Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesiapan mahasiswa jurusan kependidikan Universitas Bosowa angkatan 2020 untuk menjadi guru. Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Bosowa dengan subyek pada penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa jurusan kependidikan Universitas Bosowa angkatan 2020. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan angket di mana indikator kesiapan menjadi guru yang digunakan pada penelitian ini ada empat yakni kompetensi pedagogik, kompetensi profesional, kompetensi kepribadian, dan kompetensi sosial. Data kemudian diolah secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan rumus persentase. Adapun tingkat kesiapan menjadi guru bagi mahasiswa jurusan kependidikan berada dalam kategori sangat baik dengan persentase rata-rata 82,10%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Universitas Bosowa telah mampu mempersiapkan mahasiswa calon guru dengan sangat baik untuk terjun dalam dunia kerja berprofesi sebagai guru. Kompetensi kepribadian memperoleh skor tertinggi yakni 84,69% yang berada dalam kategori sangat baik. Begitupula dengan kompetensi sosial dan kompetensi pedagogik yang masing-masing mempunyai skor 83,69% dan 80,15% yang masing-masing berada dalam kategori sangat baik juga. Hal yang masih perlu ditingkatkan adalah kompetensi profesional yang masih mempunyai skor sebesar 79,88% yang berada pada kategori baik. The purpose of this study is to assess the readiness level of students from the Educational Department at Universitas Bosowa, Class of 2020, to become teachers. The research was conducted at Universitas Bosowa, with the subjects being the students of the Educational Department from the Class of 2020. Data was collected using a questionnaire, where four indicators of teaching readiness were used: pedagogical competence, professional competence, personality competence, and social competence. The data was then analyzed descriptively using percentage formulas. The overall readiness level of the students to become teachers is categorized as very good, with an average percentage of 82.10%. This indicates that Universitas Bosowa has effectively prepared its students for a career in teaching. Personality competence received the highest score of 84.69%, placing it in the very good category. Similarly, social competence and pedagogical competence scored 83.69% and 80.15%, respectively, both also falling into the very good category. However, professional competence needs improvement, as it has a score of 79.88%, which falls into the good category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the mathematics learning difficulties of vocational high school students in the frontier, outermost and disadvantaged (3T) areas, especially in North Maluku Province, West Halmahera Regency. This type of qualitative descriptive research uses the results of questionnaires, observations, and interviews. The population in this study were students of class X TKJ, X Nautika Perkapalan, and X Asisten Keperawatan SMKS Fomarimoi for the academic year 2022/2023 as many as 19 students and 2 teachers. The results showed that the difficulties in learning mathematics for SMK students in 3T areas West Halmahera, were: (1) difficulties in understanding concepts; (2) difficulty in arithmetic operations; (3) difficulty in solving problems; (4) lack of self-awareness to learn mathematics; (5) low motivation to learn mathematics; (6) less able to determine the formula to be used; (7) facilities and infrastructure are still inadequate; (8) the ability of educators is still low; and (9) limited coverage of learning in 3T areas.

Abstract

This program aims to improve students' and teachers' practical skills in entrepreneurship management and educate them about the aquaponic system that integrates solar energy as an energy source. The implementation method follows 5 stages: socialization, training, technology application, mentoring and evaluation, and program sustainability. The core activities were carried out for 3 days at SMPN 1 Liukkang Tupabbiring, which included training on aquaponic vegetable and fish cultivation, using solar power as a source of electricity and managing student entrepreneurial products. The results of this program showed a significant increase in entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and students' understanding of solar-based aquaponic systems. In addition, this project also produced an aquaponic system with a capacity of 120 pots and 350 fish. The products of this PKM are also expected to be a model for other schools in implementing the concept of entrepreneurship and green technology, especially on Balang Lompo Island, as well as supporting environmental conservation efforts and sustainable development at the local level.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan alat peraga yang sesuai dengan konteks budaya lokal, serta memperbaiki proses pembelajaran di SMPN 7 Turatea di wilayah tersebut. Melalui pendekatan PjBL yang berstandar emas, peserta pelatihan didorong untuk menerapkan metode proyek yang melibatkan eksplorasi, desain, dan implementasi alat peraga secara praktis dan kreatif. Pelatihan ini melibatkan sesi teori dan praktik yang dirancang untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman mendalam tentang pemanfaatan kearifan lokal dalam pendidikan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini meliputi 5 tahapan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan teknis, transfer teknologi, dan evaluasi penerapan alat peraga berbasis kearifan lokal dengan menggunakan model Gold Standart Project Based Learning. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilkan guru terhadap penggunaan Gold-Standard Project Based Learning Berbasis Kearifan Lokal sebesar N-Gain >0,5 dengan kategori sedang. Selain itu, jumlah paket perangkat pembelajaran berbasis kearifan lokal yang dihasilkan dari kegiatan ini dari 0 menjadi 10 perangkat berbasis kearifan lokal.

Abstract

The level of students’ motivation to learn mathematics has an impact on mathematics learning outcomes. This research aims to identify the level of student learning motivation in mathematics learning for vocational school students in the frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged (3T) area. The type of research used was qualitative research with descriptive methods. The subjects of this research were 16 students from the 12th grade of Formarimoi Vocational School, West Halmahera. The data collection technique used was the distribution of questionnaires and classroom observations. Data analysis was carried out by calculating the average score and percentage of students' answers based on predetermined indicators which were then interpreted into assessment categories. Based on the research results, it was found that student learning motivation had a percentage score of 77.09% which was in the good category. In more detail, the indicator of feeling happy and diligent in learning has a percentage score of 78.90% in the good category, the indicator of willingness and interest in learning has a score of 74.41% in the good category, the indicator of self-confidence and independence in learning has a percentage score amounted to 69.87%, and the achievement indicator in learning had a score of 85.16% in the very good category.

Abstract

Desa Baruga, khususnya wilayah Bulli-Bulli, Kecamatan Bantimurung, Kabupaten Maros, menghadapi tantangan dalam memperoleh air bersih yang layak konsumsi. Salah satu solusi yang dapat diterapkan adalah penggunaan teknologi berbasis energi terbarukan, untuk pengolahan air bersih. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada masyarakat setempat dalam pembuatan sistem pengolahan air bersih yang memanfaatkan tenaga surya. Program ini mencakup penyuluhan tentang pentingnya air bersih, pengenalan teknologi solar water purifier, serta pelatihan pembuatan dan penggunaan alat pengolahan air berbasis tenaga surya yang sederhana dan efisien. Metode yang digunakan adalah partisipatif dengan melibatkan masyarakat secara langsung dalam setiap tahapan pelatihan dan pendampingan, mulai dari desain hingga instalasi sistem. Hasil dari kegiatan ini memberikan solusi jangka panjang terhadap masalah akses air bersih, serta meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan sumber energi terbarukan untuk kebutuhan sehari-hari. Dengan adanya sistem pengolahan air bersih berbasis tenaga surya, masyarakat Desa Baruga dapat memperoleh akses air bersih yang lebih mudah, berkelanjutan, dan ramah lingkungan. Selain dihasilkannya air sesuai mutu air dengan kapasitas 80 liter per menit juga dihasilkan air layak konsumsi dengan kapasitas 1,8 liter per menit. Selain itu terjadi peningkatan pemahaman anggota kelompok tani tentang pengolahan air bersih dan pemanfaatan tenaga surya dengan nilai 0,39 yang berada pada kategori sedang.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas manajemen sekolah melalui penerapan teknologi digital dan energi terbarukan. Program ini mencakup dua aspek utama: (1) pelatihan sekolah berbasis digital yang meliputi penggunaan sistem manajemen sekolah digital, platform pembelajaran daring, dan peningkatan keterampilan teknologi informasi guru, serta (2) instalasi dan pemanfaatan pembangkit listrik tenaga surya sebagai langkah menuju kemandirian energi dan upaya mewujudkan sekolah ramah lingkungan. Melalui pendekatan ini, sekolah diharapkan mampu mengoptimalkan proses pembelajaran, meningkatkan efisiensi manajemen, serta mengurangi ketergantungan terhadap energi fosil. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi digital guru, efisiensi dalam manajemen sekolah, dan kesadaran terhadap pentingnya energi terbarukan di lingkungan sekolah pada kategori sedang. Program ini juga berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas SMAN 7 Pangkep sebagai sekolah yang adaptif terhadap perkembangan teknologi dan berkontribusi dalam pelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

Belajar membaca tidaklah mudah, siswa sering kali dihadapkan pada permasalahan yang ada di dalam dan di luar dirinya atau yang biasa disebut faktor internal dan eksternal. hal inilah yang menjadi penyebab kesulitan belajar membaca siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor kesulitan belajar membaca pada siswa kelas VI SDN 26 Pa’baeng-baeng Kabupaten Jeneponto. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar membaca yaitu karena faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal meliputi tingkat kecerdasan siswa dan kurangnya motivasi serta minat membaca siswa. Adapun faktor eksternal yang menyebabkan siswa mengalami kesulitan belajar membaca yaitu keadaan lingkungan keluarga dan keadaan ekonomi orang tua

Abstract

This study evaluated the effectiveness of a solar-powered Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) integrated with a water filtration system in improving water quality. This study employed an experimental approach, comparing influent and effluent water quality to determine treatment efficiency. The results showed significant improvements in water parameters, with pollutant removal efficiencies of 31.54% for Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and 15.22% for pH reduction. The Dissolved Oxygen (DO) increased by 29.41% due to enhanced aeration. However, Electrical Conductivity (EC) increased by 46.07%, indicating the presence of dissolved ions post-treatment. The anaerobic-aerobic process effectively degrades organic pollutants, supported by bacterial activity, while the filtration system enhances water clarity and odor reduction. Despite these positive outcomes, the study has limitations, particularly the lack of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) measurements, which restricts a comprehensive assessment of organic pollution removal. Future research should incorporate these parameters to provide a more holistic evaluation of wastewater treatment performance.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation between residential type (village, district, or city) and ecological awareness among students in higher education. Through a quantitative analysis, the research reveals that there are no statistically significant differences in ecological awareness across different residential backgrounds. The mean ecological awareness scores for students from villages, districts, and cities were 3.74, 3.81, and 3.70, respectively, suggesting that factors other than residential type may have a more substantial influence on ecological awareness. These findings challenge the strong version of place attachment theory, which posits that individuals in rural areas would have higher ecological awareness due to their closer proximity to nature. The study also notes the potential influence of other variables such as education level, media exposure, and personal values. Additionally, the research highlights the limitations posed by the small sample size, particularly for district residents, and calls for further studies with larger and more diverse samples to validate the findings. The results underscore the complexity of ecological awareness and the necessity of a multifaceted approach in understanding environmental attitudes and behaviors.
