Abstract

At this time, the architecture and design of the existing floor plan often changes according to the needs and tastes of the owner in accordance with the changing times. This research was conducted as precast concrete structures become even more important with the increase in man's desire to change the design of his home without spending enormous cost. This study aims to investigate the stiffness and study the behavior of precast concrete between monolith column with no connections and the column with connection. The connection used is dry joint using a plate and screw nut. The results obtained are the stiffness of the test specimen column with no connections is smaller than the test object column with connection. The modulus of elasticity of the column without a connection greater than the column with connection. Cracks that occurred in the test object columns without connection occurs faster than the test object columns with connection and both, flexural cracks occur first and then cracked in shear.

Abstract

Concrete is very common material used in reinforced concrete structure. There are several behaviors that influence its performance to the structure since its nonlinear behavior (Nawy, 1998). Nonlinear concrete behavior, besides can be obtained by experimental test result in laboratory, also can be conducted with one of the numerical simulation approach, namely finite element method. Based on the case, it will be conducted numerical modeling of concrete material with input the nonlinearity and orthotropic of concrete. Load-displacement response of concrete without reinforcement at small loading tends to linear then will be nonlinear when enters the cracking zone. Möhr and Kupfer failure criteria are used to evaluate the failure in concrete beam. Validation is a step conducted to view the validity from numerical study result that will be used as tools. Data resulted from experimental and numerical study is validated with research of Purkiss-Blagojevic (1993). This FEM program can be used as tools to analyze load-displacement response of concrete beam test specimen without reinforcement and predict the initial crack pattern happened.

Abstract

Structure Condotel Grand Darmo Suite Surabaya planned 13 floors and is located in the region quake 2. The final task is to plan the structure of the building of reinforced concrete using System Frame bearers Special Moment (SRPMK). Building System model frame bearers Special Moment (SRPMK) using the concept of Strong Column and Weak Beam (strong column and weak beam) in accordance with SNI 03-2847-2002 and SNI-1726-2002. Planning the structure of the building using the concept of design capacity. Structure is reviewed by using the analysis of load effects equivalent static and structural analysis calculated with the help of the program SAP2000 v11. Results of the structural design Condotel Grand Darmo Suite Surabaya consisting of concrete frame with reinforcement diameter (D22, D19, D16, D13, and P10), shear wall thickness of 25 cm, the roof using a reinforced concrete slab and foundation using concrete piles precast diameter of 40 cm and 50 cm. Calculations that have been done show that all elements of the building structure is safe in the analysis.

Abstract

Structure design of a high rise building using SNI 03-1726-2010 on this final report are designed to seismic zoning area of Semarang city using the Moment Resisting Frame System method with configuration structure collapse the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK). The Moment Resisting Frame System method, where the system basically has the burden resisting space frame gravity and lateral loads. The Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK) election expected to be a high rise building structure behave ductile, because structure is ductile energy dissipation capacity were large and has a good carrying capacity in the resist earthquake loads. This system is planned to use the concept of strong column weak beam, where the vertical elements of the structure (column) should be stronger than the horizontal elements of the structure (beam), to be plastically formed joints first on the beam. The joints meeting of the beam-column should also be well designed to avoid collapse first. This system can be used for planning a high rise building in an earthquake zone areas that have been determined. The analysis output structure of a high rise building using SNI 03-1726-2010 applied SAP2000 v10 software to determine the fundamental period of the structure and the forces acting on the structure. In the configuration of the structure collapse the Special Moment Resisting Frame System (SRPMK) fundamental structural period must be limited so that the structure is not very flexible. Results in the forces acting on the structure is used to design the structure of  high story building.

Abstract

Konstruksi dinding silo dirancang untuk menerima beban desak dalam arah radial. Namun akibat kondisi tertentu, orientasi konstruksi silo dapat mengalami ketidak-tegak-lurusan terhadap bidang horisontalnya. Pada kondisi seperti ini, dinding silo mengalami beban gabungan yang berupa berupa beban desak dalam arah radial dan beban gravitasi.  Paper ini membahas penentuan sudut kemiringan kritis konstruksi dinding silo yang dikaitkan dengan distribusi tegangan yang terjadi. Investigasi dilakukan dengan simulasi FEM untuk konstruksi silo dengan kapasitas penyimpanan sebesar 4650 ton, diamater 19 m dengan ketinggian 20,875 m. Hasil simulasi FEM menunjukkan bahwa pada sudut kemiringan 5o, tegangan maksimum yang terjadi sebesar 24,4 kg/mm2, dimana besar tegangan tersebut hampir mendekati tegangan yield material yaitu 25 kg/mm2. Abstract

A two-phase flow pattern experiment on the condensation event of steam flow with external cooling based on the measurement of pressure difference within a horizontal pipe is carried out by varying the superficial velocity. Annulus pipes with inner pipe material made of copper and outer pipe made of galvanized iron (GIP) within an insulation of 10 mm thick were used in this experiment. The length of the pipe is 1.6 meters, outer diameter of 4 inch and inner diameter of 17 mm. The two-phase flow pattern was investigated based on differential pressure fluctuations between the inlet and outlet. To support the observation, flow pattern visualization was performed using a transparent pipe with a diameter of ¾ inch and a length of 1.3 meters connected to the test pipe section. The superficial vapor velocity was carried out from JG = 0.0689 m/s to JG = 1,9117 m/s. The results showed stratified flow patterns for the lowest superficial velocity and also obtained wavy, wavy-slug, and slug. Annular flow patterns can not be observed in this experiment. In general, increasing superficial velocity of steam will cause a significant increase in pressure fluctuations.

Abstract

Cow dung waste at Srunen hamlet, Glagaharjo village, Cangkringan, Sleman is recorded to be high in quantity since it also has a high population of dairy cows. The high volume of cow dung waste leads to environment pollution, either water or air pollution. The environment pollution it causes may further trigger some problems regarding society’s health, safety and comfort. Thereby, the abundant quantity of cow dung waste needs to be well-managed and oriented for economics. One of among other technologies to manage cow dung waste which had never been implemented before is to utilize the waste as the raw material component of brick. Such brick production technology is not only environmentally friendly but is also resistant toward earthquake. This technology was introduced and implemented during the Community Service program at Glagaharjo village. The program was implemented through the methods of assessment and education, as well as feasibility test. Training and practice were conducted to adopt the technology of environmentally friendly and earthquake resistant cow dung brick. Further, the product was tested for its feasibility as construction material. The success of the program is shown from the society’s ability to produce the environmentally friendly and earthquake resistant brick which has also increased society’s income and the hamlet’s economy

Abstract

The effort to make cow dung has significant added value is the main purpose of this community service activity. The fact is still not much effort to increase the added value of cow dung such as making cow dung into organic fertilizer products with commercial value. Besides, this activity also aims to create a healthy community environment and provide an impact of economic improvement of local communities. Method of implementation of activity begins with observation and mapping area, socialization, implementation, analysis and evaluation, and improvement. The observations were conducted to review the Kalipucang Hamlet area as a whole, interviewing with all components of the community, such as village apparatus and villagers or viewing the field conditions directly as well as doing this mapping to clarify the situation and characteristics of Kalipucang Hamlet related to livestock and land, then socialized to the head of RT, Chairman of the RW, and the local village chief and community. Socialization also serves to explore more deeply about the problems experienced by the community and the solutions needed, so as to provide an output that is in accordance with the wishes and needs of the community. The location of the implementation of this program is in the cattle field of the group Andini Makmur, Kalipucang Hamlet, Bangunjiwo, Bantul, DIY. The series of activities of community service programs that will be carried out include several stages : organic fertilizer material delivery, construction of fertilizer production site, livestock collection, organic fertilizer practice, organic fertilizer monitoring, organic fertilizer cooperative system, launching and evaluation and mentoring. From this activity produced organic fertilizer and successfully established a cooperative that manages the process of making organic fertilizer, packing, until the commercialization. From this activity obtained significant added value in economic aspect as well as from the side of public health because no longer there is pollution from cow dung d neighborhood of residence. Keyword : Cow dung, organic fertilizer, community service, marketing.

Abstract

Pengujian eksperimental elemen beton bertulang di laboratorium memiliki kelemahan bahwa penyiapan benda uji sampai selesainya proses pengujian memerlukan waktu lama. Biaya yang tinggi mengakibatkan jumlah benda uji terbatas, dan beratnya elemen skala penuh merupakan kendala pada saat set-up. Tingkat ketidak-telitian dipengaruhi banyak faktor seperti ketersediaan alat presisi, kondisi laboratorium dan faktor kehandalan laboran. Agar perilaku sebuah elemen beton bertulang dapat dianalisa dengan teliti dan cepat, diperlukan sebuah model numeris yang dapat digunakan sebagai alat simulasi untuk menganalisa pengaruh variabel-variabel bebas pada perilaku elemen beton bertulang. Agar model numeris diyakini kehandalan dan ketelitiannya, perlu dilakukan beberapa tingkatan validasi, baik dari validasi sensitivitas model itu sendiri, maupun validasi terhadap data benda uji aktual di laboratorium. Model elemen hingga yang dikembangkan dalam studi ini dikhususkan pada kondisi tegangan lentur dan geser tinggi, akibat respon beban vertikal dan horizontal yang umum terjadi pada stuktur sesungguhnya di lapangan. Proses validasi terhadap model dilakukan dengan analisa sensitivitas terhadap kehalusan mesh dan inkrementasi deformasi vertikal, sedang validasi terhadap benda uji eksperimental di tujukan pada aspek respon beban-deformasi dan pola perkembangan retak beton. Dari proses ini dibuktikan bahwa model yang dikembangkan memberikan hasil prediksi yang sangat teliti terhadap perilaku elemen sesungguhnya, sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai alat simulasi.

Abstract

Menurut SNI 2847-2019 pengertian balok tinggi adalah komponen struktur yang dibebani satu sisi dan ditopang pada muka yang berlawanan sedemikian hingga komponen tekan sepert  strat dapat terbentuk diantara beban dan tumpuan. Dijabarkan pula rasio bentang bersih balok dibandingkan tinggi balok harus memenuhi persyaratan (l/h) < 4. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mencari nilai korelasi tegangan dan sudut trajektori terhadap rasio l/h balok dengan bentang 4 meter ketika diberikan beban terpusat, P = 2000 kN. Dalam proses analisanya menggunakan software SAP v.14 untuk mencari nilai tegangan dan sudut trajektori berbagai variasi l/h.  Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini yaitu : (1) Rasio l/h balok tinggi mempengaruhi besarnya tegangan dan sudut trajektori, dimana semakin kecil rasio l/h balok semakin kecil pula tegangan dan semakin besar sudut trajektori yang dihasilkan, (2) Variasi lebar balok mempengaruhi besarnya tegangan tetapi tidak dengan sudut trajektorinya. Semakin bertambah lebar balok, semakin kecil tegangan tarik dan tekan maksimumnya. Semakin bertambah lebar balok ternyata tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sudut trajektori yang dihasilkan.
