Abstract

Pupuk organik diperkaya memiliki kandungan unsur hara yang lengkap, sehingga cocok diaplikasikan pada budidaya tabulampot jambu air Madu Deli Hijau (MDH). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pupuk organik diperkaya terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif  tabulampot jambu air MDH. Penelitian ini dilakukan di lahan percobaan mulai bulan Maret sampai Juli 2018, menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok  dengan 3 perlakuan, yaitu: kontrol negatif (tanpa pupuk), kontrol positif (penambahan Urea dan NPK), dan penambahan pupuk organik dosis 3 kg/pot. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk organik diperkaya berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter pertambahan jumlah daun dan jumlah cabang primer, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata pada pertambahan tinggi dan jumlah cabang sekunder. Hasil uji Duncan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk organik diperkaya memiliki pengaruh yang sama dengan kontrol positif, sehingga aplikasi pupuk organik diperkaya pada tabulampot jambu air MDH dianggap  efektif dan mampu menggantikan aplikasi pupuk anorganik.

Abstract

The OHE Post is a Community Based Health Effort (CBHE) for informal workers from, by and for workers by prioritizing promotive and preventive efforts. Workers in the informal sector have the potential for complex risks in their activities, which bring about various health problems for workers, one of which is low Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (CHLB).. The location of community service is at OHE Akar Dewa Jati Post and Putri Emas Post in Kendit District, Situbondo Regency, totaling 40 people. The method of implementation is to provide counseling related to hand washing using soap, healthy latrines, waste supply, use of clean water and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Focus Group Discussion and assistance from the Informal and Agricultural Sector Public Health Research Group (KESMASEK) at the University of Jember. The mentoring was carried out for one month, the results of the health promotion assessment were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed rank test. The results and impact of this community service activity on CHLB is that there are differences in CHLB in the workplace for informal wood furniture workers in the working area of ​​the Kendit Health Center before and after health promotion. This includes improving the knowledge, attitudes and actions of the OHE Post furniture workers in the Kendit Health Center Work Area, Situbondo Regency. Abstract

Sponge plastic is one of the plastic wastes that is difficult to degrade. Recently research reported that Tenebrio molitor L larvae have the potential capability to degrade plastic waste. But still a lack information according to the effect of feed composition on survival, and growth of T. molitor L larvae. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of plastic feed composition on the rate of degradation of sponge plastic waste, survival, and growth of T. molitor L larvae. The method used in this study was an experimental laboratory using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) and using controls and six treatments with 3 repetition times. The parameters measured in this study were survival (%), body length growth (cm/week) and body biomass (gram/week), and degradation rate (gram/week). The data obtained from the research results will be analyzed using ANOVA which is then tested by Duncan. The results showed that feed composition had a significant effect (p=0.001) on the rate of degradation of plastic sponge waste, survival (p=0.000), and growth (p=0.001) of T. molitor L larvae. degradation, survival, and growth of T. molitor L. larvae.

Abstract

Fertilisers, especially those containing NPK nutrients, have become a necessity in farming both rice fields and dry land. Most of the application of fertilisers is based on plant commodities and less based on the nature of the diversity of the soil or growing media. This study aimed to determine the balance of NPK nutrients and the nutrient elements that became the limiting factor in the rice and dryland maize cropping systems. The study was conducted at a rice field in Jember District and on dry land in Bogor District with maize plants. The fertiliser used is organic fertiliser. Nutrient balance is obtained by calculating the difference between the total input of nutrients N, P, and K given and the total output of nutrients N, P, and K transported by plants. The results showed that the combination of fertilizing treatment with biochar (50%), fish waste (25%), and chicken manure (25%) up to 10 t/ha on rice field soil at the experimental location in Jember had to limit factors for plant growth: low organic matter content, trace elements essential nutrients N and P are also low. Likewise, the combination of inorganic NPK fertiliser treatment with organic fertiliser up to 600 kg/ha on dry land in Bogor has not been able to improve its fertility status with limiting factors: low organic matter content, low N-total, and low exchangeable K.

Abstract

Pertanian hortikultura merupakan sektor strategis bagi masyarakat Tengger di wilayah Bromo. Selain mengacu pada sektor pariwisata yang ada, sektor pertanian juga tidak kalah pentingnya dibuktikan dengan kebergantungan Masyarakat Tengger terhadap pertanian yang tinggi. Desa Ngadisari Kecamatan Sukapura, Probolinggo merupakan salah satu desa di wilayah Bromo yang memiliki potensi dalam sektor pertanian khususnya hortikultura. Namun, belum adanya sistem pertanian yang maksimal membuat diterapkannya inovasi hilirisasi produk hortikultura dengan tujuan meningkatkan produktifitas dan kesejahteraan hidup petani. Tentunya dengan adanya dukungan dari berbagai pihak terutama penyuluh dalam menyediakan pelayanan penyuluhan petani. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat hilirisasi dan pelayanan penyuluhan saat pandemi Covid-19 sekaligus menganalisis faktor apa saja dalam pelayanan penyuluhan yang berpengaruh terhadap hilirisasi produk hortikultura. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dilakukan di Desa Ngadisari Kabupaten Probolinggo pada bulan-Juli_Nopember 2022. Sampel 30 petani hortikultura secra random dari populasi 70 petani yang tergabung dalam 2 kelompok tani. Analisis yang digunakan yaitu diskriptif  dan inferensial regresi linear berganda. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan tingkat hilirisasi berada pada tingkatan cukup tinggi dan tinggi, sedangkan pada tingkat pelayanan penyuluhan berada pada tingkatan puas dan sangat puas. Faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap hilirisasi produk hortikultura yaitu aksi sosial penyuluh, akurasi perencanaan penyuluhan, pelaksanaan penyuluhan, dan pemenuhan harapan petani. Sisanya yaitu pengaplikasian teknik penyuluhan yang tepat tidak berpengaruh terhadap hilirisasi produk hortikultura.Kata Kunci : hilirisasi produk hortikultura, pelayanan penyuluhan, penyuluh pertanian

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Ngadisari – Kabupaten Probolinggo merupakan sentra produksi hortikultura di Jawa Timur. Komoditas unggulan di desa ini antara lain adalah kentang, daun bawang, kubis, dan tanaman hortikultura lainnya. Dalam proses budidaya, petani menghadapi serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman dari golongan patogen. Saat ini masalah tersebut diatasi dengan pestisida kimia sintetik. Namun demikian teknik tersebut dikeluhkan semakin mahal dan kurang efektif. Fenomena tersebut merupakan kendala yang dialami oleh petani tanaman hortikultura yang merupakan mitra pada program pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini. Secara umum masalah masyarakat mitra yaitu: (i) serangan organisme pengganggu tanaman yang menurunkan hasil produksi, (ii) belum memahami teknik budidaya sesuai good agricultural practices, dan (iii) belum memahami aplikasi praktis teknologi biointensif. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut telah dilakukan upaya dalam bentuk seminar, penyuluhan, dan pelatihan terkait implementasi teknologi biointensif dalam bentuk pembuatan dan aplikasi pupuk organik. Kegiatan dibagi menjadi beberapa aktivitas, yaitu tahap persiapan dan sosialisasi program, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap evaluasi, dan tahap penyusunan program lanjutan. Dari kegiatan ini diketahui petani mendapatkan keterampilan tambahan terkait produksi pupuk organik yang benar, dan memiliki motivasi yang lebih tinggi untuk menerapkan proses budidaya tanaman secara sehat. Melalui peningkatan keterampilan dan motivasi tersebut, diharapkan pada masa yang akan datang produksi pertanian di Desa Ngadisari dapat meningkat dan tingkat residu pestisidanya dapat menurun. Kata kunci: organic; pelatihan; penyuluhan; pupuk; tepat guna ABSTRACTHorticultural products are produced at Ngadisari Village in East Java's Probolinggo Regency. This village relies heavily on selling agricultural products like potatoes, spring onions, cabbage, and other vegetables. When cultivating crops, farmers often encounter pest problem. In order to address this issue, synthetic chemical pesticides are currently employed. Unfortunately, this approach has been panned for being costly. Below are some of the big concerns of the partner community: (i) reduced yields due to pest attacks, (ii) not knowing how to grow using good agricultural practices, and (iii) not knowing how to put bio-intensive technologies to use in the field. Seminar, extension, and training related to bio-intensive technologies' production of organic fertilizer have been conducted to address this issue. Activities are subdivided into various steps, such as planning, executing the plan, and collecting feedback. As a result of participating in this activity, farmers gain knowledge and motivation to produce plants more sustainably, and they are better able to produce organic fertilizers. Abstract

The soil contaminated by lime mud has a high content of Ca and Na. It affects the availability of nutrients within the soil. Calcareous soil conditions tend to disperse, sensitive to washing and erosion. Meanwhile, the availability of P nutrients is also low due to the binding of P by Ca in the form of (Ca3PO4)2 that leads the soil productivity to be low. Organic material is a soil enhancer which has complete function, easily available, abundant and can increase P nutrients especially for the plants in the long-term. Hence, the objective of this research was to observe the response of increasing level of soil P contaminated by lime mud and P uptake in maize plant tissues toward the treatment of adding organic material. The research design used in this study was factorial randomized block design comprising of two factors and three replications. The first factor was the source of fertilizer (1) no fertilizer (P0), (2) animal waste bokashi (P1), (3) straw bokashi (P2), (4) guano organic (P3), and (5) NPK inorganic (P4). The second factor was (1) polluted soil (T1) and (2) unpolluted soil (T2). The results revealed that combination of fertilizer types and planting media could significantly increase soil Ca and wet weight of maize crops, additionally gave impact indirectly toward soil pH, P and C-Organic content in the soil, P uptake, plant height, root volume, and dry weight of maize crops. By doing a treatment of giving animal waste bokashi fertilizer combined with contaminated soil media, it apparently produced better results than controlling, and resulted better product than treating them with straw bokashi fertilizer and guano organic fertilizer.

Abstract

Praktik-praktik pertanian intensif saat ini banyak berakibat pada menurunnya status kesuburan tanah. Salah satunya adalah banyak lahan pertanian mempunyai faktor pembatas kadar bahan organik tanah rendah hingga sangat rendah. Pengukuran kadar bahan organik tanah membutuhkan waktu yang lama, mahal, dan tidak tersedia di semua laboratorium sehingga banyak perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan belum terimplemetasikan di lapangan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengukur efektivitas penentuan warna tanah berbasis andorid terhadap warna tanah. Warna tanah didasarkan pada warna yang ada dalam Munsell Soil Color Chart. Penelitian dilakukan di Kota Bogor, Jember, dan Bondowoso serta di Laboratorium Kimia dan Kesuburan Universitas Jember. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode survey lapang dan pengamatan warna tanah di laboratorium dengan sampel tanah kering angin dan lembab dengan jarak pemotretan dengan tanah 20 cm, 25 cm, dan 30 cm dengan alat bantu photo box. Fokus penelitian ini pada nilai value dan chroma. Penggunaan andorid untuk menentukan warna tanah mudah dan cepat namun berdasarkan evaluasi efektivitasnya masih kurang efektif yaitu nilai tertinggi pada faktor tunggal value tanah kondisi kering angin dan jarak pemotretan 20 cm sebesar 57,89% dan chroma tanah lembab jarak pemotretan 30 cm sebesar 52,63%. Oleh karena itu sebelum software ini digunakan secara luas perlu perbaikan untuk meningkatkan nilai efektivitasnya. Saran untuk meningkatkannya adalah sampling tanah yang akan diuji disiapkan dalam kotak dengan luasan sesuai dengan fokus pengambilan gambar dan ketebalan yang telah ditetapkan untuk mendapatkan warna tanah homogen.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDesa Sukorambi di Jember, Jawa Timur, merupakan wilayah yang mayoritas penduduknya menggantungkan hidup dari sektor pertanian. Namun, petani di Desa Sukorambi menghadapi tantangan serius akibat serangan hama yang mengakibatkan penurunan hasil panen yang signifikan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini, diperlukan teknologi pengendalian hayati menggunakan cendawan entomopatogen Metarhizium sp. dan cendawan Trichoderma sp. Sebagai langkah awal, dilakukan sosialisasi dan diskusi dengan mitra dan perangkat Desa Sukorambi untuk memahami permasalahan yang dihadapi dan mengenalkan solusi teknologi yang akan diterapkan. Kemudian, program melibatkan penyusunan materi pelatihan dan pembagian tugas untuk memudahkan pelaksanaan kegiatan. Pelatihan produksi agens hayati berbasis cendawan dilakukan dalam dua pertemuan dengan praktek langsung menggunakan bioreaktor sederhana. Kegiatan pelatihan dan sosialisasi mendapatkan respon positif dan antusias dari masyarakat petani di Desa Sukorambi. Pemahaman, keterampilan, dan motivasi petani mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah pelatihan. Skor pemahaman meningkat dari 3 menjadi 7, keterampilan dari 2,93 menjadi 8, dan motivasi dari 4,2 menjadi 7,4. Diharapkan teknologi pengendalian hayati dengan cendawan entomopatogen dan Trichoderma ini dapat membantu mengatasi masalah serangan hama yang selama ini menghambat pertanian di Desa Sukorambi. Dengan penerapan teknologi yang tepat, diharapkan hasil pertanian akan meningkat secara signifikan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani serta keberlanjutan pertanian di wilayah tersebut. Kata kunci: bioreaktor; keterampilan; Metarhizium; motivasi; Trichoderma ABSTRACTSukorambi Village, located in Jember, East Java, heavily relies on agriculture for its livelihood. However, farmers face a significant challenge due to pest infestations causing substantial crop yield losses. To address this, the adoption of biologically-based control technology using entomopathogenic fungi Metarhizium sp. and Trichoderma sp. becomes essential. The program began with socialization and discussions involving partners and stakeholders from Sukorambi Village to understand the problems and introduce the proposed solution. Training materials were prepared, and tasks were allocated for seamless execution. Training sessions for bioagents production using fungi were conducted in two phases, incorporating hands-on practice with a user-friendly bioreactor. The initiatives received positive responses from the farming community, with significant improvements in understanding, skills, and motivation. Implementing biologically-based control technology with entomopathogenic fungi and Trichoderma holds promise to effectively address persistent pest challenges, boosting agricultural productivity and improving farmers' socio-economic well-being sustainably. Keywords: bioreactor; skill; Metarhizium; motivation; Trichoderma

Abstract

Introduction: The level of adherence of adolescent female to the consumption of Fe tablets is an indicator of the success of the program of giving Fe tablets. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of the use of android-based applications as a monitoring system for adherence with adolescent female consuming Fe tablets . Methods: This research approach is quantitative Quasi Experimental using Pre-Post Control Group Design. This study observes or measures the independent variable and the dependent variable at the same time or at one time. The population of this study was the female youth of SMAN 5 Jember grade 3 with a total of 123 respondents. The technique of taking simple random sampling consisted of 2 groups, 39 adolescent female became the experimental group by being given an android application and 39 adolescent female became the control group. The technique of collecting data is in the form of questionnaires and observations to determine the respondent's adherence with consuming Fe tablets . Results: Data analysis used a comparison test between the control and experimental groups with a P value of 0.000 less than 0.05. There is a significant difference between the adherence of adolescent female to take Fe tablets between the experimental group and the control group. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is an effective use of android-based applications that can increase the adherence of adolescent female in consuming Fe tablets compared to the provision of activities that have been running previously. It is hoped that there will be development on an Android-based application to add blood to be used as a monitoring system.
