Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of organizational culture on employee retention and performance in the technology industry, which has a high level of competition and a dynamic work environment. Using a quantitative approach, this study adopted a correlational study design and involved 300 respondents working in various technology companies in Indonesia. Data were obtained through a survey and analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The study results indicate that an organizational culture that supports collaboration, innovation, and personal development has a significant positive impact on employee job satisfaction and loyalty, increasing retention rates. In addition, a culture that encourages creativity and adaptation to technological changes also contributes to increased employee performance. Cultural dimensions such as managerial support and communication transparency were found to positively influence retention, while innovation and career development were shown to improve individual performance. The study also found that companies with a strong organizational culture, which emphasizes providing space for creativity and autonomous decisions, show higher retention rates, especially among young professionals. These findings underscore the importance of building and maintaining a positive organizational culture to improve employee retention and drive optimal performance in technology companies. The results of this study are expected to provide valuable insights for company leaders in designing effective organizational culture strategies to increase competitiveness in a highly competitive market.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the worlds leading tuna-producing countries. Under the Quota Based Fishing (Penangkapan Ikan Terukur/PIT), its Exclusive Economic Zone (ZEEI) in the Indian Ocean is designated as zone 04 of PIT. This research aims to analyzing the characteristics of tuna fisheries in the zone 04 (Indonesian Fisheries Management Area/IFMA 572 and 573), including tuna production by fishing gear and by port landing, species composition by gear, Landing per Unit Efforts (LPUE) by gear and by tuna species. The most dominant fishing gear for tuna is lines (hand lines, troll lines, kite lines, and rod handlines). Purse seines and longlines also caught a lot of tuna, but their percentages were still lower. The dominant tuna species caught was yellowfin tuna, which came from all types of fishing gear. The average LPUE in 2024 for gillnets was 28.6 kg/days, lines 56 kg/days, purse seine 161 kg/days, longline 58.5 kg/days, and pole and line 268 kg/trip/day. The abundance of ALB was highest in July, but the trend has been increasing since March and began to decline in last year. Pole and line and purse seine were the most productive fishing gear for catching tuna. The abundance of YFT varied greatly with high abundance in March, July, and October. The abundance of BET was high in February, July, and September. SBT is highly abundant in March, April, and July, with some months being empty. Benoa Public Port is recorded as the port with the highest production within Zone 04.Keywords:Tuna fisheriesIndian OceanTuna ProductionComposition speciesLPUEFishing Quotas

Abstract

Analysis of Student Satisfaction with University Management Services. Introduction: This study aimed to determine and measure student satisfaction with the quality of services at Syekh-Yusuf Islamic University, adapting a service quality model by incorporating an additional dimension, "Information Systems." Furthermore, the research compared satisfaction levels based on demographic factors such as age, gender, employment status, marital status, study program, and year of entry. Objectives: This study aimed to determine and measure student satisfaction with the quality of services at Syekh-Yusuf Islamic University and to compare satisfaction levels based on age, gender, employment status, marital status, study program, and year of entry. Methods: A descriptive quantitative research design with a cross-sectional survey approach was employed. Data were collected from 576 students at Syekh-Yusuf Islamic University using a 30-item service satisfaction instrument across six dimensions (tangibles, responsiveness, reliability, assurance, empathy, and information systems) with a Likert scale of 1-5. Instrument validity was tested using Pearson correlation and reliability with Cronbach's alpha. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test for normality, and non-parametric tests (Mann-Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis) for mean differences due to non-normal distribution in certain demographic groups. Findings: Overall student satisfaction with UNIS services was 3.88 out of 5 (77.63% satisfaction). Tangibles received the highest satisfaction, while responsiveness was the lowest. Significant differences were found based on age, faculty, and year of enrollment (p-value less than 0.05). However, no differences were found based on gender or parental income (p-value higher than 0.05). Conclusion: This study measures student satisfaction with services at Syekh-Yusuf Islamic University, adapting a service quality model by incorporating the "Information Systems" dimension. The research compares satisfaction across demographic factors such as age, gender, employment status, marital status, study program, and year of entry. Findings suggest that while student satisfaction is generally positive, improvements are needed, especially in responsiveness, to meet the university's strategic goals of providing consistent and high-quality services to all students. Keywords: higher education, service quality, student satisfaction, university services.

Abstract

The old Sundanese people already had numeracy literacy or the ability to understand and use numbers. This is evident in some ancient Sundanese manuscripts. This study aims to describe the use of numbers philosophically in the life of the old Sundanese people. In the study, a qualitative approach with a descriptive method was used. Data were collected by bibliographic study techniques. Data sources are ancient Sundanese manuscripts Sanghyang Siksakandang Karesian (1518 AD) and several Sundanese culture books. The data is processed by immediate constituent analysis techniques. To carry out the philosophical interpretation of numeracy literacy used hermeneutic analysis techniques. The results of the study found five paradigms of numeracy literacy, namely numeracy paradigm- (two, three, four, five, and ten). These figures are used in philosophical expressions as Sundanese local wisdom. Philosophical values are related to character, social life, knowledge, education, leadership, and religion.
