe the level of students’ creativity after the implementation of the learning model. This research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a One Group Pre-test–Post-test Design. The research subjects involved all 22 students of Grade V A at SDN 14 Banda Aceh. Data were collected through a creativity test administered before the treatment (pretest) and after the treatment (posttest). The obtained data were then analyzed using the Paired Sample t-Test, preceded by prerequisite tests in the form of normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the data analysis using statistical software showed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted and the null hypothesis was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Project-Based Learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ creativity in IPAS learning for Grade V at SDN 14 Banda Aceh

Abstract

Student learning outcomes in mathematics for Class V remain low, particularly in the flat shapes material, due to the limited use of innovative and engaging learning media. This study aims to: (1) describe the development process of the Quartet Mathematics Card learning media based on Acehnese culture for flat shapes material for Class V students at SDN Lamlhom; (2) describe the validity and practicality of the media; and (3) determine its effectiveness in improving student learning outcomes. This study employed the Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research subjects were 22 Class V students at SDN Lamlhom. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, tests, and documentation. The results show that: (1) the media was developed through five systematic ADDIE stages; (2) the media was rated highly valid with a validity percentage of 99.22% and highly practical with a practicality percentage of 95.59%; and (3) the media was highly effective in improving student learning outcomes, as indicated by a classical mastery rate of 90.91% and an N-Gain value of 0.76, categorized as high, with an effectiveness percentage of 76.77%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of using place value boards on the ability of third-grade students to recognize place value at SD Negeri 25, Banda Aceh City. Place value is a basic concept in mathematics that is very important as a foundation for understanding arithmetic operations.However, many students still experience difficulties because learning is often delivered abstractly and lacks concrete media support. This study used a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest–posttest design. The subjects were third-grade students who were first given a pretest, then received treatment through learning using a place value board, and finally, a posttest. The instruments used included tests, observation sheets, and documentation. The analysis results showed a significant improvement in student learning outcomes after the implementation of the place value board. Furthermore, student activity and engagement in the learning process also increased. Students found it easier to understand the position and value of a number and were more enthusiastic in participating in learning activities. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of the place value board has a positive influence on the ability to recognize place value in grade III students. This media can be used as an alternative learning medium for mathematics in elementary schools to make learning more concrete, interesting, and meaningful
