Abstract

Tegangan tembus merupakan salah satu parameter penting dalam sistem isolasi listrik yang menentukan batas kemampuan suatu medium dalam menahan medan listrik sebelum terjadi pelepasan muatan listrik (breakdown). Material elektroda yang digunakan dalam sistem bertegangan tinggi sangat mempengaruhi distribusi medan listrik dan nilai tegangan tembus yang dihasilkan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji karakteristik tegangan tembus dari berbagai jenis material elektroda dalam medan listrik seragam. Studi ini secara khusus membandingkan empat jenis logam, yaitu stainless steel, aluminium, tembaga, dan kuningan, yang umum digunakan dalam aplikasi kelistrikan. Pengujian dilakukan secara eksperimental di Laboratorium Tegangan Tinggi dengan menggunakan konfigurasi elektroda bola-bola, jarum-jarum, dan pelat-pelat pada medium udara. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa material elektroda memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap besar tegangan tembus. Stainless steel secara konsisten menunjukkan performa terbaik dengan nilai tegangan tembus tertinggi pada semua konfigurasi, yakni 8,07 kV (bola-bola), 8,21 kV (jarum-jarum), dan 6,37 kV (pelat-pelat). Sebaliknya, tembaga menghasilkan tegangan tembus terendah, khususnya pada konfigurasi pelat-pelat sebesar 3,27 kV. Aluminium dan kuningan menunjukkan hasil yang bervariasi, namun masih di bawah performa stainless steel

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan sifat isolasi dielektrik material isolator berbahan dasar tanah liat melalui penambahan cullet dan gypsum, hal ini menjadi upaya penting bagi pengembangan material isolator yang efisien. Tanah liat, sebagai sumber daya melimpah, memiliki potensi besar namun membutuhkan peningkatan performa dielektrik. Metode eksperimental digunakan untuk membuat tujuh variasi sampel berbentuk persegi (40 mm×40 mm×10 mm) dengan proporsi cullet (5%, 10%), gypsum (5%, 10%), dan kombinasinya. Sampel diuji tegangan tembus menggunakan tegangan tinggi AC. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penambahan cullet dan gypsum secara konsisten meningkatkan tegangan tembus, dengan kombinasi 10% cullet + 10% gypsum mencapai nilai tertinggi 43,78 kV (4,38 kV/mm). Meskipun belum memenuhi standar PLN (9,85 kV/mm), penelitian ini menginformasikan potensi aditif dalam meningkatkan performa isolasi khususnya berbahan dasar tanah liat

Abstract

This activity aims to provide scholarly and skills for high school / vocational physics teachers on the application of research-based learning model integrated character education. The target in the implementation of this activity is increasing the knowledge and skills of the trainees, so that will have a positive impact on improving the skills, character and learning outcomes of students. In addition, through this activity is targeted the compilation of science learning devices by teachers of trainees by applying research-based learning model to integrate character education in Physics learning in SMA / SMK. The chosen method is to carry out training activities of the application of research-based learning model to integrate character education for high school teachers / vocational schools in Gorontalo city. The training activities will begin with the provision of materials on research-based learning models, character education, dissemination of research learning tools and simulations of the application of instructional learning tools. Furthermore, the following activities are guiding the preparation of learning tools and simulation of the devices that have been prepared. This dedication activity ends with the evaluation in the form of direct practice in each school which will be observed directly by the implementing team of IbM and the school supervisor. The results achieved in the implementation of this IbM activity is the Physics Teachers of SMA / SMK can design and develop learning tools through the application of research-based learning model to integrate character education and can apply it in the learning process, resulting 20 pieces Learning tools (including RPP, Teaching Materials, LKPD, Test of Learning Outcomes, student-based activity instruments and Student character appraisal instruments) compiled by participants of training activities.

Abstract

Collaborative learning has the potential to address these challenges by promoting problem-solving through collective participation within groups. This research investigates the effect of the Jire Collaborative Learning model integrated with Phylearn media on students’ learning outcomes regarding heat and temperature. The study was motivated by low student achievement, primarily attributed to conventional teaching methods to engage students in active participation. This quasi-experimental research employed a one-group pre-test-post-test design involving 25 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 4 Monano. The Jire Collaborative model emphasizes active student collaboration, while Phylearn provides interactive multimedia support to help visualize abstract scientific concepts. The findings reveal a significant improvement in students’ cognitive performance (levels C2-C4) after the intervention, indicating that the integrated approach effectively improves conceptual understanding. This influence is demonstrated by the difference in students’ learning outcomes before and after applying the JIRE model, where the average pre-test score of 46.4 increased to 81.05 in the post-test. The t-test results indicate that this difference is statistically significant, with a significance value of 2.10, less than 0.05. These findings confirm a significant difference between students’ pre-test and post-test scores after applying the JIRE collaborative learning model, indicating that this model effectively improves students’ learning outcomes. These results suggest that technology-supported collaborative learning is a promising strategy for improving the quality of science education at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Sains Knowledge is an application developed to support student learning. This study aims to examine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the Sains Knowledge application in improving student learning outcomes on the topics of temperature, heat, and expansion. The research employed a One-Group pretest–posttest design, with data analyzed using the N-gain test. The study was conducted with seventh-grade students (Class VII-A) at SMP Negeri 11, Gorontalo City, and employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach based on the 4D model, comprising the stages of define, design, development, and dissemination. The findings show that Sains Knowledge met the eligibility criteria as a learning medium, with an average validation score of 94%. The practicality instruments indicated a 92% implementation rate, while student responses fell into the “very good” category at 80% and the “good” category at 20%. In terms of effectiveness, student activity reached 86%, and learning outcomes improved from an average score of 48 (pretest) to 90 (posttest), with an average N-gain of 0.81 in the “high” category. These results demonstrate that the Sains Knowledge application is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing student learning outcomes, with broader implications for improving digital learning media in secondary education.

Abstract

This study aimed to see the effect of using learning models guided inquiry assisted by PhET simulations of students' science process skills at material on reflection and light refraction at SMP Negeri 4 Telaga. The research method used is experimental research with a quantitative approach and use study design One Group Pretest-posttest design. Data collection techniques through tests essay. The collected data were processed and analyzed using the t test statistic, where the test results The hypothesis will be based on the minimum completeness criteria, namely 70. From the results of hypothesis testing obtained t arithmetic amounted to 5.08 and the t table for 1.71, so the value of t arithmetic greater than t table can It is concluded that H i is rejected, in this case H 0 is accepted. Based on the normalized gain results Also obtained a result of 0.721 this means it is in the high category. This matter shows that the use of guided inquiry learning model assisted by PhET Simulations have a positive effect on students' science process skills.

Abstract

Lightning disturbances often cause induced overvoltages on 20 kV medium voltage distribution overhead lines, which can shorten equipment life and trigger power outages. This study aims to evaluate the cutting performance of two types of lightning arresters made of ceramic and polymer in reducing lightning-induced voltage surges through high-voltage impulse testing in the laboratory. The tests replicated standard impulse waves and were conducted in stages at 20 kV, 30 kV, 40 kV, and 50 kV levels, with each level repeated several times for data reliability. The main parameters analyzed included the measured peak voltage, response time (μs), and the cutting percentage compared to unprotected conditions, based on validated oscilloscope readings (time/div and volt/div). The results showed that both arresters reduced the induced voltage in most test scenarios, with the highest effectiveness occurring at 30 kV impulses. Quantitatively, ceramic arresters achieve a cutoff of 0.39–4.17 V (2.27–22.3%), while polymer arresters achieve 1.46–4.67 V (8.44–24.97%), and at 20 kV no significant cutoff is observed. In general, the performance of polymer lighting arresters is better than ceramic lighting arresters, which indicates the ability of polymer materials and housing designs to maintain lower residual voltages when facing fast transients Abstrak Gangguan petir seringkali menimbulkan tegangan lebih terinduksi pada saluran udara distribusi tegangan menengah 20 kV yang berakibat memperpendek umur peralatan dan memicu pemadaman listrik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kinerja pemotongan dua tipe lightning arrester berbahan keramik dan berbahan polimer dalam mereduksi lonjakan tegangan akibat induksi petir melalui pengujian impuls tegangan tinggi di laboratorium. Pengujian mereplikasi gelombang impuls standar dan dilakukan bertingkat pada level 20 kV, 30 kV, 40 kV, dan 50 kV dimana setiap level diulang beberapa kali untuk reliabilitas data. Parameter utama yang dianalisis meliputi tegangan puncak terukur, respons waktu (μs), serta persentase pemotongan terhadap kondisi tanpa proteksi, berdasarkan pembacaan osiloskop yang telah divalidasi (time/div dan volt/div). Hasil menunjukkan kedua arrester menurunkan tegangan induksi pada sebagian besar skenario uji, dengan efektivitas tertinggi muncul pada impuls 30 kV. Secara kuantitatif, arrester keramik mencapai pemotongan 0,39–4,17 V (2,27–22,3%), sedangkan arrester polimer 1,46–4,67 V (8,44–24,97%) dan pada tegangan 20 kV tidak teramati pemotongan berarti. Secara umum kinerja lighting arrester polimer lebih baik dibandingkan lighting arrester berbahan keramik, yang mengindikasikan kemampuan material dan rancangan housing polimer untuk menjaga tegangan residual lebih rendah saat menghadapi transien cepat

Abstract

Transformer oil insulation breakdown voltage testing is usually carried out at high AC voltage using the SPLN 49-1 1982 standard. The electrodes used are hemispherical electrodes with a distance between the electrodes of 2.5mm. The breakdown voltage value of transformer oil insulation that meets the standards according to SPLN 49-1 of 1982 is 30 kV/2.5mm. In this research, a new Shell Diala B brand transformer oil insulation breakdown voltage test was carried out using the SPLN 49-1 1982 testing standard. The novelty of this research is using various electrode shapes and different electrode materials to test the breakdown voltage of the transformer oil's liquid insulation. The method used in this research is an experimental method where the test is adapted to the SPLN 49-1 standard of 1982. The electrodes used are ball, needle, and plate electrodes. Based on test results at a distance between electrodes of 2.5 mm, it was found that the breakdown voltage characteristics of stainless steel, brass, copper, and aluminum electrode materials varied and did not meet the SPLN 49-1 1982 standard, namely 30 kV/2.5 mm.

Abstract

Penelitian Ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran e-tata surya berbantuan Smart Apps Creator pada materi sistem tata surya yang memenuhi kriteria kualitas dari segi Validitas, Kepraktisan, dan Keefektifan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) dengan menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian adalah 9 orang peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Kabila Kabupaten Bone Bolango, Provinsi Gorontalo. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) hasil validasi media pembelajaran e-tata surya berbantuan Smart Apps Creator oleh dua validator memperoleh nilai rata-rata 96.88% memenuhi kriteria Valid dan bisa digunakan; (2) Aspek kepraktisan menunjukan bahwa observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran memperoleh rata-rata presentase 84% dengan kriteria “Baik” ; dan (3) Aspek keefektifan ditentukan melalui aktivitas siswa yang mencapai 84.66% dengan kriteria sangat baik dan hasil belajar untuk ranah kognitif pada materi sistem tata surya  mencapai nilai N-gain sebesar 0,63 termasuk dalam kategori sedang Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan media pembelajaran e-tata surya berbantuan Smart Apps Creator pada materi sistem tata surya di SMP Negeri 2 Kabila telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa media pembelajaran e-tata surya berbantuan Smart Apps Creator ini layak untuk digunakan dan diimplementasikan.

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the motivation and learning outcomes of high school students at SMA Negeri 7 Gorontalo for the 2022/2023 Academic Year through implementing android-based learning media on temperature and heat materials. The research method is a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The research sample consisted of 3 classes: class X IPA 2 as the experiment class and class X IPA 3, and X IPA 4 as a replica class. This research begins with preparing learning tools to implement learning media based on Android material on temperature and heat. The results of the validation show that the learning tools are valid and can be used in the learning process. Implementing the learning process in this study is in the very good category. It can increase student motivation and learning outcomes, where the N-Gain scores for the experimental and replica classes are in the high category.
